I called to ask if they could hold my mail till Friday then I could rent a p.o box.She replied no it is all being returned to sender WHY I'm asking u to hold my mail till Friday .No because your mailbox is on the house and it needs to be on the outside of the fence...Ok I understand that I only rent a room here .The other lady gets her mail at another location.Im the only one getting mail here can u hold mine till Friday is all I'm saying I'm expecting important mail any day now...Then she says ,"All mail is returned to sender." Then I ask myself why do you have a service to hold mail ?? Very rude woman and not helpful at all no wonder they need help .

Yesterday, January 8, 2022, I went to the downtown post office and was assisted by a courteous, efficient clerk. Time about: 2:30-3:00 p.m. She was also cheerful. I had read the post office was open until 4:00 p.m., and I was pressed to mail bubble-envelopes with my newly-released novel to buyers. Thank you for the packing tape that was handy on the counter, so I could finish two packages. (I mailed six, in total.) Thank you, postal service, for your enduring service to Americans, not only on regular business days, but also on a Saturday afternoon. I first went into the downtown post office in the 1940s with my mother. I had a POB in the early 1990s, POB 25, it was. Going back to the downtown post office sets off "remembrance of things past." My you never close. Thanks, Jack Matthews
