My son and I went to this location to renew his passport. According to the travel.state.gov website because his passport was issued prior to his 16th birthday he needed to sign it in front of an authorized agent. We arrived, not having an appt, but they said they could assist. I gave the agent a completed application which she seemed confused by. She went thru the paperwork discarding paging she said were not needed. My own application was also in the packet (mine was blue, my son's was brown). She asked for the $110 fee which I questioned because the website indicated it would be $135 because it was a new passport. She said they might ask for the additional $25 when the application was received. After stapling his picture to the form she realized it was mine, not his. By this time all of the pages of his application were shredded by her. She then said that there were applications in the lobby, we could fill it out and mail it in. I re-checked the website to verify that he must sign the application in front of an authorized agent. I said I was frustrated because he was home from school on vacation and we had now lost time. She said she was new to this position and offered no further assistance. This was a complete waste of my time and has caused more complications in trying to re-new his passport. People should not be given this responsibility without proper training.
