I think it’s quite shameful that government offices/establishments are closed to honor Columbus. If anything it should be closed for Indigenous People’s Day not for an undeserving person that didn’t discover anything.

Excellent… while mailing a letter at the office - my DL and other cards fell out of my wallet. Being from a different state, I didn’t realize til half way across state. PO employees found and mailed my cards to my Minnesota address. Thank you very much - awesome.

This Burien post office consistently locks or chains their lobby doors way before the posted closing hours posted on your site. I pay a lot of money for my post office box and it is going up again this year as the accessible hours are reduced. $58/yr, 10 years ago for 24/7 access, to over $200/yr for 6 days a week and locking up whenever they feel like it. And there is trash and litter out in front that has been there for close to 2 years. And I mean the same trash, a broken plastic fluorescent tube fixture cover has been laying in the front parking strip grass for almost 2 years along with everything else. There are thousands of unemployed people that would love to have those post office jobs, benefits, health-care and paid holidays and do a much better and more appreciative job. From a very upset po box renter

The African american woman who works at the front desk at the Burien Post Office (she is usually on the far left when you walk in,) is extremely mean and rude. She talks to customers like they are stupid, she has a horrible attitude, she even makes inappropriate remarks to people, it is quite shocking the way she behaves at her place of employment! I've tried being sweet as pie to her, ignoring all of her rudeness just as an experiment to see if she had just been having a bad day the last time I was there to mail a package...and she was still acting really evil, so i told her that she shouldn't be working with the public and she scoffed at me and said "I've been working here for 35 years," which I find preposterous because she seems to treat certain people with blatant disrespect, and I really think she discriminates, based on people's appearances, because I gave her no reason to treat me that way. It really would be nice to be helped by someone who is friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and polite next time I go mail a package, but it's unlikely if this woman really has worked there for 35 years and apparent that the people in charge just dont care about customer service. If this woman was that rude to me for no apparent reason, I'm sure that I'm not the only one who she does this to. I was even worried that my boyfriend wouldnt get his package after I said something to her because she just seemed nasty, thankfully he did get it.

Hi Rachel, I’ve always found the that postal worker that you are referring to to be matter of fact, yet quite helpful and efficient - get people in and out as quickly as possible. And she seems to provide consistent support for everyone in line too, so I don’t perceive any discrimination. I think she is just very efficient, not rude. That she doesn’t smile with me or chat me up is irrelevant. I just want to mail my packages efficiently.

The person who delivers mail in my neighborhood deliberately drives on my front lawn and leaves huge gouges in my lawn. It's especially bad lately because of all the rain we've had. It's not even my mailbox either. It's my neighbor's to the left and across the street. Does anyone else have this problem? I live a block from the Lake Burien School.

These folks do a lot of hard work. They do good work. Real good. There is one problem. The facility they have is outdated. This facility needs to be torn down, rebuilt, and modernized. This does NOT represent the investment that the City of Burien has made in the downtown area, nor does it give the Post Office employees a fair chance to give the best service to Burien area customers. The customers and the employees deserve better. Please: Compare the Burien Post Office to other Post Offices in the area. Then work with the Burien City Council to do the right thing. Thank you.

Today 4/17/2019 mailman stepped into flower bed and reached over railing to put mail in box. White, curly gray haired guy. I Dont like it. When my dad delivered you walked on sidewalk up to each house stood on porch and put mail in box. Now all they do is ruin the grass from house to house.
