Tried to send a parcel to England this morning only to be told by the Desk clerk that the post office no longer accepts us custom forms. Drove to Airport Road PO and they accepted the same form and mailed the box. Exton PO has had poor customer service for years but just had to write today.

Twice in recent weeks I have been asked by two different clerks to provide a first and last name on parcels I am sending out as Amazon sales. I was told by both clerks this was "new postal regulations". I questions one of the clerks about this recently, asserting I had never been told to do this task at any other local post office. I asked to speak to the post master and was told he was "out." I had never heard any mention of this "new rule" on any media platform. This is an invasion of privacy. The clerk said I could find the new regulation on USPS website. I looked today and found this. There was NO mention of this new rule whatsoever. 1.5 Return Addresses 1.5.1 Purpose for Return Address The return address tells the USPS where the sender of a mailpiece wants it returned if the piece cannot be delivered. 1.5.2 Return Address Elements The return address contains elements corresponding to those for the delivery address. A return address is required in specific circumstances (see 1.5.3). If the sender’s name is not included in the return address, another clear designation (apartment, suite, or room number) is required to ensure proper handling of ancillary services and/or return of the piece. ZIP Codes (5-digit or ZIP+4) are required in the return address of all mail on which postage is paid with precanceled stamps or company permit imprint, and in the sender’s return address on Periodicals mail when “Address Service Requested” is specified. Official mail (penalty mail) also requires a ZIP Code in the return address. 1.5.3 Required Use of Return Addresses The sender’s domestic return address must appear legibly on: Mail of any class bearing a printed ancillary service request or an ancillary service request embedded within an Intelligent Mail barcode. Official mail. Mail paid with precanceled stamps (except USPS Marketing Mail pieces weighing 13 ounces or less and bearing a mailer‘s postmark in accordance with 604.3.4). Matter bearing a company permit imprint. Priority Mail. Periodicals in envelopes or opaque wrappers. USPS Retail Ground. Package Services (except unendorsed Bound Printed Matter). Parcel Select. Registered Mail. Insured mail. Collect on delivery (COD) mail. Certified Mail if a return receipt is requested. Priority Mail Express. Detached addressed labels (DALs). Adult Signature. I will be notifying both the local Exton post master and USPS officials in Washington about this. These clerks have been given incorrect information or they are making up their own rules.

This is not the employees. They are being told to enforce invented rules. The Post Master General us intentionally creating havoc and trying to get the PO closed and then privatized. They have tried to get correct hours posted and are not allowed to fix anything on the website. The hours have been wrong if you call too. Many people drive down and find it closed when it is supposed to be open and self help machines broken. I NEVER had a broblem with delivery before DeJoy. Now I have sent letter and checks registered or return receipt that have NEVER arrived. This is absolutely DeJoy. He HAS to go!

I am so grateful for this post office. My experience has been just the opposite of the other reviewer. I've only seen care and kindness from these postal workers. Once I had package go missing because the sender wrote the wrong address and they turned over mountains to help me find it and we did. Once I'd forgotten to do a hold mail, my postal worker kept the packages and mail for me at the post office. Once when it was windy, she placed my packages inside my yard so if they blew, at least they would blow at my own home. I could go on, and on. It could just be that the other person was having a bad day and that poisoned the relationship. I don't know. But I think they are worthwhile and always make a special effort when they can.

Easily the rudest, most unhelpful post office I have ever used. I will NEVER mail ANYTHING from there again!
