questions on forwarding mail. If someone has moved and put in a fowarding address how long does that take before mail is sent to that new address?
Thank you.
We live at 3614 W. Western Avenue 46619. Our mail person has been writing on various pieces of mail that she can not access our address and therefore is holding our mail. I am 70 years old yet i clear a path to the sidewalk everyday and salt same. I have several photos of this over the last several weeks. I do not know what her problem is but I want my mail delivered when it should be. Our previous full time carrier never had a problem with our location.
I've been in to the Olive St office twice to complain about my postman refusing to drop off packages. The second time I was blown off.
I have him on camera and even showed the manager (a blonde woman on a Saturday) video the first time of him not knocking but filling out a paper saying, sorry we missed you. She said, Mr. Holmes. Or something like that. She made him come back and drop them off. But he is still doing it. I don't think she mentioned the video.
Last time, I stood next to the door and watched him filling out the paper. Just as he turned around I opened the door and said, I already showed your boss a video of you not knocking and filling out that paper! He said, well these international package really need a signature. He repeated that twice, gave me my stuff, without a signature, and left.
I went back to the Olive St post office and was told the manager (a man this time) was on the phone. The girl asked my number and promised I'd get a call. That was 3 days ago.
Now. I'm finding out packages sent a month ago were sent back to China because I wasn't home. Who knows if I was or not. He does this every month. And I am making jewelry to sell later so he is interfering with my income.
I'm wondering, if I can sign something that says, just drop it off?!
Gerald is the kindest postal delivery man we have ever experienced. He makes sure our packages are safely delivered and hidden from street sight when delivered. I just can’t say enough good things about him. You are fortunate to have such a wonderful, loyal, hard working employee. We are lucky as well to be so well served by him. Thank you.
Not happy with service today. I came in with family to get 3 passports. The gentleman that helped us was outstanding but he didn't give me a receipt for my payments. I returned about an hour later to try to get my receipt but was amazed by the response. I just wanted a receipt to show I paid the UDOS $330 & USPO $110 that I paid on today's date. My paperwork was still on the Passport office desk. But the female refused and stated that I paid by a personal check and that was my receipt, that they dont give receipts. I advised I was there a year prior to get my wife and I a passport and I got receipts then. She then responded the guys is not here and I can't help you, your check is good enough. So sad to say she has poor customer relationship qualities. Would really like a receipt for my transaction. Thank you.
We like our lawn and planting beds nice. Over 15 years ago we asked the carrier to stay on the concrete walkways and sidewalks. Stay off the grass and out of the planting beds, winter or summer. They agreed and we have had little issues with the carrier until now. We have a new carrier and he refuses to stay off the lawn and has been walking threw the planting beds. We have called the post office and stated our position and they always say they will talk to the carrier, but the issue continues. Our request is not outrageous, they have abided by our wishes for years, until now. I don't want to approach the carrier directly, I don't want him accusing me of harassment. Anyone have any suggestions, anyone having this issue?
I tried resolving a priority mail problem with an item I mailed to Indiana. My local Florida office were no help at all and they were the ones who created the problem. After ten days I called the South Bend office myself. I got the most pleasant well spoken person ever. Sharon resolved my problem and called me back within a couple of hours. What a pleasant experience dealing with her.
My postal carrier service sucks, I get other people's mail that's obviously addressed to different addresses. The carrier has knocked my mailbox off my house twice and it's held up by long heavy duty screws for brick front homes. I called in a complaint and the supervisor was very rude and didn't care, she told me to go buy a different mailbox.
How do I issue a complaint with a South Bend postal carrier? I've lived here over 20 years with no issues until the last 2 months, when I moved to a new address. We do not receive much of our forwarded mail, and she often makes her rounds while screaming about personal issues on her cell phone. Loudly, at around 10 AM.
