This is for all the petty people on here complaining about their mail. If that’s the o lot problem you have in your life consider yourself blessed.

The Mailman that delivers on the lower part of Highland Drive in Skyline is Great! The mailman, Steve, who delivers to our house is the nicest mailman that my wife and I have ever met. I think he may have been delivering to us as long as we have been here (17 years). If the mail doesn't fit in my mailbox, he walks up the stairs to our porch, knocks on the door and waits. Then he hands over the mail and he always is very nice and says "Have a great day". And you know, these days the post office is swamped. The delivery people have to work faster and faster with more packages than ever. All I see below is complaints. People make mistakes sometimes, so give them a break. I've worked in retail for years and people can be so rude, they don't realize how short staffed and overworked a person may be. The rudest people tend to be those that never worked in retail or never worked with customers before, or never worked at all. They're the ones who will insult you and be especially mean. And delivering mail is the same thing. Everyone complains if once in a while they have to wait an day extra for an item or whatever. Anyway, I see all the complaints below, so I just thought I'd put a positive thought out there for once. Our mailman is the greatest!

Is it customary for your delivery people to look in windows? I don’t feel comfortable at all and seeing that my YOUNG teenager daughter answered it while I was in the shower...because you know “it’s the mail man” safe feeling, now I’m petrified him knowing who lives here and what he was asking her. I can’t get anyone to answer the phones to take a complaint.. I have a ring still photo of him with his faces pressed up to my window. Not sure if this is 911 worthy or not.

Last week two packages ended up on 2 different neighbors doorsteps!!!! Really? Today I had been waiting for two packages due today to be dropped off at doorstep as I had order and they were put on mailbox instead. They placed below mailbox where large boxes go snd left a key to get into it . Well guess what? They left the wrong key!!! Locket would not open !!!!! Talk about sloppy!!!!!

The service out Havekost Rd. has been steadily getting more sloppy....too many from other addresses clearly printed and I wonder what I have in other mailboxes. It's been bad the past year.

I was notified on Monday that a package had been left on my doorstep but it wasn’t there. I’m certain it wasn’t stolen because we live in an isolated location.

Second time within a week that small packages from Amazon.were taken [or not delivered ]to/from my mailbox. I checked tracking numbers and they say that package was delivered at 4:57 pm. I checked mail at 5:27 pm amd only a flyer was in mailbox. What's going on???

This is the third time I tried to have my medical pad delivered for my daughter, she has frail bones that can break easily, and every time the package is dropped off nobody knocks, by the time I get confirmation of the delivery, I check my mailbox and doorstep and it is already gone, You would think that they would at the very least take the simple step of knocking on the door to let you know the delivery is there when they leave something on the doorstep in a complex with twenty neighbors around.

I have had several conversations with the manager of the 98221 post office about the fact that the mail carrier crams too much mail into my small box and won't use the larger box for such needs. Today I checked my mailbox at 2:30. It was empty. At 8:30 pm I received a message from my daughter telling me that a package she sent to me had arrived. I went out to my box and it was CRAMMED full of mail and two packages. Both of the large mailboxes were available. The mail carrier needs to be replaced on this route. She's not giving anything close to good service and the manager doesn't seem motivated to correct the problem. Is the carrier just lazy or not right for the job?!.

I'm simply not getting my packages. I thought they were supposed to deliver to the house or leave me a slip. They are left at my mailbox, which is on a busy road, in full view. Probably why I'm not getting my packages!

Here it is 7:20 pm on a Friday evening in the summer & we have not had our mail picked up or delivered. This happened often around Xmas time as they are over loaded with packages but what is the excuse today? Where does our mail sit over night? Can never count on mail going out!!

Last month we went on vacation for 23 days so we stopped the mail. Only trouble is, they continued delivering for at least a week. Fortunately a neighbor saw that the mailbox was full and took it in for us. Included in that mail was an important document; anyone could have taken it since it was there for several days apparently. When we came home we picked up our mail from the post office and asked for service to resume. It didn't. 3 days later we called the postmaster and he said they had not resumed delivery and he would take care of it. Nice of him, but this is NOT a good situation. I don't know who reads these reviews but I hope they get the message: These people need to do a better job. Maybe they are understaffed, I don't know, but this level of service is very disappointing.

I usually order stuff online and never have a problem. I started having problems when the older mail man retired and a new guy replaced him. He puts my mail in other peoples boxes and my packages too. I called for most two weeks trying to reach someone and never got calls back. They are always rude like they hate their job. If you don't like it then work at mcdonalds.

I went to this post office today to mail a return envelope for Jury Duty, and the foreign lady that helped me told me she was going to refuse to mail that letter unless I wrote my name and address on the envelope. I never write my name and address on return mail envelopes and to think she said she would refuse to send it. She also said it wasn't a government envelope, until I explained to her that yes, indeed it was a return mail envelope for Jury Duty. My suggestion for the Anacortes Post Office.....quit hiring foreigners who don't understand US mail laws and start hiring Americans ppl.

Disorganized post office. I have had good luck with the other post office in Burlington or Mount Vernon
