45 minutes calling the Howell Post Office and no one picks up the phone. You can tell this is Government run since "Customer Service" is not in their vocabulary.

Hands down the worst post office in existence. My business is 100% run online and at home as I’m a single mom of 4 with medical conditions. Any packages that arrive from other services such as amazon, ups, fed ex and so on are amazing. A solid 90% of usps mail is useless and destroyed. I have lost thousands of dollars because of the horrendous shape my mail gets here. I actually had someone return an item to me (she ordered the wrong size) and she said the box was in perfect condition upon arrival. But when howell got their hands on it to deliver it back to me it was crushed! I’ve had multiple boxes go missing! I have hundreds of dollars of product just missing! I file cases and nothing happens. I had someone who sent me mail start paying extra for ups just because of the horrible experience usps provides. I personally see them throwing boxes marked fragile around like it’s trash. They should get different jobs if they don’t want to work here and stop ruining other people’s lives.

I live in an apartment complex with multiple mail boxes numbered for each building. Today I found a package that I was expecting sitting on top of mailbox 7 (out in the open). I live in building 4. Why was the package not put in my mailbox or dropped at the front door? We have been getting horrible mail service & some of your carriers are rude. You need to do better.

The level of incompetence at this facility is mind boggling. Had 2 credit cards declined because my statements were returned to the CC company marked "incorrect address". I've been at the same address in Howell for over 20 years. Makes me wonder what other mail these screw-ups have not delivered. They don't anser the phone and if you go in person the Postmaster or supervisor or what ever the hell he is called just hides in his office like a coward and refuses to speak to customers.

Horrendous service all around both by management clerks and carriers. This place should be ashamed at the quality service they provide. Answer a phone while our at it.

No one answers the phone ever. Has anyone tried the fax number? I have a shipment of live plants that on the tracking states has been "out for delivery" now for 3 days. These hopefully still live plants are rare. I cannot go to the post office as I am on "shelter in place" orders from my doctor since I have health issues. I watch the post person come through and nothing. Any suggestions as to these poor service issues?

Linda, the ugly and old blonde lady clerk, is incredibly rude for no reason other than has she nothing better to do because she is unhappy with herself. Linda is so miserable being at her job that she wants others to be miserable too. Yes, we know Linda, you hate your life. You don't have to take out your misery on others because all you amounted to was being a lowly post office worker in the loser town of Howell, New Jersey for 30 years.

This is in response to the message left by Anne E. It is one thing to leave a review regarding your dissatisfaction with the service you received, it is quite another when you call the postal worker vile names. I would like to know where you got your doctorate in Psychology since you think you're qualified to diagnose someone. For two years Linda has worked at the counter by herself. The postal service has refused to hire additional help even though numerous post offices in our area (i.e. Jackson, Brick, Neptune etc) have at least two people working at the counter. I don't like standing in line but that's not Linda's fault. That "lowly post office worker" is an essential worker and risks Covid-19 every day that she works. Since you were at the Howell post office, I assume you also live in the "loser town". I can assure you that no one is keeping you here. Verbally assaulting someone anonymously while hiding behind a computer makes you a coward. In closing, Linda put her son through medical school while standing on her feet for eight hours and dealing with difficult customers. What have you achieved?

I have personally seen Linda say vile and nasty things to people and to others about their physical appearance. 2 months ago, I saw her making fun of somebody's appearance and she made the whole line laugh with her. I don't know what Linda did to Anne but If Linda doesn't want somebody to say vile things about her ,then she shouldn't be using her position as a gatekeeper of the post office to say nasty and vile things to customers who respectfully spoke to her I've seen her do this myself and Linda has a reputation in Howell for being nasty and mean Linda using her position to say rude things especially about people's physical appearance is cowardly as well.

Since they don’t answer the phone, I have to complain here. The line is out the door. It is 11:23 and one of the 2 open clerks, not Linda, but the other one, who I and others complained about in the past to the “survey” closes down and walks to the back. The office opens at 10. She has been the subject of complaints before but nothing is done. The Postmaster allows this behavior so I blame him/her as well

We have mail not delivered on several occasions. Last months bank statement was not delivered and I had a late charge. The one thing that concerns me most is my credit card had charges I did not purchase on the statement that I did not receive. I tried calling your Howell number but no one picks up the phone. Please look into this. Someone is being careless.

This post office does not answer their phone. We tried for 3 days stright to talk to someone and needed to go to the post office...during the mid of the Pandemic crisis cause we were having a very important problem with our mail being delivered. Something that could easily have been handled over the phone. Seriously...What is the deal with this post office in Howell?

Although this site is very informative, the Howell post office does not answer the phone! Too bad the postal employees don’t see these comments, although from the service we receive I am pretty sure they don’t give a hoot!

Not sure why except maybe thats the service you get with government type jobs that are guaranteed. Howell PO had POOR service B-for there was a covid 19 excuse. I just wish the persons who manage the facility and provide mail svc would put more care into serving the public. They have an important service to provide they shouldn't take it for granted.

Extremely frustrated! First off, who has their mail delivered at 6 p.m. at night? But at least I had been getting it...now, NO MAIL AT ALL SINCE THURSDAY, and it is now Tuesday....PLUS my USPS Informed delivery email said that I was getting mail AND a package, but NO MAIL AND NO PACKAGE....so today, Tuesday, I have been trying to call the Post Office for hours and they do not answer the phone. It even sounds like they pick up and hang up. How are you supposed to get an information if you work 9-5 and aren't able to go in person (and this weekend I have other plans and can't do it Saturday either). What am I supposed to do??? And the Postal Service keeps raising rates with poorer services and they wonder why no one wants to use their services any more.

As usual my package was said to be delivered today at 12:46 pm to my mail box. It was not.( checked it 5 times and looked around my front porch) Is the carrier a liar, did he deliver it to the wrong house? Or just scanned it to pretend it was delivered? To meet a performance deadline. Now I have been calling for the last two hours. This gets old. Please get organized over there. I know there is a pandemic. I know. I get it but it happens to almost every box that I receive that is not from Amazon. All the other deliveries go into a black hole and you have to fight to get a hold of anyone. Then they blame you for not giving them 28 days before I am allowed to complain. Howell Post Office - I am looking at you !!! What will happen it will randomly show up at some point in the future with no explanation.

Usually good service. This time whoever the postman or woman was, stuffed a package into the mailbox bending the contents. The post person used so much force he/she cracked the plastic packaging surrounding the contents. Btw it was a full face 3M respirator with filters used for painting. Thanks lazy waste of space. I can’t even contact them cause they don’t answer their phone.

my face mask package went missing as well. I place a $200 order worth of PPE and its gone. They say the manager signed for it on my behalf and delivered it to my home. This is a complete lie, I've been home for three months, out of work.. someone at the lost office is probably wearing them right now. The sad part is that I opened a investigation case and what I get is that the manager said he delivered it. Why would I lie and want to go through this trouble. I hope whoever is responsible for these thefts within the post office gets caught and serves time.

I left a letter in my mailbox two weeks ago for pick up. It should've arrived at its destination in no longer than 3 days. It STILL hasn't gotten there. Worst thing is- it was a Check for deposit only. I'm afraid it's lost. Without a receipt or tracking number, what do I do?
