By far the worst postal service in TN!! I had yet another package gone missing ( prob delivered to the wrong address) in which whomever kept the product and now it's no longer available!!! This is not the first time either!! I get sometimes mistakes happen but not 5 times in the past 1 1/2!! One being very important documents that involve my license for my career!! I had to send double the money just to make sure of my renewal and wait 6 months to get my money back!!! There excuse , " new mail carrier "! Well that new mail carrier cost me a lot of time and money!! And I requested the envelopes back , each post dated one month apart but they received them the same day!!! This happened as well with my electric bill had to pay it twice and got a credit with my electric company!!! Who wants that??? Some one has to be held accountable!! I have since then stopped using the postal system for bills!!! It's absolutely ridiculous!!! Now in the process to turn them in to higher authority!! Simply pathetic!!!
I had a postal carrier leave a package on TOP of my mailbox today! Anyone could have come by and stolen it, it was a gift for my mother. We get over sized packages all the time and they leave it by the door, but today someone was too lazy to get out of the truck. Thankfully my husband went home at lunch and found it, so wasn't there all day. I called the post office and they were like "oh well sorry", they really didn't give a crap. So I have contacted the main office and have put in a complaint (have family who works at the post office who gave me contact info). It may not go anywhere, but I want someone other than whomever answers the phone at the smyrna office to know how lazy their carriers are. And if this package had gotten stolen I know that the post office would not have accepted it was their responsibility.
Update, received a very nice call within 30 minutes after my email request and was assured this would not happen again, the gentleman couldn't have been nicer. I really appreciate the quick response and didn't want to get the carrier in trouble, but do not want that happening again to me or anyone else. We have issues with stolen mail all the time, and this would be a big reason why if this was happening a lot. Very satisfied with the quick response and am hopeful this is taken care of.

Great, because I had my mail forwarded from Smyrna to LaVergne, have a package that should be delivered and LaVergne tracked it to Kansas City. WTF?
This post office lacks courtesy when they have delivery issues. They have lost several of my packages due to delivering to another address. Not once but three times. You get hung up on when you "raise your voice" as they call it however I have high ceilings so it sounds louder. I have never spoken to more unprofessional mail persons in my life. I would call back and then again get hung up on, refused to be given the Post Master Generals phone number as well.
