My mail carrier has been great. But today I'm (still) on hold so that I can get the post office to hold my mail until I can get the box fixed. Not sure what to do if they never answer...

I would like to commend my postal carrier, Mike, for helping me find our foster dog's collar. I have photos and a terrific story to share. Please email me.

Where’s our mail? We live on North Lombard Ave in Oak Park and have not received mail since January 2nd. My husband and I are seniors and longtime tax payers and should not have to deal with things like this. We shouldn’t have to do your job! You should be doing yours!

A box was left on my porch (126 South Taylor Ave.) which is addressed to Patricia Holian who lives at 126 North Taylor Avenue, Unit 1. The package is misaddressed to my home. I think your representative delivered it. I do not know how to contact this person so I am leaving the package on my porch where it was left. Please have it picked up.

I have tried to call the Oak Park Posts Office on Lake Street. The robot does not have the list of pre arranged option on the list and was going in and out. Because of this problem the robot said "I did not hear your response". My mail was remove from my mailbox and he alarm tech who was working said he saw a lady remove it. I think this need to be reported. What do you think?

I have an outstanding carrier. She has been so helpful. I want to leave her a gift but want to make sure she gets it. There are many subs who also work my route. I want to know my regular carrier’s name so I can put it on my card.

I have a compliment ... I have been frustrated that I have been unable to track and locate a package. I want to compliment the gentleman that answered the phone and took my tracking information. I don't even know his name, but I'm sure you do and I hope you pass on this compliment to him. I appreciated his reassurance and having a real conversation with me.

I purchase stamps on Friday at the 901 Lake Street post office in Oak Park & was waited on by a short Oriental lady who was not a pleasant person because I ask if she had any Sesame Street stamps which she said no but charged me $11 for 16 stamps & I ask did the price go up & she said yes. I was out on by the post office in berwyn who stamps were $8.80. I explained to her & she said she don't know how that happen, Anyway I have looked everywhere for my receipt but had no luck. However it was put on my bank card. Do I have any recourse in this matter

I’m still disappointed that the holiday card I sent to my niece and nephew that contained 2 gift cards from Target never arrived. I had plenty of extra postage, a return address and I dropped it in the USPS postal box located at Marion and Chicago streets. I suspect the card was detected to have “value” and I believe was stolen by the postal worker who picked up the mail from that box (I do not believe the card ever made it to the facility). I know not all postal workers are thieves (far from it), but the person who collects mail at this spot appears to be.

I'm 55 years old and I have NEVER had such consistent bad service! I've lived in Oak Park for 11 years. The long lines are absolutely ridiculous. I've complained, talked to the Postmaster and written letters... all to no avail. I don't know if there's any hope for them. I just go elsewhere.

Oak Park post office is terrible. There are always lines. There are 2 people working on a Saturday. No one in passports. There is a line for passports also. Who is MANAGING this post office? River Forest is so much better. I live in Oak Park and new management is needed for our post office.

I moved to Oak Park a month ago. The St Charles postal center on the east side, made a mistake with the forward to Oak Park. I have several very important documents that have not been delivered. One Day the very good postal delivery man, from the Oak Park office(I believe)helped me to make sense of any undelivered mail to me, absent of my apt number. If it weren’t for him, I’d never have received one piece of mail. Two calls to the United States postal offices resulted in a case number. They also gave me Oak Parks local number so I could advise them. When you call the number isn’t in service??? I waited 40 min. to speak with them. Online the local oak park postal on Lake has this number, but now uses the distant call center to deal with issues? Why am I not permitted to name contact by phone? This is rediculas ~ the national postal service gave me the number??? Oak Park postal, RECONNECT with home owners and businesses in your community. Let us get to know you and visversa ??? Documents that are urgent have been held up for 3 weeks into the 4th

On the day when they are open late.... no less than 15 people in line and ONE PERSON to help. Complete inefficiency at its best. We have jobs. We can't come when there is actual staffing of the desk. Terrible. No wonder people go elsewhere.

Just FYI, our mail delivery was off today by one house, my neighbors on each side of me have outside post boxes so I brought my neighbors mail to the north of me and put it in her box and extracted my mail from my neighbors whose home is one door south of me but we have a mail slot in our door , so if we were out of town it would have been difficult to remedy for my neighbor, it’s probably just someone new on the job because we have never had issues before, Just a heads up Thanks Mari Wagner 940 N Humphrey

Your manager named Joe is horrible. I was at the OPPO counter with another customer, both there to pick up packages. I was first in line, but I suggested that Joe take both of our IDs to the package section to pick up our packages at the same time. Joe, however, insisted that he take our IDs one at a time and make two trips to get the packages rather than taking one efficient trip to serve us both. This seems to me to be very passive aggressive, which is a common attribute of the employees I have met at this post office location. I would like to say, though, that the employee named Michelle was extraordinarily good. She had to take care of everyone on her own and yet remained professional, efficient, friendly, and very helpful. It is a shame that she had to be left on her own, helping a long line of customers waiting to get served, while Joe took his time serving people with a bad attitude.

I live in an apartment building which has a office open during business hours. When a package is addressed to me which requires my signature, why is not the carrier obligated BY HIS VERY JOB to call me from the lobby of the building to get my signature and leave my package? Tracing notes: NOTICE LEFT (NO SECURE DELIVERY LOCATION). There was no notice of any kind left on or in my mailbox in the mail room. We have a group of volunteers in the building who handle packages and they know nothing either. I think someone just cannot be bothered.

People working here are so so rude. I went there with my family to get their passports. They kept us waiting for more than an hour for no reason. I was there with my husband, a three year old and a baby. We had all our documents ready, so once we were in the front desk we were done in five minutes. It's just unbelievable that the people there can be so mean and unfriendly.

I think I was there when you were. You were being extremely nasty to the workers and subjecting everyone to your toddlers meltdown. Two sides to every story..
