I have got to commend Judy at the Canton PO for the awesome help she gave us. We sent Christmas packages but unfortunately put the wrong address. She took the extra effort to intercept the packages and made sure a little boy had a Merry Christmas. Thanks for going above and beyond.

The Canton Post office is run by a bunch of morons. A lot of times they don't pick up the mail, even if the flag is up. What is the use in paying for a government service and not getting the service? Today I just happened to go by my mom's hose and there was her bills, still in the box with the flag still up. MORONS!

You need to start taking better care as to how mail is left in the box!!! Went to take a package out of my box & it was ripped to shreds, along with the clothing item inside the package!!! It may not be your mail but you have a responsibility to make sure our mail, any mail, is properly left in that box & if it won't fit, thrown on the ground is unacceptable, we do have a front porch!!!!! Stop with the stupid crap & laziness or hire workers that actually want their jobs & stop destroying our packages or I'll have my husband confront him next time, just because the mail isn't labeled as yours doesn't mean it isn't important, we also lose money when you damage our packages with the contents inside!!! We try to get refunds & are told to take it up with whoever is leaving the mail, hence no refunds on damaged items. Do your job the right way or get confronted, frankly I'm game for either!!!!!! Sick of this bull!!!!

I am very upset with my new mail carrier. I am a senior citizen who lives alone and has health issue that causes me to not be able to go up steps to get my mail. I have had a doctor letter filed with the post office since 2012 that it would be better if my mail was delivered to my porch and filed a updated letter with the post office as of last week. I live on a budget income from a widow pension and as many of you know this is not a very large income. Because my new mail carrier saw me out in my yard working on my yard so it won’t get overgrown…on one of my good days…..she made the judgement call that I could get my mail at the street. She is young . I am well past 60. Even though canton post master has my doctors letter this young smarty pants youngster is causing me to have to get other people to bring my mail down my steps when I can. I don’t have extra money in my budget to pay for people to do my yard work and certainly don’t have the money to pay a fine to the town of canton if I can’t keep my yard looking appropriate. Thanks canton post office.

I would like to share my most recent experience with the Canton post office. I recently ordered a purse from Amazon for my wife for Mother's Day. I was on the front porch when the mail carrier went by. I saw they had stopped so I walked to the mailbox to get the mail. It was storming so I almost waited for it to stop but I am glad that I did not. The mail carrier was not the normal person, who will put the package at the door or at least under the awning. No this woman had decided that she did not want to get wet by getting out of the Jeep, and could not even be bothered to let me know what she had done. When I got to the mailbox the package was laying on the edge of the muddy road in the rain. What would make anyone decide that this was a good idea? Why could she not get out of the Jeep and bring the package to the house, or blow the horn I would have went and got it. She could see me standing on the porch to the house that she is making a delivery to. If she is determined to be inconsiderate she could have even left the little note saying that I had to come to the post office and pick it up. Even giving her to the benefit of the doubt and saying that she left it on the mailbox and the wind blew it off, this was still beyond lazy. I would like to speak to someone at the post office about this but they seem to have taken their phone off the hook as I have gotten a busy signal every time I have tried to call.

Canton post office has delivered our packages to the wrong address on numerous occasions. They blame us for not having a road sign up, I understand that makes it difficult but I do not see how that justifies them leaving packages on top of our community mailboxes or taking them to a house they THINK might be the right address. If I’m not mistaken they should take the package back to the post office and leave a message on the tracking id that the package is at the post office! We have called to have our sign replaced numerous times all the numbers were give by the post office in canton not one was the correct number!

I I am not very happy with the canton post office due to the fact that they will not deliver any packages to my house. They are aware that the dog outside is very friendly and will not bother them. After a numerous times of talking to them they still will not deliver packages on my porch when instructed to. I feel as if the employees are very lazy and will not do their job or if that the bare minimum. I have tried picking up packages when I receive emails that the package has been received at the facility but they state they cannot get to it because it’s still on the pallet. I have never had such an issue with the Usps until I have moved to canton. At this point I’d much rather drive to waynesville a deal with the lovely people that work at that facility versus the lazy ones at canton nc post office.
