Today they have 9 people lined up outside and the doors are locked…. It’s 2:30 in the afternoon so I doubt they are closed for lunch!!! Why is this branch so terrible? I left.

The service is awful I tried calling and was hung up on several times without ever getting a chance to speak to anyone you said my package was delivered but that is not true you do this all the time you say it has been delivered when it hasn’t if I’m lucky it will come the next day or several days later

This past few days I have not received any mail. There are two envelopes that were delivered to the wrong address that have been in my mailbox since Saturday. My regular carrier is fantastic whom I haven't seen. What's going on? My mailbox has the bar code which needs to be scanned at the end of the route by the carrier even when there is no mail delivered for that day. I haven't seen a postal truck or carrier. Does this have anything to do with the new postmaster general? Please reply to my concerns.

The tracking said my package would be here by 7:30 last night, I haven’t received it. There is no way to contact anyone at the Ferndale post office and I’m becoming increasingly frustrated. I would blame it on Covid 19 but this is the 3rd time this has happened to me. Ferndale post office sucks.

Postal employee in the post office today (7/6/20 around noon) was completely rude and demeaning. I was trying to ask how I could mail a package first class like I'd done with two other pre-paid packages that I'd also brought. I asked if there was a slip to fill out and she shook her head. Stumped at the brashness of her reply, I then asked, "Okay, so how do I write the address on this." And she said, "You don't know how to write an address?" almost as if I truly was illiterate. I felt so stupid. I will admit, I am illiterate when it comes to mailing out packages- this was my first go at it. I replied that no, I could write it out. She hands me a jumbo sized Sharpie to write on a small 10" X 10" sleeve. Not helpful in this regard. Mortified, I walked out, passing the 6 other people waiting in line. Next time, I will pay for online postage and continue to avoid this beautifully, historic local post office.

On 4/29/2020, I sent a package from the Ferndale Post Office on Woodward Avenue via Priority service, for I paid extra. The box contained frozen meat, packed in dry ice. I have previously shipped several packages the same way, all of which arrived on the due date or one date later and were still cold to touch. My receipt for this shipment indicated that the date of arrival was 05/04/2020, which was a Monday. On Tuesday, 05/05/2020, the package had not arrived. I went to the PO and was advised that they were "behind due to Coranavirus" mail, which delayed their service. I did a GPS search after I left and it indicated that the package was still in Ferndale! On 05/07/20, I went back to the PO and was essentially advised the same thing and advised that "Priority" alone did not guarantee the arrival on any particular date (a different postal worker). On 05/08/20, the package arrived in Pontiac, Michigan distribution center. The package did not arrive at its destination until 05/11/20, with all of the items spoiled. Why the package sat in Ferndale for a week (despite "Priority" shipment) is beyond me. This means that had the package been shipped out when I surrendered it to the postal service, it would have arrived within 3 days. I have never had problems with customer service at this location, but overall service on this particular shipment was extremely poor and no one accepts responsibility. I have no choice but to continue to use the USPS. However, I will from this point on ship EVERYTHING via Priority Express, which costs more but guarantees the arrival date or 100% reimbursement. "Priority," alone just means, "we hope we can get it there by this date with the contents intact, but don't hold us to it."

I had a temporary forward until April. On 2-19-19 I cancelled it & should be receiving mail at my permanent address on Planavon. On the 22nd 2 packages were to be delivered & were not. Try to call Post Office to confirm that the carrier was aware the temporary forward had been cancelled & waited to have phone answered only to have it switch to busy signal after a couple of minutes. Where's the customer service $ where are my packages?

We live on Kensington Ave in Ferndale, and work on Hilton Road in Ferndale MI 48220. Mail to both our home and our work has been missing, not delivered, and we often get the wrong persons mail to both of our addresses. I recently got fined for not seeing mail with an important notice. This is really unprofessional and a unfortunate downside to living in an otherwise wonderful place.

Just want to start by saying I have never experienced such poor mail service, I continue to have problems getting important documents sent by my attorney, some of them come and some don't,I have brought this to my carriers attention, and the only explanation I got was the mail comes from Detroit well that explains a lot,I also told the Ferndale postal office numerous times that only my wife and myself live here and continue to get all my brothers family mail sent here after note after note and call after call, then if you try and call the p.o you never get anyone to pick up a phone....disgusted and hope something improves

First of all, screw you for leaving a passive aggressive notice to shovel our sidewalk. We shoveled it 3+ times during the week of snow we received. There was less than an inch of snow when your pussy employee left us this absurd notice. Second of all, let’s talk about the multiple times your deligerent carriers “couldn’t deliver the package safely” when there was a personalized note on the door to leave it inside the mor-than-secure front porch. My suggestion to you is to train your pathetic employees better before you complain to your salary payers.

Today they were doing a “stamp audit” and didn’t open their windows. I got there at 9:40 am and left at 10am. There was a lobby full of people that needed service.

Package delivery!!! I was notified that my package was delivered to my box. NOT THERE. No key for parcel drop box. Your phone line is impossible to get through! Ferndale phone is answered with a closed message yet the website says you are open two more hours!

Talk about poor customer service. A package was supposed to have been delivered to my address on Dec 19th. by 8pm. Tracking shows delivered at 8:27pm. No package delivered. The USPS truck never even showed up. Said left in mail box. A box 60" long would not fit in a mailbox. Good luck getting anyone on the phone. Sat on hold for 20 minutes only to be disconnected. Called back and wait time was over an hour. Waited a couple days. Package still did not get delivered. Good thing this was a Christmas present to myself and not a family memeber.

Waited hours for a package to arrive and it never showed up. Never even received my mail for the day. Then I received a notification stating that stated that someone "attempted a delivery" but no one was home. I was sitting in the front room with the door wide open at the supposed time of attempted delivery. No slip was left and no other mail was dropped off. Obviously this person just skipped out on part of their route and lied about attempting a delivery. Unbelievable behavior from a USPS driver. Unacceptable service from the USPS. Never having anything shipped from USPS again, Ferndale USPS is a joke.

They never answer their phones, and actually have their phones automatically disconnect to a busy signal after about two minutes. If you try and send an email complaint or report a problem, the email will "not submit" and asks you to return later and fill it out again. Quite the scam!

Went to ferndale post office today to buy stamps. There was no line but the clerk was busy with one customer who hed a problem. After a few minutes a male clerk came to the window and looked at me, never saying a word. I went to the window and said I wanted to buy stamps, still not saying a word he looked down at some stamps in front of him and I said give me the elvis one's.he mumbled something, I guess the price, I passed him 20 dollars and he passed me my change and stamps. Never a greeting or thank you
I can't believe you don't have a stamp machine and the post office is nasty looking and out of date, not the ferndale outside the doors
I'll drive to Royal oak from now on

Very poor customer service over the phone. Do not answer phone calls. Parking is not free on Woodward, the lot is off of Troy behind Anita's Kitchen and the post office building.
