Why does the postmaster in Southern Pines not wear a nametag or uniform. I was stopped by someone who claimed to be the postmaster, how can you tell? . I had no idea it was illegal to take a dog into the post office. He asked me to go outside and said he would bring my package. Several people overheard him and said it was ridiculous, they had seen me come in for months and a everyone remarked on what a well trained dog he was. Needless to say it was most embarrassing.Yet it is legal to carry a concealed weapon in the post office. How ridiculous is that. Perhaps a no dogs allowed would be appropriate.
