The services for delivery for the Laurel (20707) had declined drastically! My original carried JR who left our route in early 2023 is missed really bad. I too as Gail mentioned below am expecting MVA Stickers and I see them in Informed Delivery, but they have not been delivered!
The many different carries are not reading and sorting mail appropriately - dropping off mail of my neighbors to my house and I'm sure the missed mail from March which was finally delivered in July was at someone's address.
I did Hold Mail and neither was mail at the Post office which I requested and today I can see through informed delivery I have mail, but it has not yet been delivered at 3Pm on 8/7/2023. Services in the 324 Main St. Post Office are slow as there are only 2 ppl working at a time - one of which is a seasoned employee who basically runs the entire operation and is so friendly, but I'm sure he's nearing retirement so I only can imagine what type of services would be after he leaves.
Do something! It's terrible to have to this many complaints.
Case #52659038. What is being done to resolve this issue ASAP? I have over 20 pieces of mail to be delivered. Including MVA tag sticker and registration. I went to 324 Main Street and was unsuccessful and given the run around! They took my name and address to appease me but still no mail. I wasn’t aware that a courier could choose to NOT deliver US mail without danger to life or limb.
Issue still not resolved. This needs to be elevated. I get the same response… it’s at the annex.

1 Package that would not fit in mailbox was paced on curb in the rain.
2. Medium package was delivered to house. Instead of putting package on full covered porch, package was placed on driveway in front of garage door. Package was run over when I backed out of garage.
Missing one whole day's mail--4 pieces. Two service requests resolved with no notice to me. (800) number refers back to local PO. Local PO NEVER answers the phone. Did get one person to say it was "carrier error", but no one ever told me that. If they know it was their error, where is my mail? This is not the first time this has happened.
I had two packages marked as "delivered in mailbox" and within 10 mins I checked the mailbox and no package. I road around the neighborhood and saw the mail carrier and told her there was no package although she marked "delivered" and all she said was "I don't know what to tell you, I delivered all my packages" smh just the week before i had all my neighbors mail in my mailbox.
I haven't gotten mail in almost a week. Medicine was supposed to be delivered on the 23rd. They said it couldn't be delivered and would retry the next business day. I still haven't gotten it, plus I was home on the 23rd. I've received medication before without an issue (coming from the same place)

I have tried to fill out contact forms, call laurel post office which is never answered to clear up a delivery they claim they attempted with an insufficient address. My camera shows no one tried to deliver anything and I can’t get help from anyone. Why does postal workers earn such a huge salary yet are so very very unreliable.
I dropped my five packages at Main St, Laurel Post Office on August 28,2020. But my packages are not delivered yet on 10/16/2020. I inquired to the counter inside but they said they did not have responsibility on it since there is no tracking number on my packages. Where is my packages? Be respect and be serious on your work, if not , get out!
My mail is regularly delivered to someone else's home. We've even set a "Mail Exchange Day" because the mail person can't seem to read addresses. (I would think this would be required.) When I have outgoing mail, it usually takes 2 to 3 days before it's picked up. I usually put it out in the morning and bring it back in the house at night. Why is the mail service so bad in Laurel?
We have that problem in our neighborhood, mostly because the builder was a cruel, cruel man and gave every street a similar name and the same house numbers. The Post Office is actually better than other carriers. I don't get take-out, because of the bad delivery.
On the other hand, I got a notice yesterday from USPS that they hadn't delivered a package because my house, where they have been delivering mail to me for 39 years. I couldn't get anyone on the phone to help, so I'm going in tomorrow with mail that they have delivered. I hope that the package hasn't been sent back.

Arrived laurel md 20707 at 7:10a on 6:20/20 and was out for delivery.
Last update on 6/21/20 awaiting delivery scan. As of 1:10a status of item had not been updated! Today’s date is 6/24/20 my package has not been received and no updates as to when it will be delivered! WHERE IS MY PACKAGE???
scheduled pickups are not picked up. Got a confirmation that it's picked up while the package is lying outside. Sometimes I get a confirmation even before the pickup scheduled day.
Not sure if the phone number listed even works. worst service I have ever seen.

My neighborhood previously had the BEST mail carrier! He was transferred and ever since then it’s been terrible. Mail delivered to the wrong address...sometimes in a different t street, sometimes different area code...
A couple weeks ago, a package was delivered...it was in front of my garage. The package was opened and damaged. I looked in my camera and saw the mail carrier get out of his vehicle, wind up, and “bowl” my package up my driveway. I have DM’d the USPS FB page and received responses that this branch has been emailed several times...as they were to contact me. I have an actual video of the occurrence and have yet to be contacted by Laurel Post Office. Are there any actual consequences to this behavior? I find it deplorable.
Poor. Live in Laurel and frequently get mail mis-delivered. Next door neighbor just came over with four bills delivered to him. No one is answering phone; Office appears to be poorly managed.
Totally disappointment and dissatisfied customer and community! I am contacting to inform you of a situation with the mail service. I was on vacation and when I came back I found out all of my mail was returned to sender between October 31 and November 10 because the mail deliver said my box was full and I have moved with no forwarding address. I have not moved! I have lived in Victoria Falls off of contee road for the past 11 years. We here in the community have the large overflow boxes which I understand is to be used if our mail exceeds the capacity of the mailboxes. Right now I’m highly upset because of the situation, this is not the first time I’ve had problems with this mail deliver. In the past I have had my mail delivered to the wrong boxes, crinkled up and lost and if this isn’t enough after talking with people in the community about this situation I found that several people are having or have had issues with their mail delivery and that the county executive offices have been contacted about this. I too have contacted representative Browns office and I plan to come to the main post office tomorrow to handle the situation.
I had a similar oroblrm with Laurel.
I learned my lesson: I now submit my vacation mail,holds IN OERSON with the yellow gold card (mailing it should work.( Sometimes when it's done online, it's not done.
My solution will be to get a commercial,post office box with a street address. I csn stop worrying about hold mail or it bring out in the wrong box -- but thst costs.

I sent mail in Sept and Oct to Severn, and to Gambrills, they each took
9 or 10 days to get there from my home in Laurel. WHY!!
Fedexsmartpost delivered my package to the laurel office on 09/23/2019, tracking showed that package was out for delivery on 09/24/2019, today is 10/04/2019 package yet to be delivered. Called about 6 times in various occasions I was kept on hold for about 2 hours, and different associates kept on talking to me about same issue urging me to start all over again. Called again today, was kept on hold for 2 hours, finally when I was attended to nothing was done. My contact details were collected including my phone number. That has been done thrice now and the don't reach back to me. What I really don't understand is- if package was delivered to USPS and a tracking number generated where is the package???
The Laurel, MD Post Office on Main Street seems to have a growing problem of opened, damaged, and missing packages and there has been no authoritative response as to why this is happening especially to Box Customers. Did employee background investigators overlook someone? Along with this issue is the ratio of miss-delivered mail (mail belonging to Unknown Addresses and Other Laurel Areas, etc). This has to stop. Maybe a reassignment would help anyone disinterested in his or her current job. The situation is destroying the trust in an essential service to the citizens of Laurel.
What do I have to do to get someone to answer the phone? What must I do to get my request done? I have requested the key to my new mailbox 3 weeks ago and no one can tell me anything.
Id have any govt checks deposited to your bank account directly.

The mailman/mailwoman in Laurel (11th Street & Route 198 neighborhood) normally drops other people's mail in our mailbox. I wonder if he or she left my MARC monthly pass somewhere else...!! Very frustrating indeed...
We live in "Victoria Falls" community off Contee Road. We as a community have constantly complained about our mail. The carrier has one bldg. to enter for the single family homes, villa sometimes he never comes at all. We have a management off ice in this building so they know when he enters as it is a secure bldg. The Postal sefvice has to something about this community. We are waiting on checks, W2's for taxes and he is slow, never comes, or comes 5:30 or later. If we can not get results from the local office we will be going t the Inspector General of the Postal System of the U.S. Post Office. We have been complaining for years and have been patient. Does anybody monitor this route?
I have tried for TWO WEEKS to contact an employee who left an urgent note in my P.O. Box to no avail. Also tried calling the main number and no answer. Cannot find an alternate number to contact. What gives?
The carrier who delivers parcels to me can leave them in either the lockbox intended for this purpose or at my front door. Several times recently the carrier has left a parcel in front of my garage door, where I can easily back over it without knowing. I asked the carrier in one case not to do this; she replied with a very defiant, pouty, and uncooperative attitude that leaving parcels in front of the garage door is her option. How can I get this changed for my address?
I have a locking mailbox. When I have a smaller parcel, like a 9x12 envelope, delivered it is jammed into the mailbox slot, half hanging out. Other times any thicker mail is jammed into the mailbox.
Anyone going by could take anything falling from the mailbox.

I waited on a package to be delivered. The postal carrier did not ring my doorbell-however left a slip. I called the 800 number on the slip only to learn there is nothing that can be done by the customer service representative-after holding for oven an hour. I called the Main Street Office in order to schedule a redelivery-only to receive no answer. This is very frustrating and an inconvenience due to the lack of someone not doing his/her part.

I have had problems with the Laurel Post Office since I bought my house in Laurel in the year 2000. Instead of trying to put all of these problems in one review, I will send several reviews.
Latest Issue:
For the last several month delivery service, never good, has gotten progressively worse. Its is probably "payback" because of the number of times I have called the post office complaining of service.
Latest occurrence: I called the Laurel Post Office at 7:18 m. Sara (?) answered the phone. (I have had interaction with her before). She was rude and before I had even discussed the recurrence of the problem with delivery service and informed her I would be filing a complaint, she said (in a nasty manner) to go ahead and do so. She then hung up on me.
Called to find out about a package that was received at the post office. Wanted to pick it up instead of of having it delivered tomorrow. Renee answered the phone. I could not have had anyone more rude and ignorant to speak to. So unprofessional and nasty. The attitude it absolutely unacceptable. We don't all work in a post office - so we don't all know how the rules work. Explaining it to a patron is part of your job - otherwise - DO NOT answer the phone. I have always loathed going to the Laurel Post office for this reason - no one there is ever friendly in any manner. Renee just reinforced that. GO TO THE SAVAGE POST OFFICE!! THEY ARE NICE!
