I have video from my door camera of the delivery person not knocking or ringing the bell just posting a could not reach you come get your package note on my door. I have never had a decent experience with the ankney post office in the 5 years I’ve lived here. They are lazy, rude, and 100% incompetent. I would hire a pigeon if it were an option.

I have had the this same situation happen 4 times in the past 2 months. I live in a townhouse and there has been 4 instances of the mail person putting the incorrect key for the package box in my mailbox. Typically if I have to wait a few days for mail that is just sitting in the incorrect box I dont say anything, but this is out of hand. I have a very expensive plant that will die sitting in that box overnight but there is nothing I can do about it. This is so ridiculious, how hard is it to match the correct key with the correct box??? If this only happened once or twice it would be a different situation, but 4 TIMES NOW!!! This is terrible, and now I have to reorder an expensive item because you guys failed to do your job correctly, and it will be dead by the time this error gets fixed.

Your passport appointments are a joke first of all. Wednesday I accompany my college bound son who needs a passport to the post office on N Ankeny Blvd to file him passport application to be told we need an appointment, annoying but fine we make an appointment to come back the next day. My son arrives with all paperwork in hand to be told he needs to hand over his original birth certificate even though the confirmation received for the appointment states clearly to bring PHOTOCOPIES OF DOCUMENTATION. When I leave work to accompany my son back in the post office to clear this up the crotchety hag behind the counter states when I explain this says to me “then I guess he doesn’t get a passport if he doesn’t submit his original birth certificate”. Mind you there was no specific person we needed to speak to regarding passports same person who was there when we came to the post office on the first day and they were all standing around with clearly nothing to do so tell me what the purpose of the appointment was other than to use Covid 19 as an excuse to make everyone’s lives more difficult and make lazy post office workers more lazy. I suggest changing your confirmation information.

Way to go USPS -- making people, including elderly & those at high risk, go to the post office in the middle of a pandemic to pick up a new key to their mailbox - because you changed the locks without notice, essentially locking us out of our mailboxes. Terrible customer service - like every other government agency.

On Saturday, the 16th of June I received forwarded mail from my previous address in Ankeny. This was only because I called and asked if there was any mail, especially my tax return. The mail was from MAY 3rd through MAY 6th. It took SIX weeks to get forwarded and only because I called. This is not quality service by the postal service.

The Ankeny, Iowa post office is a useless establishment. I can get no information or cordial help. My mail comes late, mail lost, etc. The Des Moines post office is worse. I can't start an account because I have no land line, the online sites are useless and go in circles, etc, etc. NO SERVICE

Extremely upset. Package was to be delivered 7/1/17. I had tracking text info to let me know when delivered. I received text message at 1:10 pm that my package was delivered left with individual at 1:09pm. I heard notice beep, saw it was left with individual and it was not me or my husband (only 2 home) at 1:15 went to door, no package and no postal truck in sight. I have the tracking number. My husband drove to see if he could find carrier to correct this mistake. Now I have no clue who has my package. But I received notice of delivery and went to door and no truck there. It was not left with any individual and want to find my package. Husband got in car and found delivery postal carrier, she states another person delivering packages and we were unable to locate that person. My husband was driving around within 20 min of notice to find truck. Drove around neighborhood looking for another truck, none seen in nust 20min. of delivery that stated it was given to person, not at address it was addressed to though. Now hope honest person will bring. BUT ALL OF THIS HAPPENED WITHIN 20MINUTE WINDOW DRIVING NEIGHBORHOOD LOOKING FOR A TRUCK.

Very disappointed in your service. It took two weeks for my son in Ankeny to receive a card from us. First was sent back to us be cause they said there was no such address, so our post office in parsons ks resent it and it took another week to get to him. That is very poor service. My husband has been a postal employee for 35 years and could not believe this. From now on we will be sending our stuff through the ups service. His sister will not mail anything also because things have been stolen in the mail from there or lost. You group needs some work. Very poor service. Ks is much better.
