I shipped a package to Chicago on September 09,2016 and it still as not been delivered and we have to pay for this to be shipped and I can not speak for anyone but me I work hard for my money and they are so nasty. And just look how many people is on here that has misplaced and nothing is being done about this if you do not like your job QUIT
Worst facility ever! Complete and utter liars. I wish I had known how awful the service is. I would have strongly suggested the shipper use UPS. First problem and there delivery estimate is a joke. Everything works great in the rest of the country. Go figure the certain "people" at USPS don't feel like working I guess. Sad, very sad service. The phone number that doesn't exist too. I'm irate sorry. This is ridiculous.
Why have a contact phone number if you don't answer? Its literally a message telling consumers to call the main 800# for USPS. Customer Service at USPS told me to call the facility directly. Seriously? There are a ridiculous amount of complaints about customer service issues and lengthy package delays for this facility. What is the Post Office doing about this? Why would you route ANYTHING through a facility that cannot operate efficiently? It is not only frustrating that I cannot receive my package, but its baffling to see that the same problems exist year after year for this facility.
I order a lot of merchandise from a nearby retailer and every single time my package(s) will sit in this particular facility for days. I live roughly 4 hours away from this post office and it takes over a week for my mail to arrive, never on or before the expected delivery date. I could literally drive down there and back in a day. It is Saturday night now, tracking still says "arrived at sorting facility" and it was shipped WEDNESDAY with an expected delivery date of Monday (yeah right, also the day i NEEDED the package to arrive). Get your heads out your a**es.
My package has been sitting there since July 10th of this year and still has yet been sent to my insurance carrier for my cell phone. Now I'm being charged over $400.00 on my cell phone bill because these people can't get there shit together and send the damn package out. Does anyone have a number for them that I can reach them because the one I got sends me to voicemail prompt that no one ever answers.
I order from a local business who has to go thru this post office. Every time the package is either stuck here for 3 days or more and ALWAYS misses expected delivery date. This has happened at least 5 times within the past year. Once it went to several wrong locations. I have seen many reviews in different websites with the same experience that date current back to years ago. Why does this not change? I order from many parts of the country thru USPS and this is the ONlY location that has consistent problems. It is very unfair to the businesses that have to use your post office and to their customers. Something must be done.
Takes on average 3-4 days to process a package through this office, wouldn't hurt to get one out of 10 packages delivered in the time stated although I understand USPS "does not guarantee delivery or delivery time" on anything other than overnight insured signed packages.
Same or similar with mine. I have not received mine as of yet (says still in transit after leaving here???), and it has been a week after the date it was supposed to get to me, with the seller paying first class at that (not that using any other shipping method, finding it getting delivered on any late date past a specified date it's supposed to be at it's destination is EVER acceptable. Or if EVER lost is either whatsoever). I am going to report to someone else other than USPS and their consumer affairs they have in business that's supposed to handle it(who do nothing and have done nothing with another package not long ago in Oct. in another location I had a problem with and not receiving that one either, having it after going back and forth in places to FINALLY go back to the person who sent it. Having to cancel on it since I didn't want to pay again along with it being late for what was in the package I needed at the time and USPS saying they would honor the mistake to pay for overnight and never wanting to honor it after while pushing me to their consumer affairs who then would in someway push me back to USPS) if it doesn't get to me by today, Friday. Jan 23, 2015. And have documented this all for my records and for the ones who I will take this matter to. People have to be aware of what's going on, and USPS wonders why they are not doing as well as they should having to keep raising the stamp price, closing some post offices and other to accommodate for their lack and careless service. We must all put an end to what they are doing and are in business to actually be doing that they are not simply doing right; ALL of us must STAND UP and FILE reports wherever and whenever a situation like this arises to get them to take these matters more seriously so this doesn't happen EVER again. In this line of work there is no room for a first mistake especially if you paying them money to keep them in business with paying for their now raised shipping prices or what have you to get where it's going in a timely matter. The more of us that band together in this, the more that gets done right, justified and noticed. If not this is what will continue to happen. Remember WE are the people that keep them in business and can easy take them down to get them to shape up. And don't make excuses that they are a govt./federal business as a reason not to take a stand and hold them completely accountable and responsible for it all. We do in other places/about other things without backing down, why not do it here too, which is what I'm doing to make sure it doesn't happen AGAIN and happen to those of us EVER or AGAIN dealing with these problems time AND again!!!Update from Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 NOW Monday, Jan 26, 2015: STILL doing NOTHING for me. Consumer affairs who they push me to call them and having not called me as of yet about this problem (another I had a problem with in Oct of last year 2014 that they never fixed from another area in California. First time I called I got someone who pushed me to consumer affairs and got me the supervisor, both doing nothing. Called back with a customer service lady who pushed me to consumer affairs again time AND again after repeating they did not NOTHING the last time. Called and seemed to have gotten her again since she hung up on me. Got a guy the next time who did the similar thing but put me on hold??? a bit to get a lady (supervisor I presume) and both did nothing again. And her hung up saying consumer affairs 'will' call back and 'handle' the situation for them to tell me what's going on with package so far and what they 'will' do about this like the others did say. Other customer service reps after have done nothing either but that consumer affairs will be looking into it, calling and all. How USPS continue to thrive and be able to raise prices on such things AND say they are 'better' is beyond me??? The proof is all over, not just here at this place for USPS customer service reps to say USPS is doing better. Going to the news about this all so they can get this done NOW and see to it that USPS and the facility or whoever responsible will be held accountable to the FULLEST. And any other I can go to like the Better Business Bureau. All I can say end with is they MESSED with the wrong one!!!
Really hard to run a home business when my packages have to go through this location. I shipped an item on the April 22nd - it is now May 7th - and it still hasn't left this sorting facility. It's been just sitting there for two weeks. Please - get your act together. It affects the little guys - my customers are complaining and I'm losing business. This is your bad review, because you've made me receive bad reviews. I'm on time, you should be too.
my package has said that is has left the facility, but that was noted since APRIL 27th. I was supposed to have this delivered APRIL 30th. so i call up there and no answers. Will i ever receive my package. this is so annoying, i leave in 2 days to travel and this was purchased for the occasion.
This post location will "forget" to put a tag in your box when you receive a package. Highly annoying when someone pays for faster shipping, but you don't get your package over a week after it was actually delivered. Also annoying when it is time sensitive.
does anybody find this weird or has this happend to anybody like ok on april 1st my packagesaid it was departed from the forest park sort facility but that same day at 9:11am it says its being proccessed and that was after it said it was departed please if somebody knows anything about this can u please help me i would greatly apreciate it

The number I was given for the sorting facility is 708.583.4299. I have yet to have anyone answer or call back. My package has been stuck there for 3 days and it was also a time sensitive package. *update* Someone finally answered, said things take time, they're busy, and it'll leave when it leaves... So I guess I just have to wait I guess..
This service is horrible. I got a package from China, and a package from Japan quicker than some bloody package in Illinois, AND I'M IN THE SAME FREAKING COUNTRY AS ILLINOIS, AND LIKE 2/3 STATES OVER FROM THE DANG STATE! I mean good Lord! How long does it take to ship a freaking Package from Illinois to Pennsylvania?! I got a package shipped to Oklahoma faster! >:O #Very UNHAPPY Customer! # Never shipping with this company unless a gun's to my head.

Waiting for a package to arrive in Naperville. Shows scanned at your facility on March 5th. Still doesn't show as out for delivery. Scanned again on the 6th and 9th at your facility. Yes it seems that packages take forever to leave this facility but I have a nagging suspicion that it is the distributors in the area I am betting that a lot of you have ordered a cellphone from the same place I did and they swore up and down the the item was at the post office for days. I don't believe it a bit!!! Neither should you!

How the hell can I find the correct number for this place? I havent been able to get in contact with anyone from USPS. I sent out my package on December 23rd and it never got to the place where it was supposed to go. Its been a month already and it still says its in FOREST PARK, IL 60130 ! NEVER DEPENDING ON USPS FOR NOTHING. SERVICE IS REALLY BAD.
I sent a package on December 26th 2 day service and paid $40 ur shitty ass system is saying that as of the 28th it is in Forest Park......but that's the date it was supposed to be delivered to an address in Burlington, NC and as of today my package still has not been delivered......I will NEVER EVER USE USPS AGAIN MY FIRST AND LAST TIME.....f*** the post office......that is all

I have packages sent to me weekly, I fear when they end up getting processed at this location. Every time, every single time, there is a 2-3 day wait added to my total shipping time. I don't know what the heck they do here, but they sure like to make sure I never receive my package on the delivery date. I have a package being "processed" there now, was due for delivery today. It's not even at my local office yet. Thanks a lot guys, another home run.
I can agree with this. I should of drove 40 mins and picked it up at the store instead decided to pay an extra 2dollars for shipping. it was sent out 12-14-13 estimated shipping is 12-18-13. It is now 13-19-13 and still havent recieved my item. Says sorting facility since the 15th and it went the opposite direction of were i live WTF
