Once again, my next door neighbor has to bring me my mail. This is the second time this week and it happened last week and the week before. It HAS TO STOP. I even get wrong mail and have to finish his job. Gary Brown 478 Forest Ave Orono, Maine 04473

I am the pastor of a church on Mount Desert Island and one of my parishioners is staying at Orono Commons on Bennoch Road. Since I can't visit her my only contact is by phone call or mail. I sent her an Easter letter three weeks ago and it was returned to me today, "Return To Sender No Such Number Unable To Forward". In writing the address on the envelope I wrote, 17 Bennock Road instead of 117 Bennoch Road, two errors, I left off a 1 and misspelled Bennoch. I realize my error and have resent my letter with the correct address. My issue is I believe your office should have known the intent since they are only blocks from you and there is only one Orono Commons on your road. Technically you were right in returning my letter but I believe common sense and customer relations would have warranted delivering the letter. The cost to me was just another envelope and stamp. There was also a cost to you in returning a letter that could easily been delivered and a cost to my parishioner who lost contact with her church during Easter. I respectfully request you review your policies for returning such mail. thanks for listening.
