I'm sad to say that we have one of the worst post offices in town. The employees are disrespectful, rude and just don't care about their job and you can tell by how the interact with their customers. The higher ups let their coworkers do and say what they please and this should be a concern.

I order tons of auto parts online for my race cars and vintage cars , I will be given a direct delivery date . Packages are always 3 to 5 days beyond the date for delivery . When you pay for shipping then they ( postal service ) need to deliver on that . Trying to call to get a refund is pointless on shipping cause covid is always the issue , well guess what this shit has been going on for last 6 years . Fix it $316.00 this year wasted on timely shipping .

For legal reasons certified mail has to be sent. THESE GUYS DON'T DO IT CORRECTLY. Cert Letter, sent restricted with a return receipt (proof you sent it & they recieved it) well, the receipt will never come back and tracking numbers will show Pre-Shipment and will never be seen or heard of again. Keep your receipt as that is the only proof it happened. Legally it's not enough. I've been having this trouble for YEARS! I've spoke to managers & supervisors that say they'll speak to the carriers and fix it. Well, it's still happening! Get it together.

The most incompetency I have ever come in contact with regarding my mail. THEY made a mistake delivering my package because the PREVIOUS owners of my house had moved out almost a month ago. The carrier did NOT verify that the NEW owner (me) had moved in and did live there (I’ve received mail with no problem). The supervisor I spoke to said I would have to call the sender to resend it to me because they shipped it back without verifying anything. They want me to do THEIR job when THEY made the mistake in the first place. Don’t expect any help from them because “there is nothing they can do and they are very busy.”

This complaint is for The incompetent people that work at the post office. This is my second time that this is happened to me using your services I’ve lost a $1900 check in the mail now there’s a $2500 check close lost in the mail that just had to go from Leavenworth to Raytown I’ll get packages from Georgia faster than you can get send it from one town to the next it’s cost me money to cancel checks it’s cost me money for late fees and you dumb people just cannot do your job I want somebody to respond to me as soon as I can because I’ve lost over $150 dealing with your dumb stupid and Incompetent people how hard is it to pick up the mail out of the mailbox give it to your sorters and send it to the next town how hard is that sorry everybody doesn’t do everything by phone or Internet or PayPal this is how it’s done when you run a business... I didn’t realize you need to put a tracker on a piece of mail because you are so incompetent either send the envelope back to me or get it out from under your seat or the crack that you lost it in so I can pay somebody without a late fee, Yeah because kids are going on the post office to see what people are saying they don’t give a crap just do your job and get the mail to where it goes it’s been over a damn week last Friday to this Friday the bat the mail still has not been delivered to where I sent it to on your stamp I pay my taxes but you can’t deliver a envelope

I was waiting on a letter that had to be signed for. I checked the mailbox at 11:00 and it was empty. So, I put a very large note on the front door to knock very loud because this old house is very well insulated. I also sat where I could see the front door at all times. By 3:00 I went to check the box again and my mail was in there, but not the one that required a signature. Instead the carrier put an attempted delivery notice in the box say I was not at home. I immediately contacted the Post Office in Leavenworth and reported the carrier and her lie. I told the supervisor that it was very important that I receive the letter today. The supervisor contacted the carrier and in about 15 minutes the carrier was back at my door. I expected an apology from her for lying about the attempted delivery. When she just stood there looking totally undisturbed by her lie, I informed her that the subject was not closed. I am a 70 year old female with one knee replacement and waiting for my second replacement. It is not always easy for me to get to the mailbox, but for this young carrier it was very easy for her to bound up and down my 5 steps. Such a shame that no one taught her how to do her job without lying to the elderly.

This is not a review, but a complaint. I have called the Leavenworth Post twice recently asking for a simple thing. Our office is opened Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We are closed at lunch from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. For some reason several times the person delivering the mail pushes it through the door slot instead of coming into the office. I have tried to catch them and have also spoke to a couple of them, they change often. He came today at 1:30, the lights are on, I'm sitting at my desk. He put it in the door slot and left. By the time I got down the hall and out the front door he was half way of the street taking mail out of a mail pod where there is mail for the two apartment buildings. Evidently he could not hear me hollering to him. Our address here is 747 Osage. If they do not come in or bring our mail after 4:00, we have to make a trip to the post office. Could someone please let whomever is handling te mail, to try to get here whe we are open (many over the past years have been able to), or to at least check the door and see if it is unlocked. I will again call the Post Office in downtown Leavenworth. Appreciate what our mail carriers do, especially in the bad weather, but we need to get our mail in a timely manner and get it picked up. Thank you for your consideration.
