This post office is BY FAR the WORST post office I've ever been to in my life. They don't deliver your mail and when they do, they either throw it over the fences or behind bushes. They claim to "never have access to your house" or "attempted" to deliver things. I've missed countless hours and lost precious time waiting on my mail carrier, who I can only assume shows up when he/she feels like it. This entire branch should be shut down and everyone in it should be fired. The incompetence of everyone in this branch is staggering.

I know tha post office isn't closed I've been calling all morning and no one is answering I have a problem receiving my x neighbor that isn't living around here anymore she as been moved at least 4 months and I'm sick & tied of getting her mail. I put up a note on my box saying who lives in my household so when there's a different mail person they put it in her box. This is bullshit. People don't want to change their address because they don't want there income to change. SMFH

I have always heard this is one of the worst post office and now I come to believe it more and more yesterday I went to the post office and they change their hours from to close at 6 PM I got there at 5:45 the door was locked they no longer have 24 hour service or access where you can get your mail out of box, you only way you was in form is by reading the letter on the door when you went to get your mail this is terrible no communication they said this is the federal government I see why they wanna close the post office and right now I agree. And they do not answer the phone .This is shameful

Like everyone else I get my mail every now and then. I now have signed up for Informed Delivery, but what good is that if I know something is coming, but not delivered. And trying to reach someone by phone is a joke, NO ONE ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!

I have been very patience with my mail person. For the last year my mail delivery have gotten worse and worse. I receive other people mail and have to go to the post office to put it back in the mail box. I live in the Holy Cross Area. Yesterday I received mail addressed to 1600 block of France Street and 1000 block of Chartres Street I put them into the mail box. Sometimes we don't get mail for 2(two) days. I see the mail truck pass up and down our street and don't stop. Please something have to be done about this. This is my first step.

A package was to be delivered to my home in Bywater, New Orleans yesterday. I waited all day to receive it, only to be told by my sister that she had received a text that the carrier did not have access to my home. This was an outrageous untruth for my gate is not locked neither is my driveway gate. I even had attached a door bell to my mailbox to ring the bell when making a package delivery. Now the post office at the Bywater Station will not answer the phone either so that I might report this situation. I am extremely disappointed with the postal service as of late.

Covid19 has had an impact on most everything, however when a package sent priority mail with tracking information showing that package is out for delivery, yet at the end of the day notice is received “attempted delivery-no access” Security cameras which are always on show NO ATTEMP OF DELIVERY. This is a recurring issue. Local post office never answers the phone. If you can’t deliver the mail at least be honest, don’t lie.

The mail carrier has been leaving our mail in flower pots. There is a mail slot by the front door 4230 N Rampart St. We are independent workers and get paid through the mail. Our mail can get wet, blow into the street, etc. and is aggravating, to say the least. It has never been delivered this way.

I lived in New Orleans all my life & this is by far the WORST post office EVERRRRR, i have problems with my packages ALLLLLLL da time, when i place orders online i leave notes with my carrier which is usually (FedEx, UPS or USPS) for them to leave my packages under my steps, i never have a problem with FedEx or UPS but with USPS they STILLLLL leave my packages VISIBLY on top of my steps for someone to pass by & steal (WHICH HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES)...i even go in & fill out the yellow card sometimes for them to hold my very important packages for me to pick up & they'll STILLLLL deliver it VISIBLY on top of my steps...& God forbid you have to go in & purchase something its always just ONE WORKER this really nice lady so you can't be to upset because she's so nice...this place needs improvement with them carriers its past RIDICULOUS...

I live in Kansas City Missouri and have a son that I often mail packages to using USPS. I’m a strong supporter of the usps mail carriers, I refuse to do things online and still by stamps to mail letters etc., although it appears every time I use this location to send him anything there ALWAYS seems to be a problem. The last two times I’ve mailed packages I’ve sent them and paid for next day delivery and both times there seems to be some issue and they DONT get delivered onto time. In which I’m told I can get my money refunded but there seems to be a glitch and that does not happen. It’s so frustrating to paying customers and I try and do my part ensuring carriers keep there jobs due to all the others services and on line tech stuff. I don’t know if this will be addressed but I’m loosing all faith in this branch of our postal family.

This is the waste post office in the city!!!! We have lived in the French quarter and had great postal service for 20 years, before they closed Loyola branch! Now we are in SHIT HOLE Bywater and it sucks! Mail magazine checks or never delivered! I drive to the great people on bayou Saint John to mail thinks, because the losers of Bywater either won't pick it up or just throw it away!
