This has got to be the worse Post Office in the state of New Jersey, if not the entire United States. In the past four months I have had packages and "CERTIFIED MAIL" lost by this post office. On March 6th I received an orange slip telling me to pick on certified mail on March 7th. I went to the PO on March 7th and was told my certified letter was not there, it was sent to Kearny. If I live in Rahway and my "CERTIFIED MAIL" was sent to my Rahway address, why was it sent to Kearny????????????? I was told it would be returned on the next day. Today is March 16th and I have yet to receive my "CERTIFIED MAIL". Every time I go to the PO, I get a different story.
We just moved 2 years ago and now I am regretting moving to Rahway, the post office services is horrible. They do not come pick up our packages (something we are paying every month for). We called the manager and he claims our mail person is a really nice lady, which doesn't have anything to do with doing her job. We have to take the time to go to the post office to drop off packages. This is very shameful, they don't even take the time to ring our door bell when we have certified mail or a package that needs a signature they just put the pink slip in our mailbox. My husband went to there this morning to get his package and they can't find it..WHAT we just got the slip yesterday!!!! WHERE IS OUR PACKAGE? I am going to corporate because this is months and months of the same story!!!!!
Did you get any help about this? I've been having a lot of trouble with them as well.

Not really we talked to the post lady directly and she now ring bell if we not home they put pink slip. That's all I had asked. We did have another issue when my husband went to the post office he was racially discriminated against by one of the post man behind the desk. Heard he since been fired but not because of what happened. Other than that haven't had an issue since.

horrible service, i havent been receiving mail for almost a month, after complaining to the supervisor my mailbox was suddenly stuffed with old mail.. this was a month ago.. it's been 3 weeks now again without receiving any mail and i'm waiting for important documents!!! when packages do come, there is no notes in the mailbox to pick up at the post office..
Postal delivery people have got to stop taking shortcuts and crossing lawns on joanna place, colonia, in the snow. Why do I bother shoveling the path walkway if they won't bother using it.I have lawn ornaments buried unders snow and they completely disregard them and have broken some of them by doing this.I have complained in person to the Rahway postmaster, only to be told by the postmaster to put up signage on my lawn saying do not walk on lawn. I should not have to do that. That is why we have laws on the books to shovel our walkways after each storm. Someone WILL get hurt and I will fight it having notified and documenteditseveral times with no remediation.I have taken pictures after each snow storm to show their tracks from the neighbors mailbox, to my mailbox,to my other neighbors mailbox.....all across three snow laden lawns.Please cease and desist.Btw I waited 25 minutes online at their 800 number to report this againt to theRahway Postmaster, all I got was a threaded promotional message...no postmaster. So much for customer service.
LOVE Chuck! He's always gone above and beyond to help me. When I'm only going to my box, I still in to say hello to Chuck, Tony, Rochet and 'Rene' when I'm there. Love the front office staff!!!

The customer service cashier "Chuck" at this post office is horrible. The employees are not engaged in their job of providing great customer service and are argumentative and rude to senior citizens and patrons. Lack of effective communication skills, being short, cutting you off, walking away when asked a question, and not knowledgeable about passports and he was unwilling to share the information when asked. The woman supervisor is more like an employee at a local McDonald"s and lets the employees have it their way with no regards of how they service people. She actually agrees with employees bad customer service and misconduct and argues with customers when there was a complaint, when there where other patrons waiting to be serviced. Training and upper management observations and customer reviews inside post office when making a transaction are badly needed at this site. Especially in today's technological society when there are multiple streams and businesses that can be utilized other than the postal service.
