Hopewell post office likes to scan packages to get them out the way and leave them at the post office bc they are too lazy to actually deliver a package that requires them to get out of mail truck. I have to jump thru hoops and call main post office to start investigating issues. I have cameras and it never shows a delivery attempt when they said they tried to attempt which is first thing in the morning but mail in my area doesn't run till evening....and no one ever answers the phone and when they do they are plain RUDE.

I had outgoing mail in the mailbox with the flag up and new mail was delivered on top of the outgoing mail which was NOT picked up today (7/18/22). My neighbor across the street told me he has had mail not picked up for the last 2 mail days. He caught the driver and the only excuse she gave was that she was new. My mail is still in the mailbox awaiting pickup ASAP!

Sadly the post office is closed today nor can you ever really speak to a person. Our COVID-19 boxes were delivered today and the woman who delivered them stood at the bottom of the steps which there’s eight steps to my my door and I heard her truck so I had gotten up and open the door and as I open the door she threw the bag which was hit me and hit my house and if you don’t like your job I really feel that you need to get another one because if that was something that was breakable it would’ve been broken it’s all caught on video because we have cameras at the house and that’s wrong. Our old postman Jim was great never ever had any types of issues nothing and these people who are delivering mail could care less half the time our mail ends up next door because the normal post guy can obviously read simply 116 to 118 so he delivers their mail plus our mail to the house ! Thoroughly disgusted and God only knows how much mail we’re missing actually it’s wrong absolutely wrong if you don’t like your job find a new one there’s plenty of places that are hiring

We have not gotten mail in days in our neighborhood. When we do get it, it is around 8pm and frequently someone's else mail. We jokingly state in the neighborhood, we would probably get mail faster if we personally drove to every place ourselves. Not sure what is going on with this postal office but it is unacceptable. Alot of the neighborhood is elderly and have medicine delivered or in this case not delivered on time. Apparently, no one seems to care that it is not being delivered. We all are expecting the missing mail to show up in a dumpster somewhere.

100% hands down the worst post office I’ve ever dealt with. It does not surprise me though with how the surrounding area of Petersburg and Colonial Heights is. If you live around here you know what I mean. You get the very bottom bottom feeding employees with a minimal IQ who can probably barely breathe on their own much less handle and deliver packages on time. I would highly suggest if you need packages delivered on time for the holidays you in fact wait for Santa. He will deliver faster, also do not blame this whole thing on Covid/Coronavirus I’m sure it was like this long before. Again I would suggest just paying a little extra with UPS or FedEx cause your package will actually make it to you...

Today was the third time I had mail outgoing that the carrier never even bothered to pick up and my packages are consistently being thrown on my porch. I get letters weeks after they are dated and ended up being sent to collections by the library because I never got the notice one of the items had not been turned in because the letter arrived 2 months after it had been sent and postmarked. It was found at the library but the whole thing could have been avoided if I had gotten the letter. I live 2 blocks from the library!

The Post Office in Hopewell Va 23860 is probably one of the WORST in the nation. Not only do they throw your mail on the ground as the drivers speed up and down our private dirt road, I have recently had outgoing mail placed in my box that never reached it's destination. Often I receive other neighbors mail, and they receive mine. Their drivers are reckless and disrespectful of people's property as well as the safety of children. We have signs on our road that state to drive slow because we have children paying and riding their bikes on the private road. Also, they damage our road as they constantly speed up and down as they throw gravel around. Hopefully, in the near future the U. S. Post Office will become extinct as they are already worthless.

I am a disabled veteran who has to take other peoples mail out of my box and walk to put it in their box. I have my medication from VA sent to me and they scan it out for deliver, never scan it for delivered and don't know what happened to it. I remember when you could depend on the post office. Hopewell has to be the worst post office in America.

This place is weeks behind I'm constantly getting mail dated 3-4 weeks before I'm receiving it. Also sometimes I just never receive the mail at all. For example had a bank card mailed to me never arrived called my bank 1 month later they confirmed it had been mailed.
