I want to know why my mail is coming way after dark! I have to get it the next day. Sometimes they pick up outgoing mail after 7:00 pm but don’t deliver the mail until the next day. This has been going on for several weeks now. Yesterday’s mail again came late and I had two important pieces of mail for other people on my street, Quail Run. I’m sure I will get no response but this needs to be fixed!

No answering of phones, as with previous complaints below. Also not getting forwarded mail. Seems like I should be able to register a concern, including my address, directly to the SM post office, but this is a public forum so I will just note that the problems continue

Let me get this straight... you have an 800 number that is an automated system that does nothing.... you have 2 posted phone numbers that no one answers... You have a Reviews comment section that "are not read by postal employees".... Can anyone NOT see anything wrong with this picture? No mail has been received at this address since last Saturday,(today is Wednesday) out here on highway 80 that always gets mail.... Your automated 800 number is useless and so are your 2 local numbers Simple math... You phone system sucks, you don't answer your phones and apparently you screw up delivering the mail... Your Union constantly want pay increases... Simple math.... WHAT FOR?

I need to speak to someone. I have called repeatedly to the 800 number a d this is strictly set up for automated options. I lay for a PO Box and have a legitimate question. What is the local phone number because the old one is disconnected. Very frustrating! Please help

The San Marcos, TX postal service is indescribably horrendous. Poor customer service, never answers the phone (the number will just disconnect you), Rude beyond belief, apathetic... PLUS our mail rarely is delivered to the correct box (we get multiple neighbors’s mail and they get ours). And package delivery... forget it. I despise that Amazon contracts out to them. Half the the time the SAN MARCOS TEXAS POSTAL WORKERS say they can’t deliver a package due to “circumstances” and most of the time it’s pure laziness. Then when you go to pick it up... by ringing the bell at the Blue door, it takes upwards of 30 mu minutes plus for ANYONE to even come to the door. This is getting ridiculous

The staff are the most unhelpful in all of my dealings with the PO. Later when I tried calling back due to another mailing issue, there was never an answer. No self service kiosk available in a busy city and lack of customer service makes this a poor rated post office!

Worst PO in the country. Everything is broken. You can’t use the self service kiosk in 7 years. They never answer the phone. Instead of leaving a notice in your mailbox to come get a package, they leave it sitting on top of mailboxes on a busy highway. Or if you’re lucky for them to do their job properly, you go to pick up your package and the “retail” part has moved. You want to call to see where to pick up your package but they don’t answer the phone. So you drive all over town making three stops in total. I even had our carrier leave a rude message in all three of our boxes because they kept getting run over so we replaced them and put them in numerical order and they flipped out.

Horrible service. Didn't drop Priority Express package at rental office, returned to post office with no notice. Office says this is common and varies by carrier. Medication now missing in transit. No one answers the phone at the local station, and automated system says redelivery not an option. HORRIBLE service.

I didn’t get a package delivered because it was supposedly “too big to fit mailbox”. After I picked it up at the post office, I took it back to my personal mailbox and found that I could literally put 3 of the same size packages in my mailbox. I took photos to show the postmaster. My guess is that there was rain that day and the carrier didn’t want to get wet.

Yesterday, sunday , April 7th. One of your carriers was so lazy that they left two amazon packages in the street, this happened on a sunday once before, a blonde very heavy woman stuffed my mailbox, with melted medicines, we are not allowed to use a mailbox, we have a mail center on mccarty street, san marcos estates, so I stuffed the mailbox with rocks to encourage her to do the right thing and deliver to my door step, but who ever it was just dropped them on the ground, on the street by my mailbox, really? how lazy do you have to get? Fire that person, Government worker, just keep adding to their file and eventually you can fire them.

About a year ago I ordered a microphone. Unfortunately it was being delivered by San Marcos USPS. I checked my mail everyday before and after work. After some time of not receiving my package I checked the tracking and it said it was delivered. I called the office and was told, Sorry but our GPS said it was delivered. Their GPS can not be exact location, so either someone working there stole it or it was delivered to another house that's close by. This location does not care, and now I'm having the same issue. Package says delivered, but where HELL IS IT?!?

I moved here 6 months ago from the Chicago area. Before that I lived in Kansas City. The postal workers here in San Marcos are by far the nicest, fastest, most helpful postal employees I've ever met. They are consistently good-natured, helpful, and calm, unlike the jaded, stony faces I'm used to experiencing elsewhere.

I've had issues with mail being delivered to several addresses I've lived at in San Marcos over the past 2 years. Right now my issue is that even tho it has MY NAME ONLY on my mailbox, I still receive many other peoples mail while mine is ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. I've tried returning them and writing anything to be more clear like "ONLY CHAMBLISS, NO ONE ELSE" but for some reason, I keep getting mail for Casey Bass and some other fellow. I've had my mailbox packed so full that multiple pounds of paper fell to the ground as soon as I opened it. I cannot contact the office due to the website lying about their phones. I have bills, surcharges, court documents, new address licenses, and online orders that have all failed to make it to my home over the past several months.

First, the fact when problems arise, can never reach anyone on the phone at this post office when trying to reach someone to come out and lock our mailboxes! Complaint is Saturday, 08-04-2018 and again today Monday 08-06-2018 the community mailboxes were left standing open- not just loose as in not latching or such, but standing wide open all panels including outgoing mail slots. Carrier obviously just drove away. Unfathomable how or why this could occur and twice? 80 to 100 residents mailing or receiving mail, keys to parcel boxes all left exposed. We have ongoing issues with the contracted carriers. Need to find better employees entrusted with seriousness of our mail.

This has got to be the WORST post office that I've ever had to deal with. The mail delivery to my subdivision is PATHETIC at best. Complaining to the postmaster general does NOTHING because they do NOTHING about rectifying the problem with the mail carriers and mail delivery issues. This is a reason to hate Unions....1/2 of those people should've been terminated 10 years ago.

Why is the phone ALWAYS BUSY! I went to the post office and asked.. they told me there was was an issue on the primary line and use the same number but change the last number to a two. So the next time I needed to call I used the new number. Low and behold it was ringing!! Woo! and it rang and it rang and it rang and so on.... then the line cut off. Now the second line is constantly busy as well.... Both lines are busy! No matter when you call. It is busy. Always. They need to be audited or something.

Whoever is delivering the packages to University Heights Apts has got to be THE dumbest person ever. WHY DO I NOT HAVE ANY OF MY EXPEDITED PACKAGES I PAID FOR TO BE IN MY POSSESSION 2 DAYS AGO!!!! YOU GUYS ARE BEYOND STUPID AND BEYOND RIDICULOUS! Sad how the postal systems have gone down and they wonder why we hate to deal with them.

My amazon package that was supposed to be delivered today per their prime service was not, at no fault to amazon. The tracking info says this office received it at 8am today, but apparently no one at this incompetent office bothered to put my mail on today's truck. I tried calling, but of course they didn't answer. This isnt the first time they have LOST or failed to deliver my mail on time. It's a shame none of the employees read these comments, because something needs to be done about the poor service "provided" by the San Marcos postal service.
