A letter gift has been sitting for 5 days (rec'd. 12/18/23) at this location. And isn't scheduled to be delivered until 12/30/23. Come on y'all. Its going from FL to PA. It's a 2 day drive but my card is just sitting there for over 5 days, with no update in the tracker. Sad.

As of 3-4 weeks ago a new mail carrier for our street has been leaving the mailboxes open . She leaves the mail hanging out so it gets wet and has threaten me with not delivering the mail. She says the mailbox is too low. Nobody else who delivers has this issue. Our mailbox has been there for 5 years ,concreted in the ground. This past spring our road was paved raising the road up 4-5 inches. No other carrier has this issue but her and she is very nasty about it !I'm tired of calling the PO in Loxahatchee and complaining.

Mail delivery person doesn't cover our mail while delivering it. Just a truck bed full of packages that can easily fall out or get drenched when it is raining. USPS said they would text their carriers to remind them to use a cover on their truck bed. I find this to be an unsatisfactory solution.

To Postmaster Loxahatchee – 5/23/2020 From time to time I receive 3-4 packages a month via USPS, UPS, or FedEx and if the item is to large for the mailbox, they usually bring it to the front door and just drop it off, great. This past April, after checking online for two days, for a package from AMAZON I discovered it lying beside my mailbox covered in the dirt from the road. The package was an expensive pair of handmade shoes. I had originally thought that the box was some kind of trash someone had thrown out while driving by. It turns out that the shoes were fine and had not gotten damaged or wet. I understand that the box was too big for the mailbox and this was probably why it was dropped near the mail box, but wait... there’s more. Now this month after tracking a package for two days.. on the 18th or 19th, I discovered the package in the front yard laying in the grass wet. Again, the item was fine and no damage mainly because it was in a plastic bag. My point is this, my front door is about 150’ from the mailbox. We have a door bell that works, the front door has a portico over it so that anyone coming in or leaving a package would not have a problem. We also have security cameras, so I know when we get a delivery. There is no dog, the gate is wide open, what? Now the last delivery is particular concerning because of the total disregard for delivering it. My neighbor next door texted me one of those days mentioned and said someone driven up into the yard near the house and opened their driver door looked around and then closed it and just left? It would appear that that person just fliped the package out the window into the grass and left. In short…I’m not mad or angry, but I fine it curious that everyone seems to be terrified of coming to our front door? I’ve ordered a simple plastic package container from AMAZON to allow for anyone to drop off packages securely and not in the road or the front grass. It will have instructions for (1) How to ring the doorbell and (2) how to remove the top off of the package container and place the items inside, maybe this will help. Clerk did an unbelievable job in assisting me in sending a registered package. She went above what was required and I was very grateful.
