We moved from Mountain Top in June, 2023 after submitting a mail forwarding request. As of November 1, 2023, we've yet to receive one piece of forwarded mail at our new address. We submitted a complaint in mid-July and have heard nothing from the USPS since that time. (A receipt acknowledgement email from Jaclyn Carter was received but nothing else.) Numerous calls to the W-B post office have not been answered and their "survey" to provide customer service feedback is crap.

The employee is incredibly rude here. we were told there was a package we could pick up so we went. He told us we could not and had to wait for it to be delivered then dismissed us before we could even ask another question. He did not say why just said no you can’t have it today. No one answers the phone here. No way to speak to anyone. He is not fit to work with the public.

I am writing this review specifically regarding one particular male employee. I have encountered him in this office several times. He is extremely rude, unhelpful, unprofessional and very obnoxious. I am sure it will not be hard to know who he is. He is not fit to serve in a public office. I would drive to a different city of I have to, but will not return to this location.

I live on Essex Lane and would like to inform you that our mail carrier is very professional makes a great appearance, delivers our mail at a reasonable hour . Kay has never given me someone else’s mail .She is a credit to her profession. I am requesting that Kay remain on this route because of her being so reliable.

I sent some very important documents and checks to the leasing company for my car via "Priority" 2_Day on October 14th. It has been six days and the tracking information takes it as far as Philadelphia (it is going to Texas). As of today (the 20th) the tracking lists October 19 (yesterday) and it says "In transit, Arriving late. Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility". There is no time stamp indicating it ever left Phila. Today, I invested another hour and went and stood in line at the post office. The clerk gave me two numbers to call (the Postal Inspector in Philadelphia and another office in Harrisburg). BOTH numbers were not in service. I called the 800 number on the receipt. They were also not able to offer any assistance. I called the W-B post office and got the message: "The mail box you are trying to reach is full, and not accepting any messages". Thank you Louis DeJoy and your former boss for causing the final downfall of what was once a great institution.

After many attempts to reach someone, nobody at this office picks up the phone. Their mailbox is full (ironic) and you cannot even leave a message for anyone. All calls get routed to the passport office regardless of who you are trying to reach. Just another bureaucratic mess in which nobody is accountable and people will not get fired regardless of how poor a job they do.

I bought an item online and it was shipped through UPS and dropped off at the Wilkes-Barre Post Office on 11-04-2020. Why haven't I received this package? Is there anyway I can track it?

My daughter walked in with a prepaid package that needed to be delivered on Friday the 13th of March. She was directed to add the package to a pile of prepaids that were going out. She did that. All of this happened on Friday the weekend she was to evacuate from her dorm there at the University. She has since returned home to California where we live. The package never arrived to its destination. I have since found that that package was not prepaid USPS but prepaid Fedex and she didnt realize this. We are desperate to find this package. Can someone please help or respond I have tried to leave numerous voicemails on your busy VM machines. I realize we are in the midst of a national pandemic but I need to find this package as I we do NOT live in PA and my daughter will not be returning to school anytime soom. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to help find this package.

I was at the Wilkes-Barre post office on the morning of 2/29/20. There was only one clerk, who asked for assistance to help me and got no response from his supervisor. I spent a hour of my life there and never accomplished what I needed to and left.

It is with deep regret and sadness that I inform all who read this that we believe Amy has passed. Those of you that ever contacted this Post Office by phone expecting help with your delivery issues know Amy well. With a curt announcement of her name, followed by a message stating that her voicemail is perpetually full, we were all reassured instantly that no help would ever be provided regarding our issues. I'd like to tell you Amy will be missed but alas none of us ever had the pleasure of speaking with her, or anyone else at this post office, by phone so it would be difficult to say what kind of person Amy really was. What I can tell you is that I feel slightly bad for all of the times I have heard the announcement regarding her voicemail and thought the most horrific things about what I'd like to say to Amy if she had ever discovered where that ringing was coming from on her desk. Perhaps, being dead, it wasn't her fault after all. For those of you still looking for resolution with deliveries from the Wilkes Barre post office, I offer the following suggestions that would likely get far better results than contacting Amy. - Go to the movies! Your going to waste two hours of your life one way or the other... might as well be entertained. - Set your mailbox on fire and hope that someone from the post office calls YOU to ask you why. - Tell your Dog. Yes, the DOG. Your cat isn't going to care any more about your problems than Amy did. - Jump in front of a mail truck allowing them to run you over. During the ensuing litigation, ask your lawyer to work your complaint into his opening arguments. - Pray. Sure God isn't going to do any more about your problems that Amy did, but at least you have "faith" that he listened to the message. While you're at it, see if you can get him to smite a postal employee or two... Worth a shot, right? Stay helpful Postal Employees! With any luck you'll be bagging my groceries and doling out fries in the drive-thru any day now when the whole charade crumbles. I'll try to live without my annual phone book delivery. It'll be tough, but I'll make it somehow.

This is so funny. I just can't get a person on the phone. The prompts, even if they tell you they are heading towards "administration" takes you to Passports. When it rings again. To inform... mailbox full. I emailed the contact on the website. Bounced back undeliverable. There must be a way to contact them without going in? (i live very far away, in another state).

I been tracking my items and I received few, but one. It said deliver and no item was delivered to my home. I was home that whole day got my mail but no package. This is not the first time we have been reporting going to the Wilkes Barre post office for months now on our packages disappearing. We left notes after notes on our front door to stop leave mail on the outside on the stairs; please put on our inside porch. We kept getting other people mail. Our names are on the box it's only myself and husband at this location. I just don't get why our mail are not being found yet. Something needs to be done with the different mail men and woman; either train to know address better or look into the mail woman or men. I never had issue the three yrs I moved here. Now that our mail guy has gone we seen different mail people and the mail are being missing. I'm so tired this should be look into on why packages are not at the right location or deliver.

I've been having a problem receiving my mail. I went to the post office twice yesterday. The first time the Kingston supervisor, I believe her name is Lana refused to speak with me. The second time I went the Wilkes-Barre Supervisor Beverly ( a very nice, patient woman) had to page her and go back before she finally came out. I have not been getting my mail in Edwardsville and there are others having the same problem. Lana is not Supervisor material.

The postal service in my area, in particular package delivery is atrocious!!!!! They do not bother to put packages in or near my mailbox. It seems that it is now acceptable to just literally throw packages on someone's porch and walk off. This is just disgusting if people aren't going to do their jobs then they should move on so that someone who will actually do the job can be hired. My last packages included medication which was just left unattended on a chair that is on my porch. I realize that it is a major burden to walk the additional ten feet to my mailbox and or my front door but, you are entrusted with the responsibility of making certain that my packages are as secure as possible. I am tired of seeing my packages dropped on the ground and the package carrier just walking off. I HAVE EVEN INSTALLED ANOTHER DOORBELL THAT THEY COULD EASILY RING SO I CAN GET MY PACKAGES. DO YOUR DAMN JOBS!!!!!

This post office lacks modern business sense. They list phone numbers but never answer the phone. On that all too rare of occassions when they pick up the phone they can't help you, at all. Should they offer to take a message, don't bother they never follow up, ever. You must complain to USPS main offices in Washington DC. I am not kidding. I went for 2 years without an address, old summer cottage never given an address over 50 years time. The office of Post Master General takes complaints seriously.

Lost my mailman (Ashley Area) that I have had for a while now due to restructure I am now receiving the wrong mail my last mailman used to come around 2:30 this new person does not come till around 6 it's very inconvenient when you're waiting on a paycheck to come in the mail and you cannot make it to the bank in time. I signed up for the mail notification online it said I received my email yesterday mailman never came at all and I also have the same complaints as everyone else I have called several different numbers and no one even answers the phone at the post office this is very unprofessional by people that supposed to take pride in their work

I too am from the Ashley area and also have issues receiving my mail. I do, however, receive other people's mail which includes their certified mail notice post cards which at times are "Final Notices!". Let me as you this... How is a postal customer supposed to pick up their certified mail if you continue to deliver their notice to the wrong address??? Your mail delivery people either do not know how to read or they do not know the difference between "North and South" and "East and West!" I placed a VERY LARGE Sign on my mailbox over a year ago that states WHAT our address is, WHO the people are living at this address, along with Everything else a mail delivery person would need to know -- STILL We don't always receive our mail and STILL We do receive other people's mail. I actually clipped a miss-delivered piece of mail to our mailbox directly in front of the opening and the mailman never took it to re-deliver. I taped the same piece of mail on an 8.5 X 11 piece of paper with a large note on it and it still took the mail carrier "2" additional days to take that piece of mail back... In addition, I agree with many other people out here... What is the sense of having a phone at the Wilkes-Barre PA USPS if "No One Answer It!" -- Something Drastic Needs to Take Place at the Wilkes-Barre PA post office to straighten things out there -- Perhaps Clean House!

Just received notice that my package can't be delivered because of incorrect address. I have lived at this address for 30 years and NEVER EVER had a problem before. I have dealt with the merchant from which the package was coming from for 40 years and they have the correct address. However, we do have a new mail person who in the last 6 weeks has miss delivered mail to us on several occasions. A cylinder with a poster was smashed in on one end. An envelope with extra postage was ripped on one side. He barely slows down to put the mail in the mailbox.I just tried to call(3:45 PM) the Mountain Top post office, it rang and rang but no answer. I called Wilkes Barre post office and received a message that the mail box of the person I should talk to was full and couldn't accept any more messages. What in the world is going on?????? Seems like too much mail and not enough workers.

This review is regarding the Wilkes-Barre post office. I sell online vinyl records via a selling website similar to ebay. I use Media Mail shipping and have been doing this for a few months now. I am super disappointed in the service as I am starting to receive (some) of my packages back for R.T.S; I use recycled priority boxes and make sure to block out "Priority" all over the box. I have now had almost $200 of inventory returned back to me and angry customers that are expecting their purchase. This post office is a joke, they don't answer their phone, the 2 orders I have received back now were written ALL over, ALL over the shipping label, all over the box, etc...one of which they felt the need to correct the mailing date from 05/22/17 to 05/24/17 when I am 100% sure it was placed with USPS on Monday the 22nd of May. I keep track of all of my shipments on paper and when I drop them off especially. So because you don't do your job on time or properly, it makes MY business look bad. I ordered boxes from you; also sent me the wrong boxes. Luckily I was able to re purpose them for other things but honestly; this post office is a joke. The first package I received back was over a $100 order of about 6-7 albums, I dropped it in the mail and received it back to my address over 7 days later. I live a few blocks from this post office; if it were "wrong" then why did it take over a week to get it back to my address???? I don't know how some of you still have jobs, and I don't know how you could be a federal postal service with time frames and barely sub par professionalism like this. Let's get something straight, I AM A PAYING CUSTOMER. I received a package via Amazon the other day too, I didn't even need to open the box to get it out the box was torn, crushed, and opened. What the hell!!?!?!?!? HANDLE IT!

Not sure whether or not its the Post Office Union, Postmaster, Union or the building I live in. I await very important government mail and have been involved in some kind of illegal activity committed against me, My name is Wayne Gribble. I've lived in a Building called wilkes barre housing authority and have to say it is the worst place I've ever lived in! The manage ment are involved in all kind of scams including but not limited to falsifying paperwork for the PA rent rebate program. The building stinks like cat odor and just nothing but problems. Now I have just gone to my mailbox and found that there was a notice from the mail carrier in my box that says my apt is vacant. I have lived here for 9 and sum years. I can write a book on what they have done to me in here. If it were up to me and many others the building should be demolished Please help do something.
