We constantly get our neighbors mail from next door, we get our neighbors mail from a block north of us. Our mail isn't put securely in our mail slot, it is left sticking our or it is placed outside the slot in the bars of the security door where anyone can take it. We've had checks and gift cards stolen from what is supposed to be a secure drop box at Fullerton and Diversey. Shame on you all, I pay for this horrible service! I show up and do my job everyday, please attempt to do the same.

01/19/19. I live on the 2200 block of Lamon. I know my regular is on vacation. It would be nice to teach your mail carrier to pick up stamped letters that are left in the mail boxes. It would really be appreciated. Thus, I'm a former Postal Carrier. Thank you.

When USPS picks up stamped mail in a residential mailbox, USPS claims that the mailbox is the property of USPS and not of the owner. It then becomes a crime for canvassers of many types to put their material in the mailbox. The result is (a) litter as the canvassing materials blow away in the wind; (b) censorship because many people with important messages can't afford postage and the rain washes away the information on the materials. It is unreasonable for people in densely populated areas such as zipcode 60639 to demand that postal carriers pickup mail at their homes. Home pickup is redundant to the many post office boxes in the area. To give up your demand for home pickup is to speed the process of making your mailbox available to canvasser. It would be very helpful to important communications.
