I was told by another postal service that a package addressed 612 cicero DR ruther glen va 22546 was sent to your office and the new address is suppous to be 2252 Partlow RD Beaverdam va 23015 i think when it was returned from 612 cicero DR the other post office had wrong address to i dont think they changed the zip or somthing but the tracking number is 9405511699000047557621 and if you have that item it should be sent to 2252 Partlow RD Beaverdam va 23015

The experience was good,. Yes waiting time was long but if you have all the required documents in place like the Xerox copies , photos etc then the process takes only 10 mins at the window as we did. Ms Janet was really helpful in giving all the information . Sat are usually busy. Overall process went smoothly
I don't usually go online and write reviews, but my family of five just completed the passport renewal process in the Merrifield office, and the service was excellent. Chumming was superb, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond the call of duty. Cynthia helped keep the mood light despite a wait on a busy day. Everyone left smiling. There is a package which I ordered almost 2 weeks ago sitting at this facility since the 19th (according to the tracking number). What is going on at this facility that they can't scan a package out and send it on its way in a timely fashion. I need my textbook!
You go to the Merrifield Post Office website and it says hours "MIGHT" be altered for New Years Eve. You call the Merrifield Post Office on New Year's Eve and the recording gives you regular hours. Getting information out of the Post Office is impossible. And yet they are paid $20 an hour to start when they could easily hire the iilegals that Obama brings in for $8 to $10 an hour any time.
horrible service, they won't pick up the phone to answer or leave it off. This goes on for days.Why nad how can this go on as these folks are there to support us ! Maybe closing this place is not bad idea, it certainly is not to big to fail...it is now ! Just rude to not even answer the phones. How childish.
Very disappointed. I sent a Priority Mail, perishable package on Mon, 29 Jun, with an expected delivery of 2 Jul; however, it never made it there. The ability to track the package ended after it arrived at its first stop - the Merrifield Post Office. In an attempt to locate my package, I called or visited 4 US Postal offices (originating PO in Centreville, the 1800 USPS number, Merrifield processing center, and the local PO in Arcadia, FL). The online tracking system indicated the last scan was for delivery at the Merrifield facility, but Merrifield said that sometimes packages get through without being scanned; they said the package left their facility and was enroute to its final destination. The individual at Merrifield told me that if only I had sent it Priority EXPRESS (vs. simply PRIORITY Mail); they would be able to track it. What?!? That makes no sense!! The only piece of useful advice she gave me was to contact the local PO in Arcadia to see if they might have it.The Postmaster in Arcadia was very helpful and was able to give me very detailed information about my package. He said my package was scanned twice in Merrifield; once automatically by Small Parcel Machine #3, and then again by an address and coding machine (physical scan). But he did not see a departure scan and felt that the package was still in the processing facility in Merrifield. Although Merrifield disputes that.I finally resigned myself to the package being LOST. But, how can someone on the receiving end provide me with all those details, but no one on this end could tell me anything other than “it’s making its way to your final destination”? Very frustrating!I give Arcadia PO 10 stars and all the others 0 stars.
Neither Merrifield nor Belle View answer the phone. I paid $15 to the Passport office last week for overnight express of my passport. When I mentioned it to the carrier after three days he looked surprised and said he would have to talk to the regular carrier. I was a strong advocate until this week.
Your mailing system is totally ridiculous! I paid $6.00 for 2 day delivery and $50.00 insurance from Woodbrige VA to Gardner IL 3/14/15and Merrifield loses the Package. The other package I sent out with this one made it to its destination in Greenfield IN. on the 16th. You guys dont answer your phone you have recordings for us to go online, you wont let me file insurance claim till so many days. This is futile... I had to call Gardner IL postal Services only because you dont care what happens to USMail.... Thanks for nothing Sophi
I visited the consumer affairs office at this location and was surprised at the quality service I received. I asked to speak with the manager and he was so nice and very knowledgeable. I may have been swooned by his dreamy green eyes and movie star looks. The service was great and I received exceptional service with a smile. Thank you
ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS AND OUTRAGEOUS! NOTHING BUT A WHOLE SLEW OF AUTOMATED MESSAGES, NO HUMAN BEING SEEMS TO WORK AT THIS GODDAMNED FACILITY AND YOU GET NBOWHERE CALLING THIS LOCATION! I MAILED A BOOK TO CANADA ON NOVEMBER 26TH AND WAS TOLD IT WILL BE THERE IN 7-10 DAYS; TODAY IS DECEMBER 22ND AND THE PACKAGE IS STILL NOT THERE; ACCORDING TO THE PACKAGE TRACKER, IT IS STILL SITTING IN MERRIFIELD!I'M SO DISGUSTED BY THIS RIDICULOUS POSTAL SERVICE AND CAN'T WAIT FOR THEM TO BE PRIVATIZED SO I NO LONGER HAVE TO DEAL WITH CONDESCENDING AND IDIOTIC POSTAL EMPLOYEES WHO SHRUG OFF ALL INQUIRIES AND COMPLAINTS.
Not Happy, a package I am waiting for was picked up and scanned in at this Post office but has not shipped out and no updates now for two weeks. No one can seem to find the package or tell me anything other then it was scanned in as received .
The non answered calls is absolutely frustrating. However! I found a loophole... Call the 1-800 number and tell them you need to speak with someone at that post office and you cannot get a hold of someone. That agent has other numbers she calls and connects you. I've done it once recently when I was about to go crazy after calling them.
I didn't think I'd ever write a review about a post office, but, kudos to everyone on staff at the front that helped process all the tax filers that came in after work on April 15th. I came in around 7PM and they had many people on hand welcoming, directing and assisting people to send their mail. I was utterly impressed given my diminished expectation of what I would encounter on tax day. Great job!
I frequent the Merrifield Post Office at least twice a week. Today is January 28, 2014, Tuesday, what is going on -- someone -- a police officer -- needs to be seeing what the heck is going on -- I find this hard to believe myself, but as I entered the one way entrance into the driveway a car was coming out the wrong way -- I blew my horn and HE kept coming; then today (I know, I cannot believe either) BUT I am going out the EXIT and a car is coming in from Lee Highway. What the heck is going on -- there is going to be a head on. I utilize Merrifield at least twice a week and it has been for at least five years. None of these drivers give a darn -- please help.
I live in Baker, WV and since the postal service closed at Clarksburg, WV all our mail now goes through your service. The post office at Baker does not get there mail from you on time and delivery has been terrible. We receive our newspaper "The Charleston Gazette" daily Monday thru Saturday but since it's been coming through Merrifield, VA first we are receiving our papers dated back as far as September. Todays paper was dated September 23rd and this is the 22nd of October. We pay to get our paper on time and now we are getting it a month behind. Can you please let us know what is going on. I would think things would have been worked out by now since this has been going on since the 1st of July. I don't want to cancel our subscription to the Gazette, but who wants to read papers 2 and 3 weeks late?
I have been calling everyday you are open for a week and can never get customer service to answer. I have a tracking number for a package that I have not received. You indicate it was delivered, but it was NOT! I suspect it was, like much of the mail I get, delivered to the wrong house. The service (or lack thereof) from this post office is unbelievable.
