Whar does postal receptacle blocked mean when you have a regular mail box that opens just fine. I was waiting for an important package and I even went out and salted the 1/4" of snow that we had on the walk. What ever happened to the Post Office saying, "Through rain, snow, sleet, or" ............ Guess nothing in that statement covers laziness or "OH NO MR. BILL.... THE SKY IS FALLING" . It sure isn't like the good old days.

When did it happen that postal employees forgot what the red flag on the mailbox is for?! Whenever my regular mail person delivers the mail, and I have my BILLS out there waiting to be mailed, in a large box with a huge red flag and a SIGN right on the inside that TELLS the employee just how to flip the thing down and get the mail, she takes the mail all right! And every time I call, (like six times now!), all I am told is "I'll leave a note for the carrier." What does that do when it is likely a DIFFERENT carrier than who will deliver the next time my regular carrier is off? Very frustrating, I mean the red flag has been used for like a hundred and fifty years now, and it's as if it never existed before. Unreal. And I still like to use the post office; I feel for them when the lousy Republicans want to cut out Saturday delivery and blame them for their OWN shortcomings; they are after all management, and all they can do is yell at the postal employees instead of passing legislation that forces the post office to pay, what is it 5 years out for their whole pension plan?! Just so it LOOKS like they're not making a profit, when indeed they could be. I stand up for them all the time, but I'll tell you it is getting harder to do so when a guy can't even get his BILLS mailed.
