Just returned from the Jackson Crossing USPS where I tried to find out the disposition of a certified letter I sent and I offered my picture ID as sender of letter. Response from on duty desk clerk (who processed the letter himself circa two weeks earlier) at just before noon July 28, 2018 was "can't help you without a tracking number," whereupon I grumbled about government snafus, whereupon the clerk, who's fond of mumbling to himself, responded, "I don't take no shit off nobody!" and "get out of here!" as he walked off to the back. This seemed to me highly unprofessional and rude behavior for a fed gov't employee. Perhaps this fellow has some mental disability, but then it might not be prudent to allow him to deal with the general public if such behavior is so easy for him to slip into. I'm a disabled war vet myself (last duty station overseas: 160th Signal Group, 1st Signal Brigade, based in Long Bihn, Republic of Vietnam, ETS Dec 1970, last four numbers of my SS number--8247), but I find this behavior intolerable in any fed gov't employee who's supposed to be serving the public with some modicum of civility. A response to my complaint will be greatly appreciated. Dr James Albert Delater, 1127 Mound Ave, Jackson, MI 49203 email ><
