I live off of Oak Drive and I believe my mail carrier might have dropped some cash in our driveway but I'm not able to talk to anyone because no one answers the phone at the River Ave location. I have been trying to call all day long. Is this normal?

The postal delivery on North Park Avenue is lousy! My sister has had two packages not delivered to her; one of them someone else signed her name and received the package. Yesterday a package was to be delivered to her, and it was returned to the post office because the mail man supposedly didn't recognize the name, and is to be returned to me. Her name is in the mail box, where the postal system put it. Also, she receives mail for her children that do not live there, so the name not being recognized is faulty. If it is addressed to a certain location that is where it is supposed to go. We need dependable postal workers.

Called the above number during business hours on March 8th. Called five times. Let it ring an average of 30 times each call. No one answered.

After (at least) 2 weeks, I got returned a time-sensitive application I mailed out, addressed to an address where I was applying for energy assistance (I’m sub-poverty income, so this is VERY important!). I mistakenly wrote MY zip, ONE number off (97404 vs 97401). SERIOUSLY?!? The address was TOTALLY FINE outside of that. USPS wasted my stamp, took waaay too much time holding my envelope in processing & very possibly caused me to lose out on this year’s energy assistance (i.e. for electricity & HEAT!) this year because they have limited funds! The place I addressed it to isn’t answering their phone, is not returning messages left to them on their voicemail AND have a spiked 8ft iron gate locked around their building so you can’t even go up to their door to ask for help! Now THIS frickin’ picky uny error that Eugene’s (River Road? Gateway p.o.?) USPS was toooo lazy to easily correct! How aggravating! It’s an understandable mistake to write one’s own zip....c’mon! Talk about terrible customer service! GRRRRRR! 😤🤬😡😤. I’ll definitely announce this on social media & also be reconsidering any increases for USPS fees/funds if a vote ever comes up for it!

Last Saturday, employees were wearing masks, but one did not follow social distancing rules with customers. A customer was getting a package from the back room, and an employee decided to walk right next to that customer because she couldn't wait to go to the back area. She should have told the customer she needed to get back there so that the customer could have moved. They need to be much more careful and follow the state mandates.

None of the employees at this branch wear masks. The governor requires all workers in retail establishments to wear masks. They are violating state mandates and knowingly putting the workers and the public at risk. Saddest part - they could care less. I saw a cluster of four of them hanging together. And unmasked workers in the lobby and at a window. You are public servants. Set a better example. Follow the law

We have not received mail since last Saturday. Today is Friday so tomorrow makes an entire week. We had 2 packages that should have been delivered on Wednesday and Thursday from Amazon, but nothing came. Most of the snow has melted off and the roads are passable. They have been clear since yesterday, but all I have seen are 2 mail trucks. One getting gas on River Road and the other hiding in a church parking lot. The carrier rolled by our house yesterday and my husband chased her down to the house directly south of us where she was delivering packages. When asked if our packages were onboard. She said no,but would TRY to deliver by today. Guess what, it is not happening. It appears to be time to think about privatizing the usps.

It's been snowing for days. I'm assuming that's why I haven't received my mail for days. I called the post office located on River Rd. to ask if the mail was running normally and get no answer. What ever happened to the motto that nothing stops the mail? After reading the posted reviews, I realize I'm not the only one with issues concerning River Rd Post Office and its employees. C'mon guys !! If you can't do your job, get out and give the opportunity to someone who can.

no one answers the phone here... and if you go in person to talk to some one you will wait in a long line and may not be the person that can help you if your reason for being there is other than mailing a package or picking one up. frustrating... our neighborhood lock box delivery is less than accurate most of the time...and the delivery people need to be able to read i guess in order to accurately deliver items.

Our mail used to come around 1:00-2:00 PM this was the norm for years. Over time it started coming later and later...it now comes after 8:00 PM! Our mail is getting left in the box all night and will most likely be stolen at some point. It's incompetence! Wages and benefits for government employees continue to go up, while service continues to go down! The way I see it is: Management is made up of the sick lame and lazy, individuals that have no business in leadership positions. They're people that can't do the job and don't get along with the public and since they can't be fired...they're put in management and they take the whole ship down! That's what unions have done and that's why America doesn't work! Private sector (non union) workers do 3x the work at less than half the wages and benefits...that's a fact! I do hope USPS is one day privatized...at the rate it's going...it will be completely ruined in a very short time...take a look at Detroit for a preview of things to come!

What a joke! One snow day and we haven't had a delivery for a week! UPS and FEDEX are all over the place! We have packages way over due that are just sitting in a truck in the parking lot! This is just one more of the hundred reasons I hate the USPS! Our mail, if it comes at all...is late at night...it's getting left in the box because we get tired of going out in the dark waiting for it...So many items have been lost it's insane! It boggles the mind the wage and benefits paid to these people...the management must be to poorest in the country to have these kinds of results...I would be so ashamed to actually accept a pay check for this!...what a bunch of weenies! It used to be, mail carriers were real men and they went out and did their job. This country is so so soft, we better hope we don't ever get into another WWII or we'll be destroyed so fast...we won't won't even know what hit us! No wonder America is fast becoming a third world country...lazy people of low character...being led by the same!
