Staff is very rude there. We went this Saturday to do our passport & they apparently “closed” it. They kept us waiting in line for hours even after we kept asking how much longer & they kept saying “just keep waiting on the line”. After about 2 hours one of the staff workers came out & told us that it was simply “closed” with no explanatio. Very unprofessional. I didn’t work today in order to do my passport & this is what I get.

Paid for Priority Shipping to New Jersey (9 hours from my home). Package made it to Kearny Distribution Center overnight--and there it stayed for an entire week. Package was ruined. Paid for 2-3 day service and it took 7 days. Kearny Distribution Center is THE WORST.

The postmaster in Kearny should be thrown into prison. Dozens of my packages have gone astray once they hit Kearny. I was sent a package from a Jersey location to my address in Jersey and it arrived 2 weeks late. The morons in Kearney sent it to KANSAS! This S.O.B.should be sued, have everything he owns taken from him and then throw his corrupt rump into prison.

Where is my package? I have requested many updates since Sept 3 and nothing. [number removed]800. I paid about $40 dollars for this item and now I am out the money. If notification had been sent to me that it was destroyed, instead of telling me my item will be shipped at a later date, (which never happened) I would have been able to collect a refund.

I had an express mail package sent from Suffern, NY last Tuesday, September 7th, and it apparently has been sitting in the Kearny Post Office for three days and hasn't been shipped out to its destination in Spring Lake, NJ. I have tried repeatedly to contact you by phone with no success....no one answers. Please contact [number removed] to advise as to its status. I truly regret the damage and injuries you suffered over a week ago from the storms, but would appreciate knowing if and when my package will reach its destination as it contains needed info for my business operations. I had ebay packages sent out to me from PA to FL PRIORITY MAIL on Dec 14. It is now Dec 29 and my packages have not moved since arriving at this facility. Absolutely rediculous!! Unacceptable covid or no covid . I paid for priority and expect to get what I paid for!!

Worst USPS facility ever- USPS PRIORITY packages have been sitting for over 15 days at this facility with no delivery attempts made, no updates, no package movement. My company has sent hundreds of packages and this is the ONLY location that cannot seem to do their job - get the mail delivered according to USPS shipping services paid for. USPS GENERAL Post Master needs to get involved and fix this facility.

Guys & Gals, the buck stops at the postmaster running the facility. If things are not getting done, the they should lose their position. This is what happens outside government jobs. However, this is a government position and that simply doesn't happen. You could be the laziest worker in the country and they can't/won't get rid of you. I was hopeful of getting a package by Christmas but when I tracked the package to this facility, I just resigned myself that it isn't going to happen any time soon. Frustrating, absolutely but don't let it spoil you holiday. Enjoy and be happy that you still around to enjoy what you do have. Happy Holliday's to All.

I send a package December 4rd from kearny it took 4 days to get to Jersey City on Dec 8th...it has been there ever since it is now Dec. 14th. there's no phone that I could call to find out what is going on. There's only 2 people taking care of customers the line goes out to the street, everyone is packing inside of the lobby which they post on the wall to be 6 ft apart (no such thing) where's the management??? unbelievable

Hi guys. Hopefully this will help anyone who has a package stuck at this location. The number to call this office directly is 201-991-5629. If the Post Master there can't help resolve your issue, try calling USPS customer Service at 1-800-275-8777 and lodge a complaint. Always have your tracking number ready when calling for faster service. Hope this helps. 😉

If it says preshipment info your issue is with Forever 21, not the USPS, because it means they haven't shipped it out yet, they being Forever 21. They can get a tracking # without sending it out and they do it all the time.

I currently have a package being sent and I contacted the post office and have never delt with such a rude phone call and was hung up on. I am trying to track down a package sent to me and well like the reviews say it get to KEARNY NJ and will never go any further. Tracking package number is 9410810899637035090842. To be stuck in one place for 10 days with no answer or the ability to get in touch with anyone is a big reason the usps is failing. Customer service is non existent it appears. Pretty sure I will not get a reply back but I’m willing to try and see what happens. It appears the problem is know about this location but no one does anything to fix the issues.

I was told to contact three different places to resolve my mailing issue yet they were all false numbers I was given by employees at the Kearny post office locations. The post office is the worst between Orlando and New Jersey my express mail packages I’m on the sixth one now that didn’t make it to the destination that day the next day sometimes the day after that this is horrible way to use them for business. What’s more annoying is that there’s nobody to talk to so I have to leave the customer hanging not knowing where the stuff is. No one management official has gotten back to me!!!

I've been tracking my package and see that it has arrived at this location 4 days ago and is still waiting to be scanned in. For God sake, is anybody working down there this week? It was only shipped 60 miles from my house and it's still 60 miles away. I would have made arrangements to pick it up if I knew it would just be sitting somewhere.

I placed a bag of food as requested by the post office to donate on saturday, May 11th. by my mailbox early this morning (5/11). it is now after 5 p.m. and the bag is still there. So I ordered something on April 3rd this postal office received it April 4th and it's now April 13th and ITS BEEN IN PRESHIPMENT FOR TO LONG, i want my package and it was supposed to be for my birthday. Someone needs to do something about this post office. I am a business owner and my business depends on the post office delivering my products to my customers. I shipped an order on Nov. 18th. the tracking says that it went out for delivery to it's destination on the 20th. It is now Dec. 5th and I have been trying for 5 days now to contact someone to find out where the package is. Nobody answers the phone their and the message machine says that the mailbox is full. I am close enough that I can hand deliver another package to my customer but where the hell is the original package. I have googled this location and found that this is a common event at this location. This is very concerning to me as I am a business that depends on mail delivery and Kearny is considered a main hub. Something needs to be done!

I called yesterday to let them know that my package should have been sent to Kearney, Nebraska instead of Kearny, NJ. The guy I spoke with on the phone did not even let me explain my situation, was very rude, and told me that my package was in route to Nebraska. Did not even look for my package or anything. Found out today that my package could not be delivered do to an 'Insufficient Address' which I tried to tell this guy. Very disappointed and upset with this service. Also, I tried calling the number provided for this post office and it goes straight to a busy signal.

I ordered a textbook from someone located near this post office the end of feb. The package arrived at this located on the 4th of March and the shipping information stated I would recieve my item by the 6th. I live in MS. It is still listed as located at this post office. I am very upset that the item has not moved in three days, as I needed that book for my current class. I had to contact the shipper to inform them that I will be ordering from someone else. I will think twice before ordering anything listed with a NJ address.

There has to be some legal recourse i (or anyone else with a similar issue) can take. Paying for express delivery and having to wait a week and a half hen the package has made it from California to NJ in 2 days... it's entirely unacceptable. This place has got to be the biggest joke going. Packages arrive at this dump and sit there for two or three weeks before they actually leave, if they actually leave. I cringe every time I see a package traveling through this joke of a post office. It's no wonder that USPS is going out of business. If this place is indicative of how the USPS services are run nation wide, then they will soon pass into history. It's a shame people will forget the long standing success of the USPS of the past and will remember places like this garbage dump. I am not sure who is in charge here, but USPS needs to re-evaluate their pecking order ASAP and put someone in there with some brains.

I totally agree with Grace..a month ago. I have constant problems with this Kearny facility receiving packages.. Packages leave this hub and come back to the hub and leave again. I will give it a one third star because every once in a while, they do get it right. Just a horrible facility. Maybe the employees need more training. You pay the merchant for the order, they do their part in shipping it out, BUT once it reach Kearny, NJ you are pretty much screwed. You are on a wing and a prayer that someone will get it right.

If I could give a 'lesser than' star, I would have. This facility does not deserve any stars. I should have received my package on 12/6/13, and as of this date (12/9/13) and time (6:50 PM) I still have not rec'd it. I purchased the item on 12/2/13. It shipped on 12/3/13. It took 2 days to go from Springfield, Missouri (12/3/13) to Kearny, NJ.(12/5/13). I live 50 miles from Kearny. Why is it taking so long to travel this short distance? I pray to God they didn't lose it. I need this i... view moretem in order to finish my Christmas cards. This facility should be dismantled and/or restructured. It is a disgrace to the USPS and the Fed'l Gov't. They knew it's the holiday season and they should have an appropriate number of staff to handle the increased influx of letters, cards and packages. This is not a free service; we pay for it. The cost continually increases and the service seems to get continually worse. There is just no excuse for the poor way this facility is operated. Very frustrated and unhappy.
