I physically live at 1215 Walter Street, Lindsey , Tx 67450, however the Lindsey post office does not deliver Mail. Our Mail deliveries come from Gainesville, 76240. If something is accidentally mailed to our address I Lindsey. Ih mail is delayed or not delivered at all. This situation makes absolutely no sense to me. When we first moved to Lindsey a little over a year ago, we were not getting all our Mail before we found out about this situation and did our best to update our adrenaline as needed. Just recently we received our tax assessment letter three weeks after the challenge deadline because it was addressed to Lindsay. There is no way the post office does not know that anything addressed to Lindsay should be Gainesville. I would like to see the post office change it’s mentality on this issue.

Why do I not receive mail when our regular carrier is off? This is not the first time this has happened and been reported. I should at the least have the weekly news in my mailbox on Weds. I am expecting some urgent mail and have not gotten a single thing all week.

Sometime this summer, a decision was made about the residents of the Liberty Lofts not being able to receive Amazon packages anymore. Just a few weeks ago, this was posted in the resident FB group, after a conversation with the new postmaster: “I had a talk with the postmaster today. They do deliver Amazon on Sunday to everyone. They also deliver packages to the parcel lockers daily, so everyone needs to make sure they get their items out of the boxes and check them daily, so there is room for everyone’s normal sized packages to be placed there!” This is not true. (In my experiences the past several weeks.) I have had 3 packages “unable to be delivered” (a book, a vinyl record, and a package of pens). All of which are small enough to fit. I have checked my mail every day to ensure they would make it in, and they have not. Today (Sunday) a very small package of 5 pens, was “unable to be delivered” to a completely empty mail box OR parcel locker. I’m not drawing attention to this to complain, bring negativity, or anything of that nature but this is starting to get ridiculous. Is there a person in particular I even personally could reach out to and get an answer and hopefully a possible solution to these issues?

Saturday, July 27 I called the post office after hours due to a 2day priority envelope I had mailed had not been delivered on the 26th as promised. It was crucial my son in law receive the envelope by 1:00. Shar, the custodian answered the phone, contacted Brooke, the carrier. Shar explained the urgency to have the envelope delivered by 1:00. Brooke went out of her way to deliver with a little time to spare. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to Shar and her effort to go above and beyond her job to make sure the delivery was made in time for my son in law to make it to the airport on time. The effort of Brooke to reroute in order to make the delivery went above and beyond as well and I don’t have words to say how much I appreciate their efforts! Forever Grateful, Rona Doherty

Just wanted to say thank you to the ladies at this post office. They are always so friendly and helpful!! It is wonderful how they still have conversations with you even during busy hours. They do a great job, even with not so friendly customers.

I had been expecting a Christmas package. UPS tracking showed my pkg was at the post office. But it showed the wrong P.O.BOX number. So I called the post office. This very courteous employee found my package. He proceeded to verify and correct the p.o. box number. It wouldn't fit in my box and all lockers were full. But that's ok. I had peace of mind just knowing it was there and not put in the wrong box. A big thank you to the postal worker that was there to help me on Saturday Christmas Eve. 🎄

Gainesville PO will not answer my calls. I need my mail transferred to another location while I'm out of town. Answer your phone calls they may be important. And why does it say enter a key code?

I live in an apartment complex and ordered something online, according
to my tracking number my parcel was delivered to a "parcel locker".
When I checked my mail there wasn't a package or a key for a parcel locker in
my mail box. I checked the apartment office any sadly my package wasn't there.
I checked my email again and noticed I forgot to put my apartment number in my
address. I called the post office (it was nearly closing time) and told the
very nice lady that answered the phone the situation. She was very pleasant
looked up my package with my tracking number and took my phone number so that
my postal carrier could call me the next day. The next day around 1:00PM I
received a phone call from my postal carrier. She explained to me that there
was no apartment number in the shipping address so since there was a resident in
my complex that has the same common last name as me, she placed the key in
their box. I asked her why she didn’t place the parcel in the apartment office
for me to pick up. She then angrily asked if I worked in the office. Of course
I said no, her response was that I couldn’t receive mail in the office. And if
I forgot to put my apartment number on a parcel again that she would just send
it back! I told her that I would be more okay with her doing that then just
giving my parcel away to someone. I was also thinking, if she was intelligent
enough to look at the last name why didn’t she go ahead and look at the first
name and place the key in the correct mail box. I mean she delivers my mail
regularly right???Anyways, my only complaint with all this is that this is very poor
customer service. Not only could my parcel have been stolen but my mail carrier
didn’t even apologize for the mistake and put the whole blame on me. I
understand that I was careless with typing out my address but this is
ridiculous.

Just a thought, If the post man delivers in rain, sleet, snow and in any other weather. Then how come is it when someone parks in front of your house to go to a neighbors garage sale, and they block the postman from driving right up to your mailbox. Why cant he get his lazy ass out of the truck and deliver your mail with the tax dollars we pay him to do so. Is it to much to ask for him to take three steps from the comfort of his mail car to walk over and put mail in the box rather than holding your mail hostage for days on end?
