I am still waiting for my mail from November 4, 2022. One piece was a financial document that I really wish had been delivered. Recently, a supplement I take was finally delivered 21 business days after leaving Ohio. 21 BUSINESS DAYS!! Currently, a package that the tracking shows was delivered yesterday 12/8, was not delivered to me. I don't know where it is, and I have no reason to believe I will ever see it.

I am guessing missing packages are still a serious issue in Independence. For the second time I have had a package that was miss routed to the Independence MO location for some reason. Tracking both time shows the item being checked in at the post office and then the USPS facility in Independence MO. Then the status of the items never update again. Never see the packages again and no one seems to know what happened or how to locate the packages. Definitely seems like something fishy is going on in this area of the USPS system that should be investigated.

Today is February 5, 2022. A Saturday. The last day we had mail service was Tuesday, February 1. What the heck! Why have we not had service? My flag and my neighbors outgoing mail flags are still up and out mail could be stolen. Are you going to come by or not. We deserve to know.

I'm tired of not getting my packages. Eather I don't get them, their delivered to the wrong address, found in someone's yard, being delivered to a totally different place. I have tried to call the local post office several times and they don't pick up. This is getting very old & something needs to be done. They need to be trained on how to read address very bad. If they can't do their jobs right then they need to be fired

The mail person who delivers mail here in Sugar Creek- does not know how to read or does not really care where she puts the mail. We find our mail all over this complex. Sometimes we go 3 or 4 days without a delivery - Your worker either does not care what kind of a job she does or plain old can't read--very sad and the postal system says they are going to slow down 1st class mail.

I’m sick of the independence post office off Lexington. I don’t receive packages that say they were delivered. I ordered a 200 dollar pair of shoes and never recieved them, somehow the tracking number got lost or whatever. I’m bout to just have my mail put on hold and I’ll just pick it up at post office. These mail men are thieves!

I agree my wife and I hardly get any of our mail then it comes in bulk late and several times we get other peoples mail and they’ve sent ours to other people or lost it altogether. You pay for shipping and tracking and fir example my stuff was mailed to me Monday a small package tiny tracking said Thursday then it changed to Friday nothing then today and it says out for delivery which is a lie because the post offices are closed because I was going to call up and complain again.

Me either. Like are they incompetent or just pure lazy.?The lady tracked my phone to an address that didn’t sound anything like mine and because the idiot said it was delivered and it was free I’m out of a thousand dollar phone as well as lost packages. I added it up to around 500 I lost because of the postman/woman not including the iPhone. He or she probably stole it. When I go to the post office the black front desk lady gives me the run around . It’s like she is dating that person or something she always takes up for them and convince me basically to stop my complaints with her so as it turns out she acts like she is a supervisor or something and she isn’t anything but a clerk. So I know I can’t file claims now and she did that crap on purpose so time would run out for me to report an issue about packages never making it’s way to me. I went to complain several times. The last guy said he would make her come back and figure out where some of my packages went that were said to be delivered. I wasn’t home more then five minutes and by daughter had I know at least 10 of my packages that she had just gotten from The mail man. No explanation no nothing. Today I check my mail box because five packages were to be delivered instead what I got was mail that should have been delivered ages ago. Each letter on the outside had shoe marks and dirty like she rubbed each envelope in soil as well as a pile of dirt that person put inside my mailbox. I emailed the post master and voiced my concerns. I’m gonna voice them again. Because my mail shouldn’t be halfway ripped open dirty and stained with shoe marks. Like each individual piece of mail was tampered with. They all should be fired except for a few of course. I honestly believe the mailman left my packages on the truck on purpose. I’m gonna keep on complaining until something for sure gets done

Now for my main question! Is it right/legal for someone who works for the post-office to throw their weight around in such a manner? This lady (story below) showed no remorse about her child driving on the streets under-aged, only a sign of “I work for the post-office and you can’t talk to my family member like that.” It’s people like her that cause others to show resentment of their “puffy-chested” attitude and their “I am better than you” words! My son (51rys old) noticed a 4 wheeler in next door duplex being driven by children (10-14) (9:00 PM ish). Twice he called the police and they said they could never catch the kids out. He followed it once to the next street, but lost it. Last night he walked over to the neighbors & calmly told the kids it was against the law to drive on street with no license. Shortly afterwards a car pulled up and lady got out, walked up to son’s door and knocked. When my son opened the door her first words were, “I work for the post office and when you bother my family you are doing so against the post office and I can have you charged and arrested.” My son said “Go ahead in-fact I’ll call the police and file a complaint against your grandson driving a 4 wheeler on the street.” At that my son said for her to get off his property. She walked to neighboring yard yelling that he was a pervert and a pedophile over and over, and telling the kids to not go near him because he was a pervert and pedophile. She didn’t stay around for the police. (Because of the location I assume it's the Independence MO branch.)

I never used to have many problems with the postal service, but the Independence branch have lost at least 7 packages of mine in as many months and I am heartily sick of it. Sometimes they show up a few days or weeks later, sometimes not at all. I've never seen such incompetence and I'm pushing 70.

Since moving to Independence I have received other people's mail frequently. I either have to do the Post Office job and deliver the mail to the correct address or place it back in the mail box with a note not delivered to correct address. This poses a security/ID thief risk. This is the worst mail delivery service I've ever had in my 71 years.

I called the USPS 800 # to get a phone number for the office on Noland Road in Independence, MO. I had no luck reaching a human being. The phone number for the Lexington Ave location is online. I called them. They answered promptly, gave me the phone # to the Noland location and apologized because the phone at Noland is rarely answered. They were right, I've been calling the Noland office every 15 minutes for hours and no one answers. The key to our mailbox doesn't work. How am I to get my mail?

Deborah Anderson (Independence Postmaster) On 24 December I ordered some pamphlets for a bookstore in Independence. They were mailed the same day to me in Omaha,NE. I would have expected to receive them in about 3 days. When they had not arrived, I call ed the bookstore and received a tracking number for the package. (9114902307224017316691). I went to the usps website to enter the tracking number and found it was send to Des Moines, IA. then it was sent to Seattle, Wa. Then it returned to Des Monies, IA and then it was routed to Omaha, NE. This whole trip took 2 weeks. The material was requested with plenty of lead time as I didn't need it until after Jan 1. It is Jan 6 and it finally has arrived. I don't know who is in charge of those "idiots" at usps, but a less than 200 mile trip, turned out to be a couple of thousand miles. From now on I will be be shipping UPS. At least I know I will get it on time. Note: What does USPS and a Black Hole have in common? Answer: They both SUCK!!!!!

For the past week or so I have been delivered the wrong mail. Multiple times ive received packages that are labeled important and confidential including pictures, tax docs, letters from the Social Security office and banking statements all belonging to people who live way down the street from me. Not sure if the carrier needs a refresh on how to read addresses or needs to be replaced. The worst service in the world trying to reach someone about this issue. I never get a real person. I guess my neighbors will just have to sue for USPS for sending confidential info to the wrong people all over the neighborhood. I understand everyone makes mistakes. However the same mistake is being made every week. Ill inform my neighbors to start a class action law suit. Thanks for nothing USPS

Yesterday 06.13.19 I was waiting for a package to be delivered at my residence. I have a standard mailbox out in front of my home. I get a tracking update saying my package was delivered and placed in my mailbox at 3:01 PM. I walk outside to my mailbox at 3:10 PM. No mail. No package. I even went over to a neighbor on the street behind us. Our mail is frequently getting delivered to them and we get their mail. They did not receive the package either. This is garbage. Try and contact the office and yeah....good luck with that....lol. I am guessing the postal carrier either scanned it to make it look like it was delivered and kept my package or scanned it to make it look like they delivered it so they could complete their route early. We will see if I get my package today. If not...I will never use the USPS again. So tired of their incompetence.

Mail consistently late all year, we get everyones mail, go for days and have no mail, never get a sale ad or coupons but have watched the mail lady shove them in the mailbox next to mine (where the house burned a over year ago!). If Ms. Socks would stop flirting with every man in town and everyone's husband the mail might be in the correct spot and on time!!!!!!

I came to file a complaint, but it would seem that no one is listening, considering everyone here is saying the same thing. Packages marked as delivered and then getting lost, damaged mail/mail box (due to stuffing it so full the lid wouldn't close but smashed it closed anyway, misdelivered mail, and last but not least, one of them threatened to pepper spray my dog last Xmas season when I was walking him on leash in my yard.. this needs to stop, but I can't seem to find the right channel to relay the info to the proper authorities.

Lousy - our new mail girl stuffs mail in box, leaves it hanging out, does not put lid down, walkers can see full box from street, perfect stealing opportunity, mail gets wet, blows away, is torn, mail not mine, comes late in evening, never at the same time - she is almost running & busy talking on cell phone, her attention is not on the mail delivery - mail box looks like a trash bin vs a mail box - is this what we can expect? Our last mailman was wonderful, guess he retired.

As much as I appreciate the service, I'm not just getting my mail delivered really really late in the eve, but I keep getting the neighbor's mail ... instead of taking it to them myself, I started putting it out for the mailperson to deliver it to the right address! I appreciate those who deliver the mail regardless of the weather, but, what the heck is going on at this post office? It's not the person that delivers the mail, it goes higher to the management!

There apparently is no way to contact any one at the Independence post office and hold times for the USPS call center are in excess of an hour. I have a package that was suppose to be delivered on 10/9/2018. It shows that they tried to deliver is at 6:41pm but it states on line that there was no access for delivery. What the heck does that mean????? My mail box has not moved in over 20 years and there is no way it can be blocked. BUT I can not get ahold of anyone to find out what this means......extremely aggravating!! I have called the local phone number 23 times trying to speak to someone. This package was EXTREMELY important and there is a time crunch on receiving this package. I am leaving town for work and this item was needed for the business trip. Now can someone please inform me as to what I do now or how to actually speak to a live person????? I have continued to have numerous problems with this city's postal service, it my opinion it ranks amongst the worst!! No wonder why channel 9 news did a story on you the same day I was suppose to get my package. I now can honestly say that the people who were complaining to the news media were not a bunch a whiners and have a valid complaint and I now feel their pain.

Me&my roommate Kristina Pisciotta Gragg changed our apt number back in June we moved from apt 102 to 228. At Pleasant Hieghts apts. 210 south Pleasant. Our mail was changed with everything and yet the carrier keeps putting our packages in the apt 102 box. Please tell them to get it right and stop putting it in that persons mailbox. Cause we aren't sure if we're getting all our stuff. Please tell them to pay more attention. Thanks. Ms. Pearce

I don't know how many times a shipment will show out for delivery only to not make it to my box that day or not at all.. and sometimes it shows delivered and it becomes lost... I live in a newer subdivision and they use the group mail boxes. I'm thinking they are putting it in the wrong box and nobody is getting it to me.. and the small slot in the group boxes won't allow them to put it in to be redelivered. And to be a postal supervisor must be the best job in today's world.. supervise incompetent people and never have to answer to the customers for the lazy actions.. It is what it is... very sad indeed!

Tracking shows delivery to mail box, but nothing there. cannot not find if mail has been stolen or just carrier attempting to beat system. Cannot contact local post office supervisor and wait time to USPS call center in excess of 90 minutes. Are the carriers allowed to log the mail as delivered before the actual delivery ?? Why can't the post office supervisor in Independence, Missouri be contacted ?? If wait on line, system rolls back to the start menu with no way of getting out of loop.

I waited all day for the delivery of two very small packages that I had been informed via email would be delivered today. I had been following their progress by the tracking information and it read "Out for delivery" today. No one ever came. My front door was open all day. Now the notation says "Delivery Exception. Animal Interference." That is a lie. My little Pekingese never goes out in the front yard. She also doesn't BITE. I may, however, when this lying mailman finally shows up with my mail. It's clear what happened. He didn't get through all his deliveries, so at 5:00pm he put that notation in the tracking to excuse his incompetence. And I don't appreciate it!!!!!!!!!

Unbelievable go into Harry S Truman post office on 32nd St and the line is long and only one working the window and she's not the friendliest person in the word at all, personally I thought rather rude. Now to the problem, some where along the line my package evidently is some where, here's the story, get any e-mail they couldn't deliver it as no one home, that's wrong we were home all day Sunday waiting for the package, notice said left a slip on the door, not so, also said could pick up at post office, go up there and supposedly she looked for it, not found, she says leave your name and number also address, we need to call the person that delivered that day. Thinking he went to the wrong house on 44th St that has same house address as I do, except I live on 44th Terr. Any way to straighten this mess out? Another thing the mail truck sat in front of our house and then he got out and checked in back of the truck and then got in and finally drove off. Seems to me some thing isn't right here. Thanks for listening, Bev
