Just moved to Ransomville from Youngstown in August (5 months ago) and updated my address immediately with the post office. I was having issues with mail being delivered. They tell me there’s a “substitute mail person” and have me fill out a piece of paper with names of the people who will receive mail at my address and leave it in the mailbox. The piece of paper was never taken, for 5 months. Now in the last 2 weeks, I have had 10+ calls that mail has been returned to the sender that my address is “vacant.” I had no idea. So I call the post office and the woman asks “have you been checking your mail everyday?” I reply with “yes I will have 0-1 pieces of mail for 3-4 straight days and the following day my mail box will be jammed full and repeat the same cycle.” She says “sorry we have had a substitute mail person and also you’ve had mail here for 10+ days.” I respond with, “weird because the paper you had me leave in the mail box with the name of the recipients is still in my mailbox 5 months later, and that’s the excuse you gave me 5 months ago.” She had an attitude and was very unpleasant. The people in the office and the mail delivery workers here are LAZY!! Obviously my address isn’t vacant if you see I’ve been grabbing my mail every day!!!the piece of paper with the recipients was taken THE NEXT DAY. Guess who just got a 2nd call from their kids school today, that their report card was returned vacant for a 2nd time???!! Half tempted to leave a note inside my mailbox door saying “address not vacant MORON”
