I want to send a gift to a friend whose address I don't know... Is there a way I can send it to the post office and she could go pick it up?

I just got off the phone with my bank after yet another bill I mailed through the Jefferson OH post office was lost. This is the 3rd bill in as many months. My mortgage payment was the first, my husbands truck payment was the 2nd, and now my car payment! I had to issue a stop payment on the check which I mailed at the post office June 24th. My bill was due July 1st. As of today July 28th it has not surfaced. I had to spend quite a bit of energy making phone calls to remedy the situation. No wonder the post office is going broke! I will be paying more bills on line due to this repeated carelessness.

In January of this year, I was expecting a rather large check to come in the mail. It was sent by the sender and there was proof of that and I never received it. Two weeks later, the sender contacted me and said it was returned to him because my address was not known. That house has been there for 60 years. Your post is no surprise.
