They have gotten to the point where they won't deliver packages to our location and we live 3 houses from the mailboxes---- they used to and all of a sudden wont---- it's a waste of la pine time. I've seen them throw my packages up on my porch from over 6 feet (glad it wasn't breakables) my packages (when they used to deliver) smelled like cigarettes --- such a joke la pine-- come on. They are rude- did you check for prison records? Joke--- and they are not open on weekends and people that work full time 9-5 and work in Bend can't make it to the post office so my package sits there forever!!!!¡ Ugh!!!!

This place is so inefficient, rude and wacky. You have to go pick up your mail if you live more than 2 miles away from the office which is clearly a huge inconvenience for them when you try to claim in. Shipping from here is a nightmare. The people working here maybe should find a new job since they hate this one so much and are clearly so terrible at acting like a human with any compassion or kindness.

This post office is absolute garbage. Don't bother calling, you will never talk to someone. They might as well disconnect their phones, since they literally just don't answer them. The delivery drivers are sketchy meth-heads that steal your packages. If you are waiting on a package, good luck, you can kiss that package goodbye because you aren't getting it. And again, don't bother trying to call and see where it is. And if you do go to the physical office, it's dirty and understaffed, and everyone there hates their lives. If you can, just have your packages sent to a friend or someone else. That's what I do.

We have a new mail person on 6th street. But he shouldn't have to spend all day delivering mail. Mail doesn't get here until after dark 8 to 9 pm. When it does get here it is pitch black. What the heck . Old mailpersons were here before 4 or 5 pm every day.

We are off 6th and Riverland Ave. We have complained several time about current delivery driver and our packages not arriving either very late or not at all. Last month we were told the current driver can not keep up with his route, comes in later than other drivers and its become a big problem. Our packages get marked out for delivery and before noon they are then marked delayed. This is unacceptable! I give leniency on bad weather but its been clear, roads clear, driveway clear and still a problem. Now its becoming where 1 package gets delivered but 2 others are delayed and the newest thing is we are notified we have to go pick up random packages at postoffice. We have had many packages simply disappear until we complain and suddenly it shows up. We just had a package simply vanish after notification it was delayed after just getting notification it was out for delivery, went to post office over it and post office could not find it in the office or drivers vehicle.. Amazon reissued the item and we are waiting but still no word on missing item. Our mail is not being delivered as well with no notification, we went to pick up package and a pile of our mail was handed to us. In 5 years we have have had to pick up a package in office once, now its becoming a regular thing. There is no excuse, postal workers make good money! If the working conditions are poor then time to get the heads out here investigating!

We just purchased a home in LaPine having just read the comments on here scares me. We live in a small town here in Oregon and have had a PO Box for the last 25 years, we have never had not one issue. I’m hoping all these issues have been addressed. Yikes

I have been trying for two days to reach someone at the La Pine, OR post office at their published number, 1-541-536-7452 with no luck. I have wasted long distance minutes waiting while it just keeps ringing with no answer and finally a busy signal and a hang up. I am trying to track a package sent to my husband who is on a fishing trip at Hozmer Lake. I don't have a tracking number because I did not send it, but it should have arrived by priority mail. Just wanted to check if it is there before he comes in to town to try to pick it up. This whole system is screwed up and needs help. I am a former Corps of Engineers employee for 34 years and we never treated a customer in this manner.

I live in River Pines Estates. I am tired of having to drive to the Post Office in Lapine to pick up packages that will fit in my mailbox or in one of the lockboxes. I had to drive in very nasty conditions today. My package arrived last Saturday. I checked daily and most of the lockboxes had keys hanging. Are you being lazy or what?

I see all the negative feedback and I do agree with some but I felt I should post my positive experience. I have shipped over 500 packages within the last 90 days and the only main problem I had was a hold up in Eugene and Cleveland Ohio. All other packages made it. They are definitely not perfect if you have a problem Kelly will help you

I sent my son a check in the mail and he never received it and I did not get letter back. A guy is buying a house from me and he sends checks in mail and I do not get them all and he never gets the mail back to him. Some are coming from out of state and going out of state same for in state transactions. I have been in touch with these people so I know the Post Office is losing the mail. I mailed the check for my son from inside the Post Office so where is the mail going. I am talking about the La Pine Post Office in Oregon. They are losing mail. La Pine Post Office losing mail and doing a bad job.

UPS delivered a package to the La Pine Post office at 2:11 PM yesterday afternoon. It was signed for by Macdonald. I went in this morning at 9:10 to pick it up. I was told that it hadn't been sorted yet and wouldn't be ready until 11:00 AM. I had payed extra for 2 day delivery. Packages coming in after the morning sort not getting sorted until the next morning is completely unacceptable!!

worst post office ever. the post master does not take care of any problems or complaints. during that last big snow storm we got a message from the usps that they had delivered 3 packages at an alternate location (their words) so not knowing where they were left, 3 of us looked for 2 days and even checked with neighbors. come monday we went to the post office to find out where our packages were and we were told by the post -master that the packages never left the post office and they just stamped them delivered because they knew they could not be delivered. I went back the next day because her answer made no sense. why didn't or couldn't they just state they couldn't deliver them due to the weather !!! since I couldn't get a decent answer I filed a complaint with Portland and got the best non-apology apology from the post master I have ever seen and informed this how they do things.as I didn't like the response I contacted the person from Portland again and as of today I still have not heard back. I was told to contact this person if the problem was taken care of, which it was not. I have no intention of letting this go. we were lied to several times and it was swept under the carpet,GEE WHAT A SURPRISE!!!! DO NOT USE THIS POST OFFICE WHILE THE CURRENT POSTMASTER IS IN CHARGE!!!!

Last review was 10 months ago and nothing has changed! How can there be any efficiency when the leadership is a joke. What kind of training and background checks are done with the contractors that actually put our mail in their cars? Who knows where it ends up.

The La pine post office is the worst USPS location that I have felt with ever. I receive open packages, mail, and frequently get my stuff put on hold for no reason. I have tried to address them personally but nothing seems to change. I DO NOT trust the USPS in La Pine at all with any packages sent or received!! Its a complete joke having to wonder if anything will be delivered be gone through or delivered at all. Something needs to be done about it because any complaint done directly seems to be brushed off and not addressed. So sad

I had to call them today to ask for some help since i had received a notice to pick up a package but I lost the notice. They told me that they hold the items for 15 days so I still have a few days in which I can come in without the notice and pick up the package. The people that sent that package there are going to be notified that i can not receive mail at this address as they were before. In order for me to get anything where I live I need to have it come via UPS or FED EX not via the mail. They answered their phone quite promptly.

Is office and the Usps are very untrustworthy mand frankly criminally inefficient, the words on time are apparently not in their vocabulary, the mail is treated very roughly, I have received several damaged items, also is a package is ordered it goes to the post office, who then takes it out to the location it should be and if that's a mail box they take one look at it and drive it back to the post office decpite obviously knowing that the package would not fit, the only logic behind this I can see is so if a person tried to pick it up during that time they were heavily inconvenienced, this happens to me every time I order something and my house is approximately 75ft from where they decide it would be better for me to have to go into town to pick it up instead of them driving for less than a minute. It is simply horrible.

Don't bother calling the LaPine post office if you have a problem.....the phone either has a busy signal or it simply rings & rings.......
The LaPine post office is starving to death and shortchanging it's customers because it needs more money, money for a larger building, more carriers, more clerks in the office. Our tax base is enough to at least afford a functioning delivery system.
Why do the residents of this town put up with this: Demand a share of federal dollars and give this post office the funds to deliver everyone's mail to their home, just like the rest of the civilized world. Maybe then some overworked employee would not just assume you've moved and decide to return all the mail addressed to you, when you haven't gone anywhere.......

mis-delivered mail semi-frequently(I get to meet my neighbors more often). Don't trust sending important stuff in envelopes labled "DO NOT BEND" USPS rep stated that it is not a legal mark and they treat it as the do any other bendable mail most of the time. with some exceptions, like if they happen to notice the BIG RED words??!?!?!!!, or you have access to a package mail box system(which I dont).
