It is Saturday at 2:44 pm. The posted hours on the website shows open until 5:00 pm. Kind of early to shut down your phone lines, isn't it?

The Canton Post office is the WORST Post Office I have ever dealt with. The incompetence is unbelievable. They cannot mail a simple letter to its destination in a timely manner. I have read Nothing but complaints of Lost or Stolen Mail, Fraud and other major concerns. This Place needs an Audit and the person or Persons in charge need to be removed. It is a disgrace to our Community!

Safety Issue! Recently the two postal mailboxes in the Canton Post Office parking lot were removed and replaced with a single mailbox. The purpose for a curbside drive up mailbox is the convenience to drop off your letters without having to exit your vehicle. This single mailbox is set back too far from the curb and now requires everyone to exit their vehicle creating a safety issue for themselves and others. I believe the post office officials have failed to realize there are individuals with physical limitations who cannot exit their vehicle easily. This is a liability for the post office and will become more hazardous during the winter months with snow and ice present. If anything this change has created a safety hazard for everyone and it slows down the purpose of the curbside letter mailbox. There is already a mailbox inside the post office if anyone wanted to get out of our vehicle. I pray someone in the post office reads this and makes the necessary changes. Thank you

They reported my package to be delivered when I have video evidence of that not being the case, I made the report more than 24 hours ago and still no response. Who would've thought theft is legal

Worst place ever. If you enjoy long lines and staff moving slower the molasses and attitude, then this place is for you. When visiting this location, the very moment you cross the threshold into the world of USPS Canton, everything becomes super slow motion as you watch the staff at this location work at a pace of negative zero miles per hour. If that doesn’t impress you, there’s more! As you begin to adjust to the affects of living snail speed, you then realize that your existence is nothing more than an inconvenience as you present your prepared to the clerk. If you’re lucky, you are permitted to pass go but don’t expect to collect $100. The unlucky ones are told they can’t pass go and sent home to ponder their choices without any explanation as to what they done wrong. The really unlucky visitors will experience this more than once in a single day. Best way to describe this is that It’s like staying purgatory. To summarize what an adventure to the canton post office would be like, take a hammer and hit yourself in the face. I guarantee you’ll have more fun doing that than visiting this s&$thole.

I noticed above that these comments are not read by postal employees. Perhaps the Postmaster could read these for some tips on possible improvement areas. Today I found a neighbor's first class mail (bill) in the slush by stand of 4 mailboxes. Last week or so, we found first class mail from neighbor 100 yds up the street in my yard. Very scary..... Confidence in USPS is fading..... Many of the notes below are also alarming. Can I suggest someone bug our congress person to have a chat with Postmaster General?

The mail carrier who delivers to 2000 N. Haggerty Canton Mi 48187 is unprofessional, rude, and doesn't provide proper customer service. She throws mail at me, doesn't wait for return to sender packages, and tries to run out doing the absolute minimum. She needs to be disciplined and written up for her horrid service.

The postal carrier drives right through the parking lot with mail and refuses to put the mail in the multi-tenant pedestal mail box, because they don't like where the box is. the mailbox is accessible & insect free 42605 Joy rd. Canton Mi. 48187

2020 marked a new low for service for the U S Postal Service. we were still receiving Christmas cards up until January 6th. Some Christmas cards took up to 3 weeks to be delivered from Livonia and from within Canton. One of my credit card bills wasn't received until the day before payment was due.

What is going on? I've been in to the post office after hours to drop packages with pre-paid labels off 3 times in the last 7 days and the package drop off bin won't open. I think it is locked. I'm still driving around with my packages! I would rather not risk getting Covid by waiting in a busy post office for someone to take a package during a pandemic. The least you could do is post a note that you're not taking packages after hours, or explain what's going on.

Submitted a change of address a month ago, received mail at new address for a few days and now it’s all going to the old address. Had to call customer service three times now. Was given the number to the Canton office to call if I had issues, and all I get is a recording that it’s closed. Not very good service as far as I’m concerned.

I appreciate everyone posting their problems; now I know that I am not the only one. I only receive mail sporadically, and then not all of it -- even notices of Certified Mail! I only know this because I'm missing my Wall Street Journal (mailed), so I can tell precisely which days are missed. But that doesn't mean the postal worker actually delivers my mail from missed days. Is there a new carrier that needs training? Mail volume is down with COVID19 so what's the problem?

Where in God’s name is our mail? We are only getting mail every other day and that’s not much at all. It shows up on “ INformed Delivery” Every day but does not get delivered. We have a GREAT carrier and she is a sub contractor. It sure can’t be her fault.

I know we're in difficult times but it seems funny that I can order merchandise from out of state and it's on my porch the next day via UPS but product shipped through our illustrious US Postal Service takes over a week. The tracking number shows it's been sitting in Detroit for 3 days now...ridiculous. And yes, I've experienced this many times before this pandemic.

I’ve had numerous occasions when my mail and packages have gone somewhere else. I’m currently waiting on a priority package sitting in Allen Park for four days. It was shipped from Chicago five days ago. Canton sent them an email to get things moving but to no avail. Allen Park really needs better management.

I am really displeased with the service from our mail carrier. I get mail belonging to other addresses almost weekly. A piece of mail I've been waiting for was delivered to the wrong address and returned to the sender meaning I have to wait extra long for it to be delivered again and hope that it actually gets into my mailbox. Please take more time to pay attention.

When I was a young boy the post man was very reliable and friendly we never missed a letter our mail was never wet. Currently our delivery person has dug a ditch in front of our mailbox by spinning the tires of his mail truck. We get our neighbors mail all the time. We haven’t received our mail in over a week and a half. The Canton Postal Service is got to be the worst Postal Service in the country. Just the worst service. We never have the same post person. It’s always someone different now we have some lady delivering mail in a beat up old minivan. Unbelievable

I am the property manager of an apt community and we have had a substitute carrier while Iris is on vacation. I've had numerous calls about the letters being delivered to incorrect addresses. I stopped to tell the carrier to please be more watchful and she gave me a dirty look and stated the pkg in my hand was not USPS and walked away. Never even let me finish.

Thursday, January 18, 2018 - Where is my magazine (which I usually receive on Saturday, Monday at the latest). Have you seen my year-end financial statements from the mutual-fund company? Monday was Martin Luther King day. No mail, fine. But what about Tuesday and Wednesday? The Canton Post Office has a business office that you can call (734-844-0590), but you are put on hold and then someone hangs up and you get the busy signal. (I called six times this morning, at 9:02, 9:05, 9:18, 9:20, 9:22, 9:24 -- same thing every time). Across the street, my neighbor's mail box has its flag up; it was like that both Tuesday and Wednesday. Isn't the letter carrier supposed to pick up the mail, in addition to delivering it? Apart from that, there is also the occasional problem of misdelivered mail, i.e. you sometimes get mail that is not addressed to you, and that makes you wonder if you really get all of your own mail. Can't the USPS just do their job right, and do it on time?

Today 1-16-18 during business hours - I have been trying to reach my local post office by phone of which no one picks up and then disconnects me - so i decided to call the 800 number and have been on hold for 1 and 1/2 now. Reason for my call is this last Sunday I came into our local post office to buy stamps. I ordered 20, yet the machine only gave me 10 but it did charge me for 20 of which reflects on my receipt. I checked the slot and all around the machine to see if the other sheet was stuck or had fallen on the floor, and found nothing. So here I sit wasting my time on hold! Government employees how disheartening they are when ever needed help! If my company allowed a customer to sit on hold for this long people would be fired! I guess they are leaving me no choice but to dispute it on my credit card. Thanks for nothing USPS!

We are at Geddess & Beck and have not received mail at all today and several times last week. My son had supplies for his diabetes delivered to our home and it's anyone's guess when they will come. We are very dependent on the USPS timely delivery. What am I supposed to do? Move to a place with better postal service? or what. Please have compassion on us in this neighborhood at Geddes & Beck and get a new carrier or something.

Is there a problem with mail delivery ? The Villas at Maple Creek (Beck & Geddes) no longer receive mail on a daily basis ! The Villas is an over 55 community. People are dependent on social security checks and other financial annuities on a timely basis.

I agree with the others about receiving late mail. I have consistently over the years received mail such a monthly magazines sometimes a month behind. Just last week, 11/7/2017 I refilled my prescription. This is typically in my mailbox in three days. It's been a week and no prescription. I called the prescription company; they shipped out on 11/9. If you are reading this Canton USPS, get your shit together or find another job. Your service sucks.

Very, very disappointed with our mail carrier. We have complained about him quite a few times. Very abrupt and quite rude to us. I should have received two packages from two different places. They should have been delivered within the last two weeks. We have seen nothing yet. Don't know if he just doesn't want to deliver them of if he threw them away so he didn't have to bother walking them to the house. Very frustrated and not very happy.

My package has been at SOMEONE ELSE'S house for days and the stupid ass representatives are extremely nonchalant about THEIR mistake. The "carrier supervisor" is absolutely NO help and dragging her feet with the situation. And her manager apparently isn't there and comes in whenever she chooses to. If you have the option, do avoid this trash ass location.

Have to love when the Canton Post Office is too lazy to make sure their subs are delivering the mail! Have not received any mail all week and the supervisor says it's because there is construction on the road. You uneducated supervisor!!!!! The construction has been going on for over 3 weeks and this is the first week nothing has been delivered! Glad to see my tax dollars are being used to pay people that aren't doing their job!

I've have always experienced good customer service from this facility. However, after my visit yesterday evening I won't be returning, if at all possible. I walked to the counter with a question, before I could ask the question the clerk scolded me as if I was his child and told me I couldn't come to the counter unless I was properly prepared to ship my items. I had two packages that was not taped. I wanted to ask him a question about how I could obtain tape and he was VERY NASTY AND UNPROFESSIONAL with his precipitous response. His customer service presence is not very welcoming. First line staff should be accountable for there customer service skills. HIS behavior was not acceptable at all!

Hello, I am a regular at this location and my experience has been great! Once, I needed help with finding the right box for my package so I wouldn't spend more than I should and the lady not only took her time helping me look for the right fit but when we couldn't she helped me come up with a better idea for shipping... I am very appreciative to her and this office....thank you

This specific location has the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and I've lived in Canton my entire life. Lost and damaged mail and packages, including Christmas and birthday cards, wedding invitations. I've tracked packages that say it's been delivered, but where is it? Never turned up! I'm also constantly getting other peoples mail, and those ridiculous plastic bags that say "oops, sorry...we damaged your mail, and we're not going to do a thing about it". It's gotten so bad that I will go to the Canton office very early, on my way to work to use the Postal machine, just to avoid the rude and hateful clerks. But just this past Friday, the machine charged my debit card, then didn't spit out my postage. The lady that was in the lobby mopping the floors told me there's not a darn thing I can do until they open, she was just as rude as the rest of them! So after a long day at work, I had to stand in the 20 person line full of people that were just as irritated as I was. The line was all the way to the doors, and they literally had two clerks working!! The lady that finally helped me literally laughed when I told her what happened. Stated there's an issue with the machines and static electricity?! No apology, nothing. I walked out of there very angry, like usual, because I felt like I was a complete bother to them. I can honestly tell that each and every one of them HATE their job...it is so apparent that it's almost a joke. They're so rude that I get nervous having to even deal with one. And they wonder why the PO is losing money and probably going to have to make cuts? These people don't deserve their jobs, and you'd think the Government would work harder on training them for Customer Service, or maybe not. The same people have worked there for some time now. If any of us treated customers or patients like that, we'd get canned.
