The Garden City Post Office has A TON of negative/complaints. Does anybody care or do anything about it? As problems continue un corrected. In 2023, alone, we have had our flag up indicating out-going mail to be picked up. At least three times, our out-going mail has been left with nothing delivered. This is NOT acceptable. Whether mail is delivered, or not, if a flag is up, the mailman is to stop and pick it up. We've filed a formal complaint a couple of times, this year, and a month or two later, were informed that it had to be filed with the local Post Office and, therefore, the complaint went nowhere and now, the details are gone. The most recent is our property taxes. They were in the out-going mail, flag up, on June 20. Because our out-going mail wasn't picked up, they weren't picked up and postmarked until the next day. We were billed a fine and interest closing us an additional $200+. THAT'S NOT ACCEPTABLE. Quite frankly, the USPS should reimburse us that money. It was YOU who failed to do your job. And we, your customer, shouldn't have to get in our vehicle and drive to the Garden City Post Office and drop it by. Also, we'd like to know why our mail is frequently delivered after 6 p.m. We see a mail truck drive down Garrett, drive past Chelan, and deliver mail behind us in the Riverwoods Subdivision. We also see a mail truck drive down Garrett, heading toward Chinden, and turn down the other side of Chelan. All of those people receive their mail between 3 and 4 p.m. Us? Usually VERY late in the afternoon or, worse yet, after 6 p.m. WHAT'S GOING ON?

wondering why we frequently do not receive mail. Mail was not delivered yesterday, July 18th - Ellicott Lane, nor has it been delivered today. Delivery is very inconsistent. Have also had difficulty with forwarding mail...

I am very sad and disappointed in the loss and forwarding system from the Garden City, ID 83714 office. We have a forwarding address in place, but a package, at least one, we marked as Resident moved no forwarding address. I understand we all have technology issues, our family has not moved, our forwarding address is in place until 4/2022 and verified by Lauren at the local post office. It was explained that a name was missing from the address (by Amazon), the package was correctly forwarded and then returned to the local carrier, Andy, who then marked it as moved and returned. Andy knee we had a forward. So while trying to understand the flow and questioning Lauren raised her voice and told me I was too difficult and hung up on me. My following thought was if Andy knew our name why did he not just mark it and now what else has he returned we don’t even know about by stating “moved”. This post office has also marked our box as a bonded at one time, and did not collect our mail. This is unacceptable.

I have tried calling this Post Office multiple days to inquire about my Address Change. It rings and rings with no answer.. EVER. Why do you have a phone if no one is ever going to pick up? The lack of service is frustrating.

I have been unable to have my mail delivered successfully to my mailbox at my apt complex- why? My address is clear enough. Is this something about having to register with this office to have my mail delivered? Is this a Federal requirement or just a local thing? I have reports of my properly addressed mail being returned- why? Please respond.

I am so beyond frustrated. This has to be the worst post office of all times. You say my package is delivered yet its not in my mailbox!! I have called for two days straight and no one is picking up the phone. So my package is somewhere in limbo and you are zero help!

This is the worst PO for service. You call aad it goes to the fax machine. You never get any kind of help. They say they delivery packages but they are not in your mailbox. This has happened way too many times.
