I tried to call my local post office just to ask a general question because they would be closed by the time I got there if I drove there to ask in person. There was no local phone number on the website. It took about 12 minutes to get through the automated @! before I got to a real person. To make matters more frustrating, the automated “person” kept getting stuck in a loop, saying “my mistake” and then repeating the same automated question. By the time a real person answered the phone, there was clearly no time left to call my local post office, so l asked the man “is this the Mechanicsville Post Office?” He replied, “This is the USPS. How can I help you?” I repeated my question; he repeated his introduction. This happened 3 times. The fourth time I repeated my question I added “I’m trying to find out if you are physically located in the Mechanicsville Post Office. I don’t understand why this is such a hard question!” He finally replied, “I can get a phone number there if you can give me a zip code.” By this time I was so frustrated I said it doesn’t matter anymore. I need to speak with someone at that physical location and it took so long to get to this point they’re now closed and won’t answer the phone even if you transferred me there directly!!” Then I just hung up. This is absolutely the WORST public service system ever!! It’s no wonder their competitors are blowing them out of the water!! We can send a man into space for months at a time, build bridges that are miles long, and keep diabetics alive with a continuous glucose monitor and insulin pump that fit in the palm of your hand, but we can’t figure out the logistics of how to improve the flailing service of the USPS?! (Maybe they should talk to Amazon or Fedex to get a clue!) No wonder your competitors are slowly creeping into your service areas! They know how to put an actual live person on the phone as well as get something from point A to point B successfully! Count me in as part of the migration exodus leaving the post office and going to their competitors!! ?

The delivery girl has been leaving our packages in the driveway and today she left the package by our mailbox on the side of the road. Luckily we arrived home in time to grab it before it was stolen!

The mail carrier was leaving my packages propped up beside my mailbox (when I was actually getting them) which is over 70 feet from my front door and on the side of a busy neighborhood street. The last time they did this I caught a group of kids about to steal my packages and I am still missing many packages that say they were delivered when I track them. Also Im waiting for something important and expensive that was supposed to be delivered Thursday and It says its in Mechanicsville but its not giving me any other info. When I call the Mechanicsville usps its always busy. If I knew usps would be this effected by covid I would have paid the extra $6 to get fed ex to deliver it. I will definitely do that for all future orders.

I would like to complain about the fact the our mail person is leaving packages on my front porch in the bad weather. They use to open the porch door & put inside now it is left outside & sometimes against the door so I can't open it. Today the package was dripping wet. This is not ok. Then I tried to call about the problem & everything is automated so you can't speak to a human. If your want to speak with someone the wait time is 1 hour. That tells me that I am not alone. I would like this problem resolved.

I can definitely let you know that I am not happy with you between your people just walking off the job and your employees sitting in my driveway for over 20 minutes just scanning every package in the truck at 7:30 at night. You guys think you where in financial trouble before just wait until everyone here stops using your facility

Over the past week you have a mail delivery person that is totally lost. They drive around in circles and deliver then go up the street deliver again and clearly they are lost. I live in Sandgates. I had a package due today. I checked Tracking. It says held at your post office at the request of the owner. LIE. I have not talked to the mail delivery person. So not only are they confused and lost, they lie because they can't get the deliveries done.

PLEASE be MORE careful delivering the mail on this street. one of us gets someone else's mail frequently if not from our own street, from three notch road, which makes me think i know where all of my missing mail is going.... I understand mistakes happen but in todays world there is little junk mail so what we are getting is time sensitive mail that is being delivered incorrectly Today all of my mail was NOT mine, so Lord only knows where ours went... This is a paid service Please be more efficient.
