My delivery person has no respect fro personal mail. He JAMS it in the box with n respect of the damage to items he delivers. I have had him damage collectible items by bending them to fit them into the box. The last time we had our mail held for vacation he filled the box so full that we had to wait for him to come by in order to get the box open. Very disappointing. I ordered collectibles and just received one that was packed safely in a mailer with a cardboard backing. Because it was an envelope he rolled it destroying any vaule based on condition.
Incredibly poor service. 800 number has 30-40 minute hold times. The local Gresham PO simply has a busy signal - forever. Try it...
If a regular private business were operated this way, it wouldn't be operating, it would be out of business. BUT, this is a typical government, bureaucratic enterprise. Can't our government get anything right?
Worst service ever!!! Took mail out of my box, told me that it was forwarded but I never received my mail. Was told by post master they did their job, no idea where my mail went. Should be illegal since they essentially lost/stole my mail!
Ordered some very expensive golf clothes and had it delivered express in order to get them by my tournament date. The post office claims they delivered it to my mailbox even though it's not in my locked and secured mailbox! I live in an apartment complex. There's no way all of these clothes are fitting in a tiny apartment mailbox. So they either didn't deliver it, lost it, or left it on my doormat without approval and it was stolen. This isn't over yet post office.
I am beyond frustrated. Aside from poor handling of packages, now the key for the large box isn't working because someone broke the lock. I can't reach my post office, the 800 number is a VRU hell, and my meds are locked in a box. My complex can't do a damned thing about it and I can't find anyone who can. I just want my package and I can't get it. I HATE the postoffice!
I am so frustrated! The Postal carrier delivered a photo package and on the front in LARGE clear print it say: "Photo's Enclosed: Do Not Bend" That is exactly what the carrier did....Bent the photo package and stuffed it in the small mail box. WOW! Can the person not read or is it that the carrier did not care!? We have a large mail box for packages and that is where it should have been placed so as not to bend it. This is the first time in 40 years that I have had bad service by a Postal carrier. Yes, I am filling a complaint and asking for the Post Office to pay for the cost for the photo's and shipping.
I notice the comments here are NOT read by postal employees. Why not - I would think they would like to improve their service, by reading our comments that have criticisms. For instance, their telephone is busy too often to be a coincidence. I believe they take it off the hook so as not to be bothered. Strong union, I guess.
Worst post office ever moved to Idaho 2 months ago and put in a change of address twice and I still haven't received any of my mail so I called a couple weeks ago and still nothing. Now I know why the post office is going under!
