Constant headaches with forwarding. Won't answer their phone or correspondence. Other post offices joke about how their job would be easier if they acted like South Hill. To the point that the only thing that works is to file formal complaints.

A manager is supposed to answer the phone when customers call the Post Office unless there's a established clerk on duty with a pick-up/drop-off customer service counter to serve people. I worked at the Post Office for a few years and have had family/friends working the Post Office all my life. I know for fact that the managers purposely avoid answering the phone or take as long as possible.

Puyallup post office never answers the phone. They did not deliver and important legal document to my house that was confirmed for delivery via informed delivery and I’ve been trying to contact someone for two days now. I work and can’t go into the branch before they close. They put you on hold or just let the phone ring and ring until it hangs up on you with no option to leave a voicemail. It’s literal crap.

Our mail carrier is not attempting to deliver to the house. Packages are placed in a bag and hung on the gate by the street (the gate is open). Earlier this month this happened three times, now again Nov 22nd and Nov 25th. The package on the 22nd was there for 4 days as we were not informed that it was delivered. Anyone walking or driving by could just pick them up. This is very bad service, and it used to be so good.

Obviously these reviews are not acted on as some that were posted years ago are still going on. Here's some more. The outside box is constantly being shut down. And when it is open it can sometimes be so full that you can reach in and pull mail out. The indoor small parcel opening is sometimes jammed so it can not be opened. So many boxes have been removed that it is hard to mail anything without going to the post office. And the staffing and rudeness of the staff continues. They make good money with great benefits so you would think they would be happy. Poorly run business.

I placed a PRIORITY EXPRESS FLAT RATE ENVELOPE inside the post office facility last night. There were people inside behind the wall when I put it into the mail chute approximately 7PM so they no doubt could see it arrive. It is now 2:40PM Friday afternoon and so far tracking does not even show that it has arrived at the post office. I paid a lot of money for the PRIORITY EXPRESS service due to the urgency of getting this to my family member so where is my envelope? Surely someone has processed it by now! Where is it? Why doesn’t it even acknowledge it has been received at the post office. It should have gone out by now!

It is now 6:15 pm on 02/01/2022. I past our postal carrier at about 3:20 pm and she has not made it to our home yet. I had a bill in my box all day and took it out at above time of 6:15 pm. If it is the same carrier we have issues before with delivering the wrong mail to our home. My concern is if she is not completing her route what is happening to the mail she does not deliver. I have talked to her in the past about delivering the wrong mail. Her answer was “I just have so many homes to deliver”. Really. It her job. Tracey

The Bulk Mail unit at the South Hill Post Office is closed and I've been told by a postal clerk that it is probably a permanent closing. Yet, the BMU still has hours and days posted on it's door, with a Closed sign underneath. The official operating hours on the web site have not changed. I have had to move my car from the BMU parking lot to the office lot, carry my heavy trays of a bulk mailing into the main lobby, stand in line with MANY other customers and if lucky, get a clerk who knows how to complete the bulk mailing paperwork and haul my trays away. This is ridiculous! And the bulk mail permits cannot be transferred to another office. I would have to complete new paperwork and pay for a new permit. Does the PO wonder why it's satisfaction rating is so low?

On Tuesday, January 4th,2022, no mail was delivered to my residence, even though the USPS tracker informed me to expect 4 items (letters). On the next day my Wednesday, my UISPS tracker informed me to expect two new items. When the mail arrived there was one item from Tuesday's expected deliveries, and one item from Wednesday's list. While I am aware that the USPS tracker might be a day early regarding delivery date, never has the service misinformed me about an upcoming delivery. So I ask, where has my mail gone? Why is my mail delivery coming, if at all, so late in the early evening, when it is routinely delivered before 1:00 PM?

I never leave reviews but I have also never dealt with someone so rude and disrespectful. We moved cities and the house we moved into has community mail boxes. Our landlord lives in another state and does not have a mailbox key for us nor does she have the mailbox number. So that already is frustrating. She told us to contact the post office to get a key. After trying to find a solution online through the USPS site, with no luck, and calling multiple number unable to speak to a person…I finally got through. The lady I got was so condescending and rude. I explained the situation and she spoke to me like I was stupid. If you can’t speak to people correctly, maybe you should find a job where you don’t have to deal with the public. I guess she was annoyed I was asking her questions? Seriously the worst experience I have ever dealt with. I guess it’s my fault that I need to find out what mailbox is mine and how to get a key?

Disappointed in postal delivery. We have not gotten the local adds, weekly Safeway ads in weeks. When they did arrive they were left on the floor near the mailboxes instead of being placed in the mail boxes. I live at the Affinity Senior living apartments. We also never can count on what time the mail will arrive. Sometimes it is before noon and some times it is after 5:00 pm. I can understant it being late during the holidays but not at this time of the year.

This has to be the most unorganized place I’ve ever been in. The other day I was in there and it was a full, a line way out in the lobby your pickup door is not open, and I am in line to pickup an item and you have 2 clerks on and then one leaves I guess to go to lunch and now there is only one person to take care of all these people. There should have been someone else to take over for the person how left. Today I go there and I go to the blue door and the woman takes about 5 minutes to put on gloves then she waits on me and is gone about 10+ minutes an comes back and says she cannot find it. She is slow and short the package maybe on a high shelf. But she did not seem to want to help at all. These are not the only times this sort of thing has happened.it seems that this place is poorly managed and needs some help. This has been going on before the coronavirus came into effect.

I used to be okay with the PO. However since the mask requirement (NOT law) I have been going in with out one. I had to pick up a package at the window. One of the employees behind the desk yelled at me to put on a mask. Not only did she yell but made a big scene. I politely said I have a medical exemption and it is against HIPPA to question me. She continued to yell at me and wanted a doctor's note. I do not need to show one. I was not near any one, and even when you get your package their is Plexiglas on the desk. I just left then. She was out of place and so rude. I've seen her in there over the last year or so. She always rude to people They need to get rid of her. I'm sure the PO will do nothing as usual.

Irresponsible, inconsiderate, selfish and so on. If you can’t wear a mask have someone else run your errands. Sincerely, Law

Sorry to inform you but USPS doesn't spend taxpayer dollars. It is the only self reliant federal government agency. And just FYI, federal government mandates the postal service to prefund $5 billion annually to employees' retirements who are not even born yet. The main reason why USPS is running out of funds and your closest post office is closing. SMH

Worst customer service ever. Absolutely rude, whoever the Asian lady is at the counter is beyond rude in body language and attitude. I was trying to mail something to Italy. At first I was told to step to the side and fill out a customs form. Then I go back to her at the counter and am told that I can't send mail to Italy right now. Why would you tell me to fill out the customs form THEN tell me that you can't mail it. But she YANKED the bubble mailer out of my hand and said "BUT you still have to pay for this" and rung it up. Once she finished all her typing and I paid, SHE JUST WALKED AWAY. No "you can put these in the bin" or taking them to mail them. She just WALKED AWAY. What an absolutely rude person. I hate going to your post office location. I'm glad USPS is about to go out of business. You all suck.

I currently as well as my neighbors have received no mail for the past week during inclement weather. For the past two days, the roads are clear, and yet, no mail. I've called and received a callback recording basically saying "we cannot help you". Whatever happened to the USPS motto: Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds." How about just an explanation or an update?

I am writing this on behalf of my elderly sister who lives in the Premiere gated community in Puyallup. She never gets her mail in a timely manner and I sent her package in a envelope that requires to be put in the box for mail that will not fit in a regular mailbox. The issue is, she never received my package that was mailed approximately 5 weeks ago. The community mailbox for packages has the key missing, so therefore no one can receive mail put in there by the mail person. She has left 2 notes stating there is no key, and please replace it, or deliver to her door. The Mail person has not replied or responded. How is this delivering needed mail? I am having this package tracked and I will not stop until this is resolved. In reading the other comments here, I do not see how the Puyallup post office gets away with not performing the duties of the United States post office. It is against the law to tamper with or hinder delivering mail, so how is this any different??????

Hello, I have called your local phone number for residents in South Hill, WA 4 times this morning (July 26, 2017) and continue to receive a message: please call back during normal business hours. I began calling the post office at 11:20 am. --during normal business hours! I am having ongoing problems with UPS SUREPOST packages being delivered to the wrong house number, on the wrong street, in my neighborhood. My home address is 11511 124th Street Ct. E. (on the CORNER of 115th & 124th th Street Ct. E. 98374-3191 the SurePost packages have been delivered to: 12511 115th Street Ct. E. -- wrong house # and wrong street Please resolve this problem as quickly as possible. My neighbor should not have to bring my parcels to my house due to wrong deliveries. Please contact me regarding resolution to these continuing wrong deliveries. Thank you.

My husband and I stayed home on Sunday waiting for a holiday present to arrive. He received a text from Amazon that the package could not be delivered because no one was there to receive it? That's odd. No truck came to the house, no one knocked on our door, no slip was left on our door. But that's what the message said. We went and checked our mailbox, nothing. How is it possible for the postman to claim we were not home to receive the delievery? This is absolutely absurd! And now, one of us will have to leave work early to try to get to the post office on a weeknight. Thank you for nothing. This is why I use FedEx and UPS.

I get the same thing over and over, "call back during business hours"
My problem is they delivered a package to the wrong address evidently. The note in tracking said they left it in the reception area or front desk. It was to be delivered to a house, there is no front desk or reception area. I called the 1-800 number 2 days ago and they were going to have someone contact me. Never heard from anyone so I called the 800 number again and she said someone should contact me in 2 days. Would have been nice if the post office would have at least called to let me know they are working on it.

I tried emailing a couple of days ago using the contact us by email but couldn't use the program because you need a number from the left package notice which couldn't be left at the location because there was no suite number on the address. I was trying to get in touch with someone to give them the suite number but there was no way of contacting anyone!!! I will not use the post office anymore for sending mail. It is awful.

I rather pay extra and know I can atleast talk to someone about a package.
