Changed the drop off date for held mail from July 3 to June 26. 4 days later still no mail. Filed a complaint and asked when mail would be delivered. I was told it would take 3-5 days to get an answer from the Princess Anne Branch. Called Princess Anne PO. phone just rings and rings-no answer and no answering machine. I was supposed to leave on another trip today. Can't go without my previous batch of mail. VERY POOR SERVICE!!! Needs new supervisor!!!
I have found the Fredericksburg office to be careless and incompetent. I live in an Apartment community, they leave packages in front of my door, which have been stolen twice. I called to let them know NOT to leave packages in front of my door, please take to rental office...that did no good...lazy shiftless workers.
I went to the Princess Ann Branch to ask about getting a Passport for my great granddaughter. The employee's were rude and not helpful at all. They seems like they did not want you be bothered. Did not even have time to answer a question, in fact the lady that lady that made a appointment for me told me she did not answer any questions and would not even ask someone else for me. Do I made the appointment but decided not to keep it. I went you the Sealston Post Office where the employee's are very friendly ,professional and are there to help their customers.
Thank you for this post and recommendation for Sealston Post office. I was facing the difficulties of the Fredericksburg post office not answering the phones and wasn't sure what to do about it, but luckily Sealston answered the phone right away and scheduled the first available appointment and answered any questions I had. Extremely helpful at sealston.

Pathetic - 30 plus minutes os a BUSY signal at the Princes Anne Office!!!! Also - a package incorrectly delivered and USPS said, oh well we WON'T redeliver today even though it was priority and the carriers SCREW UP!! Way to go, no wonder privatization will replace the post office very soon.
I would LOVE to talk to someone who may be willing to hold someone accountable and also want to file a formal complaint with the USPS OIG...so please contact me.
reported a problem with mailbox for packages not opening for a year now. live in Fredericksburg Virginia in rappahanock landing, mailbox #5046 #2 key will not open lock. spoke to one of the assoc in area.nothing fixed
How does the Fredericksburg post office get away with having a published number and no one ever answers. It's as if they take the phones off hook all day so as not to provide service. I called all day and tried at 5:29 and someone finally answered. Post office closes at 5:30. Interesting that they finally answered at 5:29.
