I love this post office. The postal employees are very kind, very friendly, and very, very helpful and efficient. Sometimes, when I am in downtown Amherst, I am tempted (but I have never done it) to go into the P.O. just to say "hi" to Denise and Nancy. Not to take up their time, just say hello.

I walked in and there was a customer before me. The employee talked to her about random things for over 10min. Once someone else came in line they told the lady "oh, we have a customer now." Then I walked up and it was finally my turn and I asked "did you know I was here?" They said, we have other customers." Then I asked to have something certified mail, and they just took my envelope and said "step aside." I was confused because I didn't even pay for it yet. Then the lady talked to the other customer and I heard something as $5 dollars and then I took out my wallet and they said "oh, that's her amount." It was very weird because I was starting to think if I pay for it another day, like only when it was delivered. Then after they are all friendly with the other lady, I said "can you tell me before you just tell me to stand out of the way. I thought I didn't have to play. Let me know next time." They said "we have other customers." Then I was saying "I will put bad review and I did hear bad things about this office. And they were like "I don't know why you are talking to us like this." As I walked out, I was said "this is the weirdest post office ever." And that was putting it lightly. But it's not like I was a customer or anything. But whatever. I have no idea why I am even wasting my time on people who I wasn't worth the time. But I have worth and this was just wrong. And since there is q chance others endure this, I will write something. You cannot help what you don't know. So I let you know. But whatever. Just so stupid that this is a thing in the first place.

Sue at the Amherst Massachusetts Post Office was excellent and really made my day with her helpfulness, kindness and humor.
