The James Island branch is deplorable. Weeds have taken over, dead trees are partially down, the drop box has been closed with a red tape for months. Before they were closed they would be so stuffed with mail you couldn’t get anymore in. Our route has been without a regular carrier for about a year. So our mail is either piggy backed on another carriers route or we have a sub. Either way we get our mail any time from 4 to 8 p.m, if at all. As a former USPS employee, I am shocked at the disregard of professionalism and dedication. Very sad!

Poor service. I visited your city for vacation and I had a wonderful time, however I placed a postcard in the outgoing mail during my visit on 8/26 at the Cambria River Front Hotel at 84 Ripley Point Drive. The day of my check out 8/30 the mail hadn’t been picked up and this post card has yet to arrive at its destination and it may never. I paid the postage, in return run the service you’re suppose to provide.Thank you.
The mail carrier in the Harleston Village of downtown Charleston, SC confronted me this morning about attaching my outgoing mail to the outside of my mailbox for him to see from the road. He stated, if he didn't see mail he'd not pick it up. I expressed concern having my mail exposed on the outside of the box for numerous reasons including theft. His response was highly rude and confrontational and he informed me he would not stop if I didn't do as he requested. He informed me this requirement was a USPO official position. I again expressed my concern and he rudely walked away. Is leaving mail exposed to the outside of a box the USPO policy? Is USPO responsible if the mail is stolen from people walking by my house? Is it the USPO policy to have carriers be rude?
I have been calling for weeks, package was never delivered, supervisor said mail carrier delivered to wrong address and no pkg was there either, my daughter went there. What is going on , Pkg was worth over $80. Always wait over 1 hr for someone to pick up phone to be told computers are down, I need to file insurance claim, please help, this is so annoying. I sent some mail from my job at 4963 Banco Rd. and the postman didn't pick up my mail today 8/6/15 and I don't know why. I placed it in the mailbox like I've always done but it's still here
