Just want to give my KUDOS for the great work of the postal worker Beth. Not sure if you have an Impact Awards or equivalent that we can nominate her for, however we would like to recognize her for the great customer service she provided and the overall experience with our visit.
I've noticed this is a pretty common problem, but I moved 6 months ago and am still getting my mail delivered to the wrong box. The mail person delivers both the upper and lower mail to the same box even though it is specified. So, I marked upper and lower on the boxes so as not to have my mail delivered to someone elses box, but still it did not work. I have called the post office 8 times now and have had no solution. This last time, I spoke to a woman at 4:30 on July 6th and she was so extremely rude and laughed when I tried telling her my problem. This is so unacceptable. Something really needs to be done.
We've been constantly receiving other people's mail and frequently are missing mail and packages we are expecting. I have no idea what's going on but it's unacceptable. Whenever we call and try to figure out where the variety of our items are/went, the common response is "I don't know and there is no possible way to contact the person who happen to deliver your mail today." The USPS is legally obligated to deliver our mail at "uniform price and quality" which is certainly not the case at the moment here in Pleasant Prairie.
I have found that if you ask for a supervisor you get better answers. I have also had to call the main national USPS number to report problems with local branches, both here and in TX(had an issue shipping something to family a few months ago) also, the we can't contact the carrier is bs so don't fall for that. They can and they can have the carrier contact you when they get back into the facility, Just not while they are on the road. Good luck to you!

Trying to figure out if we have a "sub" again this week. Put a letter in my mailbox two days ago, and today at 12:00 noon, it was still there. Why doesn't the carrier open all the boxes like the regular guy? He opens each box and takes out any outgoing mail. Seems every so often we get a substitute that either doesn't know what to do, or just doesn't care. It's no wonder the Postal Service is loosing money to private concerns like FedEx and UPS.
I arrived at the post office needing to buy stamps. I walked up to the door at 5:25. They close at 5:30. The girl was locking the doors. I told her I only needed stamps so I would be in an out in time. She said sorry we're closed. Shut and locked the door. As I stand there with my cash in one hand and baby daughter in the other. I understand wanting to get out on time, but what an inconvenience for me as a customer. Very disappointed.
