I’m not sure what’s going on with Roanoke County but I have not gotten my mail in three days.

I can't believe the laziness of leaving a package in the yard next to the mailbox. That is against regulations. Please address this!

Complaining here, finally, because I’m tired of this treatment I. Your facility. You have one employee, middle-aged black lady, who does not belong in a job with customer contact. At least not white customers. Countless times she has served me and never does she show an ounce of friendliness, gratitude or respect. Monday about midday is as good an example as any. Ahead of me is a young black man. I watch her serve him. Warm, pleasant and outgoing. When it’s my turn to be served by her I step up and say ‘good morning!’ No response. I try again a little louder ‘hello!” Zero response. After completing my transaction I say ‘thank you!’ This lady literally looks at me and grunts. Not ‘you’re welcome’. Not ‘have a nice day’. Simply a grunt. I get it. She’s a racist and a horrible employee. If you want to retain her please stop inflicting her on us. Everyone else in your branch is friendly and polite. This one needs to go

I have had the exact same experience as Craigh17. The middle aged African American lady who works at this location is horrible!!!!! Rude, condescending, refuses to do her job, she made me want to cry. She needs to be fired, she’s terrible and makes me avoid this entire location soley due to this employee

I have left notes for the carrier multiple time and yet, the door to my mailbox is still left open more than 75 percent of the time just because he won’t push it an extra 1 cm to make it click. So tired of wet mail. Then despite having time sensitive out going mail with it being the only thing in the box WITH THE FLAG UP, he doesn’t take it. Miss our old delivery man.

Package from Amazon was left under my mailbox yesterday. Fortunately, an HONEST neighbor brought it to my house. The package as well as the contents was soaking wet. UPS & FEDX leave packages outside my door in a covered area. USPS should provide same service.

Just stopped to pick up my mail and there was a box on the ground from QVC that belonged to me. Can't your employees bring boxes that won't fit into the box up to the front door? Pretty poor service - not happy!

This post office is AWFUL. Ordered items are promised on specific days by third-party providers (such as Amazon), and a good 90% of the time, the order is delayed by this post office. For example, Two packages were scheduled for today; I literally saw the mail truck pull into our driveway, back out, and leave without delivering anything. This happens CONTINUALLY. We have lived all over the country and I have never experienced a USPS branch so terrible. This community deserves better!

Postal Carrier is continuing to deliver mail to my old address: 3782 Verona Trail, Roanoke, VA which should be forwarded to: 1851 Harrogate Dr. Suite 203, Salem, VA 24 153. Thank you for your correction !!! Jerry M. & Martha Sue M. Garrett

I want to compliment Kathy at the front desk. She always has a smile and has been faithful to be there doing her job even during the worst of the COVID lockdown she was always smiling and working at brightening the days of others.

From Ralph Pettigrew: Today I had been waiting for a package. I was constantly watching out for the package to be delivered, so I would have heard a knock at my door. However, when I was going to the regular mail box, I found one of those slips saying sorry they missed me . Evidently they did not knock cuz, I would have heard it... I was sitting right by the door. Please don't tell me to call that 772# Cuz I called 5 times & just got shut off. This is ridiculous. Now I must find a ride to get to y'all's post office. This is not right.

Several days ago, a package was tossed to porch and left where it could get wet. Funny how Fedx had already left a package up against the house where it would stay dry! Friday, my son watched the mailman toss a package to the sidewalk not the porch. Our front door was open, yes we have a dog who does not even bark at people. By the way the dog was asleep on the couch when this happened! RemInd your personnel that delivering packages is job security for him! This is not the first problem we have had with this mailman! You’d think he’d be smart enough to notice that if the door is open then someone must be close by. Again we have a very friendly dog!

Are customers required to wear a mask while inside the post office obtaining services from a postal employee? Everyone but one man had a mask on and although I had a mask on and did social distancing it was upsetting having to stand near his space unmasked. I think if customers want to obtain services, they should either have a mask on or be asked to leave. I am a senior citizen and a RN who takes their and others health seriously and the post office being a government agency should follow the rules. If the customer cannot wear a mask for health reason (and this particular man did not appear to fit that bill, then they should receive service from the door in the lobby and call ahead. This occurred about 2p on Monday, 7/13 with a second postal worker on the right. Thank you, Mary Wright

Tracking ID 9361289695090262898660 Sunday, April 15 12:53 PM Carrier is unable to gain access to front door to deliver the package. Please contact the carrier to resolve Roanoke, VA I saw the mail carrier go to house next door and then make U-turn and come back to 3253 Longhorn Rd. He then searched around in the truck while parked at our mail box and drove off. There was NO OBSTRUCTION to our front door or driveway!

I have had a package lost for two weeks and when I tried to get help from my postoffice in Salem they sent out David Ayers to be incredibly rude and to get rid of me. He had no intention in helping me, he only was looking for a reason to get rid of me. I went to another employee to complain about how rude he was and David Ayers called security on me. He claimed I shoved my phone in his face when I showed him I had another postoffice employee on the phone from L.A. who was saying “I needed him”. he used this for a excuse to shut the door in my face and refused to help. If David Ayers in Salem is any representation of the post office I will never see my package again. Incredibly Offended, Deborah Semones

As part of my holiday shopping, I ordered a rare, out of print book that was delivered on November 29. I received a text that it had arrived. When I arrived home at dusk with rain in the forecast, I was horrified to find the package lying several feet from your mailbox on the edge of US Route 221. If this is a result in the downgrade in the service provided in Roanoke, postal customers are in for future disappointments.
