Postal service has lost their mind! On August 23, 23 I purchased $110 money order for myself and someone else for an event scheduled for 16 September. August 24, 23 I mailed it from the Hopkins Road, Richmond, VA post office, putting it in their dropbox outside. September 16 myself and the person arrive at the event to find out, they never received the order, therefore, the person and I had to incur additional cost to eat at the event, and was not able to get the souvenir, gift bags that we’re giving out to all the attendees. I go back with my receipt to the post office to inquire and they say I have to pay them $17.30 to process a refund to get my money back after they have lost my money order. They are asking for 17 1/2+% of my money to give me back my money. The only reason is 17 1/2% is because I paid for two people. if I had paid for just myself they would be asking for 35% interest on my money. I do believe that’s usury interest and illegal. In essence they’re now asking me to pay $20 for $2 money order!!! I have refused to do this because I didn’t lose it, they did. Why should I pay for them not doing their job? I have spoken with Postal Consumer Affairs on the phone. I have left numerous messages at the 1801 Brooke Road Post Office and no one has gotten back to me. I went in person to the 1801 Brook Rd., Post Office November 6, 23 to discuss it with someone but was told no managers were in so I again left my information with the telephone number and as of today, November 8, 23 no one still has gotten back to me. Someone please make it make sense.

With the removal of drop boxes how do you drop off Mail and return packages? The P.O. is open 9-5. I work 8-5. Guess you will need to extend hours to accommodate customers now. Ha that’s a laugh.

On 6- 7-2022 I received mail by a neighbor because new replacement carrier forgot thier key for mail boxes!!! I am praying this never happen again. Seniors get important private data by mail ! Also, some folks use mailbox to send mail due to no transportation. Please remind mail person to check and pick up mail daily, Thank you.😍🛂👍

Today is Friday 1/7/22. I have not seen a postal truck all week. The last time we got was in December. This is rediculous. I know we got snow but our road had been fine. Our road is Harris creek rd. Charlottesville Va 22902

The insufficient levels of staffing at the Parham Rd facility make customer service unacceptably slow. Eight in line behind one person being helped by only one staff member.

They put a Bat in our packages 📦 It was in the house for 4 days and they don’t even apologize. It could give someone rabies. I’m 75 and I was scared they did this to me and they frightened me. Be aware! Just pay the extra money and get UPS or Fed Ex!

Our mail is not being delivered everyday. The past several Fridays, no delivery. I call our Post Office, spoke to a man by the name of Carter. He told me our normal carrier didn't show up for work Friday. They split the route between 3 carriers. I ask him to check the previous Friday's, he said he couldn't do that , he had to get trucks out. he told me to call back Sat, which I did. A lady answered, put me on hold, came back and said he wasn't in. She ask my name and address, which I gave. I ask for her name twice, she didn't answer. She said she was in the middle of doing other things, and hung up. How long do we tolerate this lack of competency, attitude, being out of compliance with the Federal Law, pertaining to mail delivery? The definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results. It starts at the top. The Glenburnie Postal Office has toxic attitude, with defiance. Where does the buck stop? How is this ok? Any thoughts ?

I sell books over the internet. The post office has a way to make arrangements to have my mail picked up at my front door. However, its Tuesday evening and nobody came to pick-up or deliver to anyone in the neighborhood. In fact they missed my pick up and the whole neighborhood on Monday and Saturday as well. I telephoned the local 23226 post office and was rudely attacked by the person there before she hung up. I have left a message for our congressperson and have called Channel 12 on your side hoping to here back. Some say it is the new director. Not sure. Very frustrated

I mailed 2 packages on April 9th, one to MD, which is north of here, and one to just up the street. I purposefully sent the one to MD Priority as the customer needed her order before leaving town. Both packages went south, to Greensboro, NC and then north again, causing them to arrive late. Needless to say, the MD package did not arrive in time, causing major issues. This was not an error that can be explained by covid. I have been having so many problems with USPS lately. Perhaps incompetency is one reason mail prices keep rising.

I have three sisters in Virginia and all of their mail has to go thru Richmond. I have sent many packages (priorty) and and first class letters. I would say 92% have ended up in a black hole there for several days, sometimes weeks. I have a package there now that has been there for a couple of weeks. Sincerely Barbara Jordan, Cheyenne. WY

MR. BEAKER- you need to get new postal people in my area, the one here now are awful ! mail is lost, mail is stuffed in mail shoots like it's trash, mail is left out of mail boxes and dropped down in the junk mail space, and small packages thrown up out your door or close to it ! important documents have been found among trash and junk mail and the mail annex on ARL. BLVD. has lost mail that comes back over 30 days later and not honored change of addresses

I have not received mail in over a week. My informed delivery since last Tuesday says I’m supposed to be getting 13 pieces of mail. I haven’t received a thing since last Monday. This is ridiculous. Like many of us, some things are time sensitive and it’s a shame that we cannot get any type of assistance to help us find our mail. SMH!

After waiting in line for 1 1/2 hours to get our mail started back, guess what...we are still not getting mail. This is crazy. We need our mail! So I guess I need to go wait for another 1 1/2. At least I'll get what's come in since last time. Life it too short for this. Way too short.

Where can I go online to find any definitive instructions on how to do a bulk mailing. I've been doing them for over nine years and I never know how it's going to go BECAUSE YOU DO NOT HAVE THE PROCEURE CLEARLY STATED ANYWHERE THAT I HAVE FOUND. I have googled and searched. Something relatively simply has become a nightmare every time.

Is there a phone number to ANY phone at the post office that a human being would actually answer?

My experience with bulk mailing is that every time I go to the post office the procedure has changed, I am lectured by the clerk and it takes at least 45 mins. All for 200 copies of a newsletter. Abysmal. To add insult to injury, a lot of the information on this page is incorrect or outdated. Shoddy shoddy shoddy.

none of these voice phone numbers work.
I called the 800 number and hung up after being on hold for 20 minutes.
The post office claims it was open on July 7th, but the doors were locked at 10:00am!
