A complete joke. Won't delivery mail because of the ice build up around mail boxes however.....able to get out of vehicle and leave all residents a note to "remove ice!" Also won't deliver Amazon packages but Prime will? Ice can not be removed when the city allows the sewer drains to freeze over. Figure this out government. Taxes are steep. Expectations are high.

Chanhassen post office is terrible If we are lucky we get mail delivery 4 days a week - so far this week they have missed Tuesday and Thursday I know staffing is an issue, but that’s been an excuse for tooooooo long!!!!

We just moved to Chanhassen last year and this post office continually does not show up to deliver our mail. Informed Delivery will show we have mail coming but it never shows up. The next day our mail will arrive but we will never receive the mail we were supposed to get the day before. It just gets lost and never shows up. I understand they are understaffed but mail shouldn't just get lost and never show up. We have not received important mail due to this issue and this has happened 2-3 times now often on a Friday or Saturday.

Well it is now coming up on a year since I've worked at that station. Referring to my earlier comment below I would ask if their postmaster is still Jason Croshaw if it is then it sounds like he still doesn't know how to do his own job. I would give out more then just his name but I'm uncertain if this would cause any trouble for me. The staffing shortage at the post office if going on in management and may be inabiling incompetant people to keep their jobs. Last I heard (this would be Novemebr of last year) Jason was screwing up worse then the guy who was the postmaster in April 2018 and that guy actually got replaced.

The reason for the bad service from this station is because of a postmaster called Jason Croshaw. I used to work their until late last July. Jason Croshaw is a fraud who somehow conned people above him into allowing him to be the postmaster of Chanhassen when I doubt he could even have done my old job when I was working their. Basically he has been promoted way beyond his abilities and needs to be replaced.

I don't typically leave reviews but decided to because I did not receive friendly service at the Chanhassen post office. I completely understand that there rushes happen when understaffed, and there's not much the employees can do about that except keep working. I also understand that some people don't have good days, and I want to have grace for that. At the end of the day, no postal issue I have is life or death so it doesn't matter that my problem didn't get addressed in time--but what matters is that the customer service I received was employees who were frustrated at me for calling without even hearing my question. I called at one point to ask a simple question but was put on hold until the call dropped. The second time I called back and was immediately told to call back in an hour because there were many customers in-store. As I said, I completely understand the importance and pressure of in-store urgency, especially when understaffed. However, some people cannot physically come into the store or it is far away but still need to inquire about packages, postal services, etc. before a certain time. After helping a few customers in-store it would be proper customer service to then take someone on the phone. All this to say, I hope that this post office will consider working people on the phone into their line of customers, not giving them top priority but still making them a priority and treating them kindly. Thanks!

This is probably the worst post office I have encountered in my life. Delivery can be between noon and 6 pm or not at all. We have tracked packages that show they are at the Chanhassen post office but take another 3 to 4 days for delivery. Very poor signage when you come up Laredo street and they have these big trees in front so you don't even know the building exists. You have to do everything through the counter they do not have a machine to dispense postage. Very much behind the times. Nice people work at the post office just way behind the times in automation and service.

My postal carrier for Chaska is stationed out of this branch. She has left my package on someone else's door step. It was a computer (PC).She must be half asleep. I have missed more mail from this lady than you would believe?!I love the USPS but she has been the worst mail carrier that I've ever had. When we arrived at the branch to try to find our undelivered mail, she wasn't there, and we were told to call a number to speak to someone else. The only mail that we DID get was the mail we later were able to get RE-SENT from the sender. What a nightmare.Hopkins USPS = GREAT
Eden Prairie USPS = GREAT
Chanhassen USPS = NOT GOOD

I completely agree... This post office is terrible and their hours are REALLY INCONVENIENT. Especially Saturday... 2 hours, for what would probably be the busiest day? Why be open at all?
