Horrible mail hold service. Placed hold on my mail starting on 8/8/2023 and requested held mail to be delivered on 8/22/2023. No mail 8/22, no mail 8/23, no mail 8/24, no mail 8/25. Went to post office 8/25 at 2:45 pm . Was told mail lady had my mail and would be deivered later in the afternoon on 8/25. At 6:00 pm check my mailbox and still no mail. Very sad operation.

When I went to collect our mail today, there was no mail, but there was a RED DOT in our box. What does this signify? We have not asked for our mail to be held. Thank you. Sharon Tubay 269-961-0032

I personally delivered a change of address form to the Punta Gorda office in late March. My last name is Shattuck. My former address was 1750 Jamaica Way. #321. My new address is 23053 Westchester Blvd. Apt R101 Port Charlotte Fl. 33980. I have received NO mail in April.

Any time we (gated community) have an package being delivered (trackable) on a Sunday there are big issues with the drivers. I know they hire extra people just to deliver on Sundays. I was tracking my package. It was due before 6:30 today. The driver did not enter my Lot # at the gate so I could let them in but just reported that my location was inaccessible. That is total BS. When someone types in my Lot # I get a phone call that allows me to open the gate. I did not get a call. I sure wish the USPS would hire dependable people to deliver on Sundays. Now I have to figure out where my package is. The # 941-639-7016 for the PG Post Office is no longer in service. It just rings and rings then it hangs up on me. I tried the automated 1-800-275-8777 but that virtual assistant thing is just another headache as I can't talk to anyone.

Tracking Priority Mail package on computer from Tennessee to Punta Gorda. Left Tennessee on 23 Nov, arrived in Fort Myers on 25th Nov., and should have been delivered by 27 Nov at latest. Then sent, by some PO Rocket Scientist who can't read, to Tuscon, Az where it stayed a few days b4 going to Phoenix, AZ. Calling local postmaster for assistance is a JOKE. Just get some snotnosed punk saying there's nothing we can do and just wait for 30 days before filing a lost claim. AND WE TRUSTED THESE INCOMPETENTS TO DELIVER OUR PRESIDENTIAL VOTES. Look where that got us!

For several weeks now I am getting mail at 33983 addressed to other residences in 33983 plus addresses at 33980. Surely, the system of yesteryear is SUPERIOR to the UNION operated USPS of today. Heaven help us. You can't even get mail right. You all are paid too darn much for your inefficiencies.

The reason for their lack of efficiency is obvious; they don't even know how to answer the telephone. Additionally, they LIE concerning first class mail not delivered. It is amazing how a post office in one area can be so helpful and so efficient and yet another nearby toatally incompetent. I am damn glad I am voting in person and not subject to the morons at Punta Gorda PO. Civil Service at its WORST!

In April I purchased a book from Amazon while in Florida, I used my Michigan address, but it arrived before I did and was forwarded to the Punta Gorda, post office. Although Punta Gorda has "address forwarding" to my Michigan address it has bounced back and forth 6 times between Punta Gorda and their distribution center. I've tried to call but don't get an answer.

I received a call from mail carrier at my home away from FL. We talked about the best way to handle the mail situation- forward, hold mail - and he told me if my date changed for restarting delivery to contact them directly- unfortunately I can’t get an answer when I call - either busy or “the machine is not on” - I’ve been trying for a week off and on.

I have my mail forwarded to another state in the summer months. Recently I learned that a letter was send to my Punta Gorda address in the name of an LLC that I use. No LLC mail is supposed to go to my home address. Since the company name does not contain my last name it is not forwarded. Desperately attempting to contact the Punta Gorda post office to see what happened to the letter. Had a neighbor check and it’s NOT in the mailbox. Called their number and you have no option to talk with a person! You get a message and at the end the call disconnects. The national phone number has over one hour hold time! This is why people are so frustrated with our postal service!

I remember a time when the mail was sacrosanct. That was when the United States government ran the postal service. MAIL WAS NOT...NOT EVER...NEVER lost. It was a FEDERAL OFFENSE to tamper with it. Here in Punta Gorda my personal, private or valuable mail goes missing on a REGULAR basis and there is NO ONE to talk to...NO ONE to take responsibility. The phone is not answered, the Post Office web site runs you around in circles until you finally end up with a mailing address for the Consumer Advocate. My carrier has failed to deliver credit card statements, medical insurance claim documents, valuable merchandise from overseas (that one was returned as undeliverable--it required a signature and my guess is that the lazy carrier didn't feel like writing out a notice and just returned it to the sender, costing me a fortune--when asked about it...or anything, for that matter, his response is a shrug and a "not my fault"). Never any consequence for lazy, shoddy work in today's Postal "Service". Folks, this is what you get when you privatize everything. The Post Office today is an utter FAILURE. Some people have worked very hard to make it fail, and they've succeeded spectacularly. Congratulations, cretins.

We are in Florida, escaping the cold weather in Canada. I had ordered a parcel from England and realized I had forgotten to give the company our unit number. The community we are staying at has a very large number of temporary visitors. I went to the post office, explained the situation and they were extremely helpful and understanding. A few days later not only was the missing information on the parcel but the parcel was delivered right to our door. Thank you very much for such good service.

Punta Gorda post office has phone number, but, no one answers the phone, it goes to voice recording, to call the general post office 800 number for questions. 1. Being able to speak to "local" PO person would be helpful 2. Why waste tax payers money having a phone that you will not answer!!!! Privatize it.

Called the number for a change of address and was told there would be a 45 minute wait.. Terrible service. If it doesn't deliver, get rid of it, that is especially true of the post office.

I have been waiting for 2 packages to be delivered since Dec. 30, 2017. Our regular mail carrier is on vacation, but that is no excuse for the sub to be so inept! I filled out the pink card & put it in the mailbox, as directed. If these packages contain our meds, I'm even more upset!

Today Saturday, May 13th is Fill A Bag day for needy families... I have my bag ready and will not leave by the mailbox because our mail has been stolen many times and I did not want anyone to get the goods other than a needy family, so I put a note in my mailbox asking the Mail Carrier to please ring our bell... very close to our mailbox.... well she honked her horn and honked her horn and honked her horn...like an idiot.... all she had to do is honk once I have two dogs and they bark at every noise...so I was more than alerted that she was here.. we handed her the bag filled and she very nasty said " I can't be doing this shit" her words exactly... I apologized for the inconvenience but again our mail gets stolen all the time. Then she grabbed the bag so roughly that it ripped and everything fell out.....I had to then ask her to wait so I could get another bag......she left!! without the bag! So I decided that I would leave it by the mailbox and let anyone who wanted it take it.. within 5 minutes she came back and picked it up.... WHAT A NASTY SOB SHE IS!! NEVER SAYS HELLO NEVER HAS A SMILE.....GET A LIFE MAIL CARRIER YOU HAVE A GOOD PAYING JOB......BECAUSE WE PAY OUR TAXES!!!!!! I AM REPORTING HER TO THE POSTMASTER GENERAL.!!!! NO REASON FOR THIS!

Still have not received a package that was sent before Christmas. When I track my package, it clearly says that the package information was transmitted on December 29th, and that the package was received by the Punta Gorda post office on the December 30th. It then says enroute to destination as of January 3rd, but that is where it ends. It has not been delivered to its final destionation, but it has been "in route" for 8 days now??? Yet, for some reason, the woman at the post office told my mother that the package never arrived at the Punta Gorda office. I'd like to know where my wedding albums are, but the office seems to be closed at 4:40 when I call. I keep getting a recorded message telling me that they close at 5:00😕 Since this isn't being resolved quickly enough, I had to try to make contact somehow. Seems to me that an office that doesn't know where it's customer's packages are should either not be closing early, or should be picking up the telephone!

I just called the store at punta gorda at 4 pm on Thursday the 15th on December. I don't know her name but when I called to simply ask if I can pick up a package a day early she gave me huge attitude asking why would I even do that and that it makes no sense going on and on. To refrain myself from cursing her out over the phone like a child I hung up. There should be no reason she needs to understand anything. Saying how she just doesn't get it and doesn't understand. Okay wow thanks for that. I was told by your tracker of my package it was expected the 14th then the 15th comes around and still no package. Check again and now it says till Friday the 16th. I'm tired of waiting and simply wanted to pick it up today. This is unacceptable

I am pretty sure I talked to the same lady today. I did not get her name but she was very rude and condescending. I called and spoke with her about a package that I never received a few weeks ago and she stated she would check with the carrier and get back to me. She never did. I let it go and here we are weeks later and another package is missing. It says delivered but I don't have it. When she answered she didn't let me finish my sentence before interrupting and acting rude. She seemed annoyed to even be on the phone with me. I had to say to her multiple times that I wasn't mad at her or even the carrier. I had to ask her why she was acting the way she was when I was just trying to have a conversation. She started describing to me how I have to first look for the key, then make sure I have correct box and said "if the key doesn't fit then you have the wrong box".... ummm the problem is not my ability to match a key to a box, but the fact that I don't even have a key! She then acted like I thought someone stole the package which I in no way implied. I even said that all boxes have keys for them.

I dropped off multiple click and ships. While I was waiting in line to mail a non click and ship package, I made a video of the postal employ (girl) tossing packages in a bin. The packages sounded like they were hitting the bottom of the bin and making a load noise each time. To me, it seemed just as easy to place the packages in the bin to avoid damaging whatever was inside them. It didn't look good. Thank you.
