The Middletown post office has gone severely down hill, in the last few years. Don’t waste your time trying to call, phone usually off hook. Civil service tests are extinct, I believe- that’s why they had signs on building-they hire anyone-and these people don’t work when it rains, snows, windy etc. I filed a formal complaint, when after my mail was delivered, the carrier didn’t feel like delivering-so he left in a bundle 55 pieces of mail that belonged to people in surrounding area & goshen, I complained, there were checks amongst it-no one cared! I have a complaint number that went no where. Last year routes were changed & your established carriers all got the worst end of deal-so much for seniority.

I got a msg that an attempt to deliver mail today 8/30/2023 was not able to be delivered because of “an issue” at 4:13. I have cameras covering the front of my house and the driveway from the road to the house. NO SUCH DELIVERY WAS ATTEMPTED! The mail person never came down our road or delivered any mail. No wonder the post office looses millions of $ each year. Abolish the Post Office … UPS and FedEx, etc. are a million times better!

It was such a pleasure going into the post office especially when Jane is the clerk. She is pleasant always smiling and extremely helpful no matter how busy they are. I’ve recommended my friends to go see her for passports and they raved about her and thanked me.

This is the worse Post Office in the history of USPS. Our mail carrier has broken our mailbox, throw packages onto my porch, driven on my lawn and constantly delivers everyone's mail on our road to the wrong address. Now I have a package of live plants that they took back and won't deliver until my address is verified. I have been trying to call for 2 days and no one picks up the phone.

We had a package delivered to the wrong address by the carrier. The proper information was on the package and I would think that the regular parcel post person should be familiar enough with his route to allay such things. Fortunately my neighbor let me know it was there. Can you please remind your people that we would appreciate their service more if these miscues did not happen so often?

We have not had mail delivery for 3 days now!!! The last mail we received was Tuesday, July 13th. Our regular mail person, Al is on vacation this week and no one delivered or picked up our mail Wednesday - July 14th, Thursday - July 15th or Friday - July 16th. This is unacceptable.

Went today to this post office, I was there at 8:30 am as it say on the doors the office will be open, the open the doors at 8:55 AM and a lot of people were on line and complaint. When the person there opened the door he say he was alone and we have to wait for him to log in his computer. Not the most ideal customer service and answer, in the middle time we can heard the employees talking and laughing in the back. This was a terrible experience. Will send our packages using a different source. This happened o 09/04/2020

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Priority Mail package is lost - Travis "assured" me that he would look into it and call me back - that was a week ago. I've called and called but either he is out sick or just plain not there. Kevin put me on hold yesterday for over 20 minutes. Came back on the line once to say he was starting up his computer then never came back. It must be nice to have a government job that doesn't hold you accountable for anything. Called back later in the day yesterday and got someone else who said "it's probably going to come back to you at some point in a few weeks" - what kind of answer is that??? Wouldn't even give me instructions on how to file a lost item claim. Called again today and neither Kevin or Travis are in the building. It's almost worth paying extra to UPS or FedEx not to have to deal with these people.

I have had problems since August 2019 with mail specifically with money orders that were sent from Middletown to an in town address. 4 miles from here. 3 out of 4 months the money orders were picked up and not delivered!! Not returned and Its causing huge problems ...i need to file complaint. I have to have it delivered personally and I can't get around.

They are the worst when it comes to delivering mail to rural mail boxes. They deliver to the wrong address and then send it back to the sender without confirming if the address is correct or not. There is no way of knowing the approximate time they are delivering. One day you get mail at 1:00 pm the next it might be 5:00 pm . If you don't live near the mail box they just dump packages next to the mail box. I've had fruit trees crammed in my mail box to the point they were too damaged to plant.

Today is 3/23/19. Middletown, NY Post office is not doing their job. No mail has been delivered for 3 days. We have security cameras on our front door and driveway. NO USPS truck has been on our street. Spoke with neighbors, no mail for them either. My son is waiting on diabetes supplies, this is insane. ANSWER your phone, stop leaving it off the hook!!!!!!

Why am I on hold over 20 mins with the 40 Fulton St, Middletown NY office just to get a money order fee amount? Very unprofessional and unacceptable. You guys have to do better. I called Chester, NY post office and my question was answered within a minute.

The Middletown branch of the US Postal Service is staffed by some of the very most incompetent government employees I have ever had the displeasure of depending upon. It is beyond me how many of these people, INCLUDING SUPERVISORS can walk and chew gum at the same time. After moving into a new home two months ago and following all protocol regarding my change of address, I am still (after complaining to supervisor after supervisor) not receiving my mail. My frustration level is at an all time high with this branch of the USPS and I only hope that someone in authority would REALLY observe the lackluster and inferior level of etiquette and professionalism that seems to be mainstream there and respond accordingly.

I would like to share my utter frustration with my local postal office. For the past 4 years I have been putting a hold on my mail when I go on vacation. It has never failed that during a 2 week hold period my mail is delivered to my house. Mail is now in plain view, alerting any and all passing by that no one is home! I am fortunate enough to have a concerned friend who checks every few days for that exact reason. But what even bothers me more is when I call and speak to a supervisor 99% of the time they blame someone else, namely the carrier. I have found that if I leave the notice with the carrier all goes well unless they too are off or away. So now the blame goes to the subbing carrier! How about the Supervisor accepting responsibility and making sure that the problem is corrected!! I document every encounter, so I guess now I'll have to move up the chain of command! Signed: I've give up, a friend is more reliable!
