Helpllll At 2:00 today, March 14, 2023, the two drive-up mailboxes were stuffed so tight there was no room for more mail to be deposited. Someone must have forgotten to change their watch. I can't imagine that much mail had been deposited since the scheduled 1:00. Help

This post office is full of it.....the mail person delivering packages for this area should be fired. This person skipped pass my address with my package and had tothe nerves to say that they tried to deliver it but got no answer, I'm sitting here waiting and even thought to wait for them out in my car but my text said it should be here before 8pm but they attempted to deliver it at 11:51 am. It don't make sense!!! This is bs.

I’m just home from a Post Office run (Bacon Station, Indianapolis.) I’m disabled and don’t get there often. Despite a seasonally-swollen line behind me I was able to mail a package AND swiftly pick out four sheets of commemorative stamps from the binder for my collection, all without even a dirty look (from employees OR patrons) for gumming up the works. This felt so much like a minor Christmas miracle that I was moved to contact you. I am so grateful. Thanks to all USPS workers who do such a wonderful job month after year after decade. D.O.

Horrible mail carriers. Since our previous lady left. Never get mail for 2-3 days. The carrier today said he attempted delivery. But he is lying. I seen him park. And he did not leave my package from Amazon. Lazy

Bacon Station- Where did the drive up mail boxes go? My mom is in the COVID "danger" age. She went to drop off a bill in the mailbox and it was gone. I had to go back and drop the bill inside as she is avoiding entering enclosed spaces she doesn't control. This is unacceptable!

I am wondering the same. I have business mail that I take to this branch 3x week. If they have decided to remove the drop off boxes permanently then I have no choice but to pay all our bills online. Then this branch will suffer.

This is the second day in a row that the mail has not come to my company's address. I work for a company that receives important mail daily and we also send out mass mailings daily as well. This is very frustrating because we have many mail bins full of mail that are not being picked up. My boss has been waiting for important checks to arrive for two days now. I just want to know what the issue is because this is not convenient for our business. We should be receiving our mail daily. The timing does not matter, it is the fact that they have not come at all in two days. This is not professional and I would like to know why this is happening. This is NOT the first issue we have had with the Bacon Street post office.

For the last several weeks my mail out of Bacon Station has been screwed up because of a name issue and a carrier who doesn't take the time to read names. It's an apt. complex with pedestal boxes in the parking lot. My first name is the same as my neighbor across the hall. My last name is similar to the lady below me. We all get each other's mail. Once the carrier left me a package and didn't put the key to the pkg box in my slot. Company emailed me to say it was delivered. THREE DAYS LATER after several phone calls someone finally came out and figured out what happened. I have complained to station manager KALIMA DUMAS several times and she said she'd talk to carrier. Then we set up a meeting but I cancelled it because I chatted with the carrier who said she'd be more careful. Not the case. I'm documenting everything. This is ridiculous.

Our mail is delivered out of Bacon Station. The postman has not stopped at our house three days this week. On two of those days, we had mail to be picked up in our mailbox which, of course was not picked up. Those days mail was delivered, it wasn't delivered until after 6:00 pm. We typically receive a fairly large volume of mail. It is rare that we don't have mail for delivery one day per week, let alone three. The mail service was poor the first six months or so we lived here, but had improved the past couple of years. Now is getting spotty again. I'd appreciate it if someone could look into the spotty mail service.

Two days this week we had mail to be delivered (we subscribe to Informed Delivery Daily Digest, which emails you pictures of the mail to be delivered that day), but the postman did not deliver it. We also had mail to be picked up, which of course was not. This is the norm, rather than the exception. The delivery service from Bacon Station is absolutely abysmal. I certainly hope that not all of the USPS mail stations are as awful as this one.

Horrible delivery service. After putting a mailbox outside my fence, since after three years here Bacon Station abruptly decided they would no longer deliver to my front door (inside the fence) because our dogs MIGHT be out, today the postman simply tossed the mail over the fence, rather than put it in the mailbox outside the fence. Subsequently, our dog ate the mail. Not entirely sure what was in the mail, since it is shredded. Oh, and the outgoing mail was not picked up.

This is not a review of this post office, but a comment on our postal service. The front of our house is on a corner facing a side street, despite the address being the other street, so it can be confusing as to where our mailbox is. It is obvious, however, which side of the house is the front. We have substitute mail carriers at least once a week, and sometimes they have trouble finding our front door and end up, for example, leaving the mail on the small driveway-side entrance porch - on a bench. Today, the mail carrier forced open our screen porch door (on another porch on the other side of the house), which we keep locked because of our cats, and deposited our mail on the porch. There is no mailbox there, and this does not look like the front of a house! Fortunately, our cats were not on the porch at the time. We will have to repair the door knob's lock. We are really tired of substitute mail carriers not taking the time to locate the front of the house where an actual mailbox is located. I hope someone at this post office talks to the mail carriers about this problem. I will mention it to our regular mail carrier the next time I see him.

I have visited this post off twice and both times have had horrible experiences. The staff people were incredibly rude, could not answer any questions and argued about what the information on their website said even as I was showing the website. I asked to speak to a manager and the woman flat out said “No. There’s no manager here.” Incredibly frustrating. We ended up driving all the way down town to South Street and they were amazing! Never going to Bacon Street again.

Only two parking spaces are available for handicapped parking. The Rosewood bus for seniors had to use one of the 15 spaces for regular parking. Why is there a shortage of handicapped parking spaces? There are only 15 parking spaces plus only 2 additional handicapped spaces with a total of only 17 parking spaces in the front of the facility. Parking for customers needs to be expanded in the front of the postal building which is the area reserved for customers. The "one way traffic sign" on the east end is too small and many cars enter the customer area at the east end which is the wrong entrance.

when you come into the drive instead of turning left, go straight through (past the sidewalk-- looks like employee parking) and immediately turn left, there is more "regular" parking there.... no additional HC parking however.
