If looking to upgrade a temporary U.S Passport to a full one, check with online instructions before taking Dumont branch employees at their word.
After being told by the U.S Embassy in London my upgrade would be free, I was assured by the clerk that I needed to fill out a particular form and pay in excess of 160 dollars in fees. After checking online and verifying that the Embassy had been correct, I called the Dumont branch to inform the clerk of the mistake but was met with belligerence.
